A/N: Alright so A ton of apologies are in order as I haven't been to consistent. I was having a rough time and I now got some control over my situation which means I'll be attempting to write as often as I can. If anything I will find a way to make it up for the lack of updates if you guys and gals wanna suggest something then by all means drop a message and I'll see what I can do. So this continues from where we left off and hopefully we can get things rollin'. If it sounds strange my bad I think I'm still in transition for my writing style so we'll see what happens. Enjoy

The two days passed by quickly as the contestants trained for the next round of the tournament. Team Rwby prepared by training with each other as well as getting pointers from their instructors. Yang sparred multiple times against each team mate and then trained with Ike to find any flaws in her technique. "So?" Ike chuckled as he stood up and cleaned the dust from his hands. "So what?" Yang grinned as she punched her fists together and looked at a large block of granite which was pulverized. "Think I'm ready?" The vanguard chuckled again and nodded as the blonde fighter grinned and headed for the exit of the training grounds.
Weiss was nowhere to be seen until the evening of the second day as she walked into her room with a book hidden under her arm. When asked she said she found it lying on a table in the cafeteria. "I learned about five of the spells in this book. I wonder if it-" Her eyes widened as she turned as noticed Soren watching her with an irritated gaze. "So this is where my tome went." She chuckled nervously when he walked to her and took the book from her with a low grumble. "Good job." He turned and walked away with the tome back in his hands. She sighed in relief as she noticed that he had complimented her ability to learn some of the spells in the tome. With a nod she walked back to the main building in the arena.
Blake spend a majority of the time training with her heightened senses as well as sparring with her teammates as well as her two laguz acquaintances. She was able to become more precise with her throws as well as being able to notice attacks coming from farther away. The feline faunus avoided a series of throwing knives and then ducked a swipe from a crimson scythe. "wow Blake your reflexes are amazing!" Ruby grinned as the raven headed faunus nodded while packing her things. "You'll be a great challenge to everyone today." Blake chuckled as she sheathed her blade and placed it on her lower back before turning to the door. "I'm going to be aiming for the win. Let's see if everyone is ready."
Cardin spent both days strength training as well as honing his aura barrier in case he faced off against Nora or Pyrrha. He avoided sparring so he could be at full strength for the next day's events. Cardin grinned as he swung his mace and smashed through a pillar which caused him to laugh. "I'll be ready for anything." Dove looked over to him and nodded as he clapped the warrior's shoulder. "Well you trained enough. The challenges shouldn't be too hard now. Especially with Nora backing out this round." He laughed as he began walking towards the exit. "This will be easy."
Pyrrha and Nora trained for the two days allowing the lancer to perfect her barrier as well as fine tuning a majority of her techniques. "Nora so what did the doctors say?" The hammerer smiled as she sat down on a nearby bench. "Ren's body is recovering well and his head might not be a bad as they originally thought." The lancer let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "So when will he be up and running?" Nora sighed and shrugged. "I don't know. The doc said that it's up to him when he'll wake up. He just needs some time to rest in order to beat the fatigue as well as the damage he took during his fight."
Pyrrha sighed in relief and stood up with a look of determination on her face. "Alright I'll make it out of this round on top as well." The two nodded and were about to leave when the doors opened and revealed Jaune standing in the door way with a solemn expression. "I wasn't strong enough and I lashed out. I'm sorry for doing that." He stood still while his partner walked past him. He whispered something to her which caused her to bite her lip as she was tempted to accept his apology.
'I know I'm an idiot most of the time. I'm sorry and...I'll be there cheering you on when the time comes.' She swore she saw him smile warmly. "Pyrrha!" She turned to him as he was raising his fist towards her. "Win!" She sighed as she continued towards the main building with a small smile on her face.
Sun Wukong was nowhere to be seen until the day of the competition boasting about some secret training he had with his teammate. He grinned as he walked through the halls on his way to the main building until he saw Sky who was limping towards his team's quarters. "Faunus." He called out as he continued limping only to be stopped by the monkey. "Hey. Our match was close and coulda gone any way." The halberdier narrowed his eyes and pulled away. "Next time I'll win for sure." The faunus grinned as he called out. "I'll look forward to that!" the two walked away from each other and the monkey grinned to himself as he stepped into the building.
Ranulf trained along side his friend as well as some other people in order to get a feel of the different fighting styles. "Phew. I guess its time right?" Volug transformed back into a human and shook his head as he was trying to get rid of the fuzzy feeling in his head whenever he changed back into a human. "Win." The feline laguz smirked as he pushed himself up and readied the weapons he was using in that round of the tournament. "I know Volug. You and her lost so I guess its up to me now huh." The wolf nodded as the two of them walked towards the main building.
