Another time I played in New World w/ my brother. After a successful "night hunt" I had a boat load of string and skeleton arrows with no idea what they did. Then my brother told me about bows and how they worked so, thinking of the Hunger Games, I immediately made a crafting table and went to the "Tools and Weapons" interface.
How crafting in Xbox works is that you click on your preferred item to craft instead of placing the ingredients in a 9x9 square. Bows and fishing rods are right next to each other. When I thought I had found the bows, I started spamming the A button exclaiming "Look at all these bows!"
Then my brother said my name in a flat voice.
"Yeah?"
"Those are fishing rods."
I had made a half-full inventory of fishing rods.
Recently on our more pro world, I planned on enchanting a bow with level 30. I had made a fishing rod on accident but didn't realize it. So I went down all the way to our enchanting room, put the fishing rod in the enchanting table, but nothing happened. I spammed on the fishing rod going, "I think the enchantment table is broken!" (in Xbox, they're not enchantable yet)
Again, my brother said my name, except laughing.
"Yeah?"
"That's a fishing rod."
I had tried to enchant a fishing rod. Apparently I am blind.
