So when I had learned how to break blocks (The experience of it was mentioned in this story so no purpose on telling it), I saw a cave in a distance and that meant I also saw stone. I was like, "Isn't stone tools like the upgrade of wooden tools? So I mined the stone with MY HAND (Too lazy to make wooden tools) and it took a long time before it broke. I got nothing out of it. I thought it was a glitch so I deleted my world and tried again on a new one. Same thing happened. I kept doing it until I gave up and stopped playing Minecraft for two weeks.
Once I found out how to get stone, (by watching YouTube) I kept mining down and until a Y level of about 5, I found a cave. I found iron when I was exploring the cave but was too lazy to smelt it during the time. Finally, I found DIAMONDS! I was so happy because from what I know, it's the best kind of material EVER. I mined the diamond ore with my STONE pickaxe so... guess what? 5 diamond ores gone for nothing... *sigh* Why me...
I decided to make a house underground so I mined WAY DOWN (I learned the golden rule of not mining down so I mined diagonally) and during the level where lava will appear, I mined up one block to start my house. When I was only about ten blocks away from completing my house, what is on the block I was mining was lava. I thought that lava was just a block (Never saw a video about lava) so I ignored it but just as I mined that block, my pickaxe broke so I quickly headed up where I placed my chest which contains all my stuff. When I went back down with my brand new iron pickaxe, I saw that the room was flooded with lava. INSTANT RAGE QUIT.