The arena was packed as the contestants entered one by one while the owner of the arena watched them from his booth. "I guess its time to begin the next round!" He quickly opened the window and jumped down with a smirk causing the audience to gasp as he landed with a soft thud. "Welcome one and all to the second round of the vale city tournament!" He paced around as he looked at the seven people standing in front of him. "I do regret to inform the crowd the Nora Valkyrie will not be participating in the tournament any further due to personal reasons." He pointed to screen which blacked out Nora's picture and then changed to the bracket which caused everyone to stare in anticipation to see who was fighting who.
"By now I hope that everyone is well rested and now on to the first match!" He walked towards the main seating area and jumped over the wall with ease as the bracket closed in and revealed the first two fighters. "Come on down!" The screen revealed the pictures of both Sun Wukong and Ranulf who both stood on each end of the arena. "Ready!" The two drew their weapons and braced themselves. "Set!" Ranulf pulled up his dagger and dug his foot into the ground. "Go!" The two charged at each other at blinding speeds.
Th two clashed and Ranulf quickly followed up by lessening the power behind his weapon in order to launch himself backwards. he grinned as he landed on his feet and charged directly at him once more but this time he was moving low to the ground. Sun watched closely when he felt something behind him. His eyes widened as he noticed the feline had jumped into the air and dove downwards towards him. The monkey grit his teeth and slammed his staff into the side of the feline's torso before he followed up with a series of quick jabs.
The blue haired laguz winced as he pushed himself up off the ground. "Impressive." Sun smirked as he charged forward and spun in order to gain momentum for the next attack. Before the monkey slammed his staff down, he felt a foot slam into his jaw knocking him a couple of inches off of the ground before being grabbed by the neck and slammed into the ground with the momentum of the fall. The blonde monkey grit his teeth as he wrapped his legs around his opponent's neck and pulled him off followed by a swift kick to the face.
The two separated and circled each other like predator and prey. Ranulf smirked as he lowered himself low to the ground and charged once again this time he jumped to the side and followed up by throwing his dagger at the monkey who simply rolled to the side to avoid the blade. A few seconds later the monkey slammed his staff into the side of the feline once again this time he swung it at full force and sent him tumbling back followed by separating his staff and forming the gunchaku which he quickly swung in a pattern that would allow the bullets to strike the laguz as he struggled to gain his footing.
The two separated and stared at each other as they readied themselves for the next clash. "Phew you look like hell. How many lives you got left?" Ranulf chuckled as he reached into his pouch and withdrew a gem which began to glow. "All of em" He roared and charged forward slamming his knee into the gut of the monkey who was wide eyed until he was sent into the ground with a heavy strike to his back. Sun struggled to get up as he tried to pull air into his lungs but to no avail as he took a kick to the chest which caused him to roll over to the side. "That all you got monkey? If it is then you're just wasting my time."
Everyone stared closely at the fight when a blue haired male sat down next to the members of team RWBY. "I made it just in time. Seems I get to see if the training me and Sun did worked out." Blake looked over and stared at the teen with narrowed eyes until he returned her stare. "Something bothering you?" The fauns shook her head as she turned back to the match which was picking up the pace as the cat and mouse er, monkey game continued.
Ranulf rolled to the side in order to avoid a blast from the gunchaku followed by charging at the blonde once again only to be forced to dodge once again as he continued launching shot after shot from his weapons. 'He's keeping me at a distance. I probably did a large amount of damage with the combination I used earlier.' He watched closely when he noticed that Sun was gone. "What the?!" He looked down and noticed a shadow which caused his eyes to widen.
"Its over!" He swung down with his connected staff and unleashed his semblance which formed the crown on his head. "Say good night!" He grit his teeth as the staff was made larger by the sudden flow of aura which crashed down into the feline whose vision went black for a split second before crashing into the ground. Sun stood up and picked up his staff then looked down where Ranulf lay immobile. He was about to celebrate his win when he heard a growl behind him. "What the hell are you made of?!"
Ranulf chuckled as he pushed himself onto all fours before his body became engulfed in a blue light which dissipated seconds later revealing a large cat where the laguz once stood. Sun responded by reforming the crown on his head as he spun his staff and readied himself once again. The next thing he knew, he was being clawed from every direction and he had no way of knowing where the next attack would come from.
