{Man, hey guys! It has been one HELL of a long time since I've updated this story. So quick rundown; I had surgery, got a boyfriend, moved in together, got engaged, became a teacher etc. SO I HAVE BEEN THE BUSIEST FUCK OMG. BUT. I saw someone followed the story so I was determined to write another chapter. I hope you're all ready to get the show on the road! Enjoy this teaser! I promise I'll update Monday too ;) }

As Dave held Jades hand they continued walking side by side down the hall towards the elevator. It was hard to believe that after several years of being online friends and late nights in that damn game that the girl who had first stolen his heart had by chance shown up in his city. Roxy's bar. The same time. If Dave believed in fate, he would have shaken the bastards hand and bought him a drink.

Their feet thudded against the carpeted floor as they got closer. It pained Dave to even let go of her hand for a moment, but he did so. His fingers slowly began to untie themselves from her grip. He felt her fingers attempt to linger on his skin. He could feel her begging for his hand back. Attempting to make the seperation quick, he reached for the button and tapped the down button.

Jade took a deep breath. "So Dave, tell me something." Dave stopped his inner thoughts as she spoke to him, his full attention directing to her. "Depends on what you wanna know." Damnit. If being a douche was a contest I'd be winning fucking Golden Globes for that shit. "Do you still play SBURB? I mean, I know it's kinda old... I haven't been on it in a long time myself so I totally get it if you don't." Dave shook his head 'no' as he bit his bottom lip. "Nah...when...well..." Dave tried his best to force himself to talk. It had been so long since he associated anything with Bro. "When Bro died, I stopped. I couldn't bring myself to log in you know?" Jade brought her hand up to her lips in shock. "Dave if I had known I wouldn't have asked...I am so sorry..." Dave shook his head again, forcing a smile and a change of topic. "Hey did you ever get your plane ticket taken care of?"

Oh yeah... Jade had totally forgotten about her trip home. Of course she knew that she'd have to get back home sooner or later but there was almost no way she could imagine herself leaving Dave. She fought back her thoughts as best as she could. They had never formally told each other of their feelings but they almost had a sure feeling that the other would have returned the emotions. "Well, about that...Dave what would you say if I decided to stay?" Dave's head shot up from his fixation of his hands. She wasn't serious was she? All her things had been left on the island except her bass and her bike. Although the question was strange he couldn't help but allow his interest to be noticeable peaked. "Where would you stay?"

Jade's feet began to dance on the diamond patterened carpet beneath her. She couldn't help but be thinking the bluntest thing she'd ever thought of saying to anyone. Granted they'd known each other for almost 10 years, but her question would put not only her home status on the line but their friendship and possibly more if she wasn't careful. Just the thought of having to ask had her heart racing and her palms sweating as she attempted to rub them on her jeans to hide her nervous demeanor which was impossible at this point.

"You." Her head bolted to direct her line of vision at her hands that ruffled her jeans between her fingers, crumpling and stretching. "E-excuse me?" Jade's words shot out of her mouth as quickly as she could and the air seemed to thicken around them as she couldn't hold her emotions and thoughts in anymore. "I want to stay with you Dave! I'm so tired of being alone! I never knew what feeling loved was like until I met you and we talked every night and you'd skype me and tell me that everything was going to be ok! The nights during storms where you'd make sure I fell asleep without crying! I want to stay here with you!"

Ding.

The doors to the elevator seperated finally and Dave couldn't help but loose himself in her voice and her words that radiated through his ears and down his spine and eventually shot him in his heart.
