Jamie looked at the three drunk men in front of him. He pushed the woman behind him and prepared to fight. He glanced at the woman behind and told her to call the police.

It was just an average Friday night and Jamie decided to grab a beer after work. Danny was supposed to meet him there, but he called and said he was going to be late. So Jamie had gone inside and sat down at the bar. He was about to order when he noticed three drunk men, harassing a woman. She kept trying to get away, but they would grab her and pull her back. Jamie knew that he couldn't take all the men, but he wasn't going to let them keep harassing the woman.

As he walked over, he wished that he was still in his uniform. He walked right to the men and got between them and the woman.

"Why don't you leave the lady alone." The tallest one laughed.

"Why don't you mind your own business." Jamie glared at the man and stood his ground. The other two men stepped in.

"She's ours, now leave while you can." Jamie stepped closer to them, his eyes narrowing.

"I said to leave the lady alone. She obviously doesn't want you guys around." The tall one shoved Jamie. He stumbled back a couple steps and then clenched his fist. After placing his phone in her hand, Jamie turned back to the men. Jamie guessed the tall one was their "leader." He smiled and the two other men charged towards Jamie.

Jamie dodged punches, but for everyone he dodged, two would hit him. Finally, he was able to knock one of the guys down. He turned to the other one dodged a punch headed for his face. Suddenly, a bottle broke over his head and he fell to his knees. His vision swam. He stood slowly and started swinging. A punch landed on one of the men's jaws and the man fell to the ground, out cold. The other man was still on the ground holding his ribs. Jamie turned to the tall one.

Jamie's eyes widened when he noticed the man had pulled out a knife. He charged at Jamie and Jamie fought to keep the knife away. The man was stronger than he looked. Jamie cried out in pain as the knife bit into his flesh and imbedded itself in his stomach. The man grinned and pulled the knife out. He was about to charge again, when the door burst open he was ordered to drop the knife.

The man hesitated and then dropped the knife. Jamie grabbed a chair for support and placed his hand over the stab wound. Jamie watched as the police cuffed the three men and started to take them out. Jamie looked up and saw Danny burst through the crowd. Their eyes locked for a moment.

Jamie's adrenaline had run dry and he suddenly felt extremely tired. He felt himself swaying dangerously. Strong hands caught him and he looked up at Danny.

"I got you kid." Danny helped lower Jamie into a chair and Jamie grimaced in pain. "Where are you hurt kid?" Jamie removed his hand from his stab wound. Danny looked down and sucked in a sharp breath. He started hollering for paramedics, but Jamie could feel himself fading. He knew he should stay awake, but he couldn't. As he blacked out, he could hear Danny pleading with him to stay awake.

Jamie opened his eyes to a bright room. He blinked rapidly, until his eyes were focused. Danny was typing away on his laptop and Jamie turned his head a little. Danny looked up and smiled.

"Hey kid." Jamie gave a small smile back. "I'm proud of ya kid." Danny closed his laptop and picked up a newspaper. "You made the first page." Jamie read the headline. Local Bar Fight Ends With the Underdog as the Victor and Three Criminals Behind Bars.

Jamie read over the rest of the article and smiled when they reached the part where they had spoken to the woman he had saved. He turned back to Danny.

"You did it all for the glory didn't you." Jamie chuckled.

"No I did it for the chicks." Danny and Jamie bust up laughing.
