Chapter 8

Jin smiled knowing that now his friend could rightfully stand up for himself. He admired his plan and now that he had at least one truthful witness and even the kids around could see, he couldn't possibly be blamed for this, right. Jin shook the thought out of his head hoping that no instructor would pass by at all. Azuku paused unsure of what was going on now. Kuma could tell he was scared.

"What's the matter big guy? Don't tell me your scared now!" Kuma said as he began to bend the orbs around in his hands.

Azuku growled and began to take his stance. "I'll show you scared!" He then began to fire blast after blast of vengeful flames. Kuma began to think to himself knowing that now was the time to engage his next plan.

"I only have so much water… I gotta make this last!" He continuously said to himself. The boy began to extinguish the flames using his water and returned what he could capture. He then quickly strikes seeing his opponent was experiencing a change in speed. Azuku grunted as he was slapped continuously by the streams of water. Kuma felt confident that he could beat this man if he truly tried.

"Why you little!" Azuku moved trying to avoid as much of the attacks as possible. When he was finally freed of the water attacks he created a small flame in his hands that soon cover his fist in fire. He charged at Kuma intending to burn his face. Kuma gasped seeing the fist was inches away from his face. He quickly took his water and made a shield to protect himself. As Azuku punched at the shield, steam was created.

"Ah! No he's making me lose more and more water!" Kuma thought before backing away and bending his remaining water to strike back at the male. He finally was able to make a cut on the males face causing slight bleeding. Azuku grunted and touched his face. At the sight of blood he paused then growled as he clenched his fist.

"You cut me brat!" He yelled before spitting fire at Kuma. He yelped and quickly began to move around the opponent avoiding what he could. Jin could tell that his friend was in trouble. He had to make sure that Kuma didn't lose his focus and end up wasting all his water. He quickly cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled.

"Kuma! You can do it, I know you can!"

Hearing his friends words of encouragement, Kuma got back to his senses and stood his ground. He began to bend his remaining water and charge at the male.

"I've only got a little bit of water left! Let's make this count!

Kuma forced the water into a large orb and held it above his head before dropping it to the feet of Azuku. It created a large wave that Azuku seemed to be swept by. The wave pushed the male until he crashed into a stone pillar. The crowd went silent unsure of if the bully was defeated. Kuma folded his arms feeling as though he was the victor. Jin stood with wide eyes seeing what his friend had done. He wasn't even aware that he COULD do something like that.

"Well looks like that takes care of t-"

Kumas words were interrupted by the sound of broken rock moving. From the remains of the now broken pillar stood a soaked Azuku. He panted heavily and rage blazed in his eyes. Kumas eyes widened unable to believe that the male was still standing.

"How… How did!"

Azuku laughed as he slowly began to walk towards the boy. "I'm tired of your stupid splashing around! I'm gonna burn you to pieces!" He quickly shot a fireball as Kumas feet catching him off guard and making him trip to the ground. Kuma glared angrily as the male that stood before him. Azuku quickly jabbed his foot at Kumas stomach and held him down. He held out his hand that was now circling with fire.

"This is gonna hurt! A LOT!"

Kuma yelped from the kick to his stomach and panicked slightly unable to move now. Jin gasped unsure of what he should do. He closed his eyes unable to watch.

"What am I doing!? I should be saving him not cowering on the side! Dad would never do this! Dad would stand up for his friend and they would fight together. But Kuma has no water left and I… I'm not that strong. Oh dad, I wish you were here…. Dad…. Dad." Jin bit his lip thinking to himself before finally letting go.

"Dad!" Jin yelled out. Azuku paused and looked over at the crowd hearing a sudden yell. Kuma paused knowing that voice. He then looked at the sky which now was turning black. His eyes widened.

"Wait…. Is that!" He thought before smirking. The heavens were indeed in his favor. Soon small droplets of rain began to fall. Kuma quickly formed an orb and smashed it into Azukus face getting the male off of him. When he was free, he stood and formed another orb before holding the large ball over his head. The rain was now moving faster and falling harder.

"Hey hot head!" Kuma yelled out.

Azuku groaned as he held his now aching face.

"Why don't ya cool down!" Kuma yelled as he unleashed a large wave towards Azuku. Azuku opened his eyes and yelled out before being completely soaked again. The boy soon groaned and laid on the ground knowing he was defeated. Kuma, as well as the other kids, cheered knowing that the bully was defeated. Jin couldn't help but cheer as well until hearing a voice.

"What the!? What is going on here?! All of you inside now!"

Soon all the kids began to head back to their rooms not wanting to get in trouble.

Jin closed the door as he panted.

"Gee that was a close one huh?"

Kuma sat on his bed as he rubbed the slight burn marks on his face.

"Pf. Did he have to hit my face though? I need that in life."

Jin smiled. "You sure did get a lucky break. If it wasn't for that rain you would have been firewood."

Kuma smiled. "Nah. That wasn't the only thing that saved me."

"Huh what do you mean?"

Kuma smirked. "If you didn't cry out for your daddy, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have been distracted and would have got me sooner."

Jin blushed hearing him. "I wasn't crying out for my dad!"

Kuma laughed. "But we all heard you yell out dad, did we not?"

"Yeah but it wasn't a cry!"

Kuma laughed. "Well whatever it was, it saved my butt. It was like that moment you called out for your dad was the trigger for my luck changing."

Jin groaned as he sat on the bed. "Can we stop talking about my dad now?"

"Yeah yeah whatever. Anyway I think we should celebrate my victory. You still got some of your grandmother's tea with you?"

Jin sat up. "Yeah. She sends me a box full every month. Why?"

Kuma smiled. "Let's make some! It will help me heal my wounds faster."

"I don't think my Gran Grans tea can just HEAL burn marks…. I don't think tea can heal anything."

"Awww come on Jin. Can't you see? Your grandmother's tea is something special. And do you know why?"

"Because a chicken helped make it?"
Kuma shook his head. "No! Because the secret ingredient is love~."

Jin rolled his eyes and laughed. "Now you're starting to sound like her fan."

Kuma shrugged. "Well the woman can make some good tea."

Jin got off his bed and got the box full of tea before heading to the door. "Come on. Ill race you to the kitchen, champ!"
