I was a very big noob, I had watched some MC vids on how to play because we had trouble installing it, then I made my world. I found this island and decided to build my wonderful house on it. I made a tall dirt house with torches so my island was safe at night. Now for the noob fails, first, I got a pet chicken and made this double door thing and dirt to make it so the chicken couldn't escape. This took up about half my beautiful dirt house, eventually I showed my better at minecraft brother and he said "It would look better with fences and a ladder for a way in" and I said "Is that a hack?" My brother proceeded to face palm. Second part, in the same world. Note: this is after at least 3 months of playing minecraft. I was in my world, mining, and I was getting bored of running into the water that surrounded my island. I pressed escape to leave from boredom, and I saw a section called achievements, I looked through them and saw the achievement DIAMONDS and I was like "They have diamonds in minecraft? How is I get those?"