Everyone in the arena watched in awe as the two contestants continued their fight which was now swaying back in Ranulf's favor. When the two separated, Sun was covered in slashes all over which wasn't too good for him as he struggled to stand. His crown began to fade until he looked at the feline who began walking towards him low to the ground as if he was about to deal the final blow to his prey. In the stands, the blue haired male grit his teeth as he looked at the scenario unfolding. "C'mon Sun. USE IT!" The voice caught his attention and he looked at his teammate who gave him a thumbs up. The monkey chuckled as he raised his staff and focused.
Everyone went silent as the two clashed at full strength. The feline's eyes widened as he felt the full force of the staff impact his head causing him to see black followed by knocking him out of the transformation. He crashed into the ground and blinked a couple of times but barely saw anything expect a large gash across the monkey's chest which caused him to fall to his knees. Seconds later Linzer jumped down and looked at the two fighters then raised Sun's arm. "Winner of the first match of the second round is! Sun Wukong!" Everyone cheered as medics stepped out and helped both fighters to the back to get the proper treatment.
Everyone watched the bracket as the names were shown and the two fighters stood across from each other. Linzer raised his hand and caught everyone's attention. "The second match will begin! Yang Xiaolong! Versus Weiss Schnee!" The two charged at each other but the heiress quickly avoided the blonde fighter and unleashed a torrent of flames which her opponent avoided. The two circled each other before Yang took the initiative and lunged forward.
Weiss was prepared as she rolled out of the way and followed up with another torrent of flames only to miss and take a punch to the stomach as punishment. She grit her teeth and quickly focused before kicking the fighter in the shin and unleashing a burst of wind which caused them both to stagger backwards. Once they separated, Weiss channeled and unleashed a powerful spell. "Arcwind!" Three cyclones wrapped together and impacted the fighter and slammed her into a wall before a cloud formed above her. "Elthunder!" A bolt of electricity crashed into her and she watched as her opponent was slumped against the ground.
"Was that enough?" She sighed but before she could react, a fist smashed into her cheek and launched her across the arena and into the opposite wall. Yang punched her fists together and rushed forward pulling her arm back before crashing into the wall creating a large crater where the heiress once was. When she turned she was slammed into the crater by another arcwind which did considerable damage. "Damn.. I keep falling for her tricks." She pushed herself up and closed her eyes causing the heiress to raise an eyebrow.
"Might as well take advantage." Weiss readied another spell but before she could cast, she winced as a bullet tore past her shoulder causing her to wince. Seconds later Yang punched her opponent and followed up with a series of quick strikes that built up a fair amount of damage. The heiress coughed as she pushed herself up only to feel the air exit her lungs when a knee slammed into her stomach followed by being forced back into the ground by the fighter's power strikes. Before the fighter could follow up again the heiress was gone and she had been surrounded by a series of white glyphs.
The fencer began to dash from glyph to glyph leaving a slash on Yang every time she dashed by until the fighter began to deflect her blows one by one. "Take this!" Yang's eyes widened as the heiress sped up and began leaving more and more cuts as she continued to increase her speed. When she looked up, she saw a yellow glyph but before she could try to escape, she was attacked. "Elthunder!" As the heiress stood behind the fighter, the glyphs shattered and a bolt of electricity struck her leaving her in pain as the electricity ran its course.
Weiss looked over and thought she won when she took an uppercut causing her to fly off the ground for a few seconds before she felt multiple strikes that launched her in different directions before she heard a war cry. Yang drilled her fist into the heiress' stomach and launched her into the ground where she made a crater. The fighter winced as she nursed her wounds which had begun to heal with her aura. A few seconds later she avoided a series of spells meant to incapacitate her.
The two stood across from each other with their chests rapidly rising and falling as they tried to catch their breath. After a few seconds, they both charged and missed each other before the fighter turned and backhanded her opponent before following up with a series of punches that left her in a daze. She grinned as she was about to land a right hook when she noticed a red glyph in front of her chest. "Elfire!" The flame that erupted caused her to stagger backward before another cyclone crashed into her, slamming her into the wall behind her.
Weiss spun the chamber on Myrtenaster causing all of the dust to glow before she sunk it into the ground which caused a glyph to form under her. Noticing her technique worked, she held her hands out and began chanting in a strange language. As she chanted, the glyph began to glow a dark red and became brighter and brighter as time passed. Yang on the other hand watched what was happening and punched her fists together as she began to meditate. After a few seconds, a bright light emerged from the fighter along with a massive amount of aura flowing out.
Ike looked over at Soren who was biting his lip as he watched what Weiss was doing. "Don't tell me she learned flare." The mage watched intently and shook his head as he pulled up his tome and began reading through it. After a few minutes he grit his teeth and began running towards the battlefield entrance. The vanguard looked at Yang and clasped his hands as he watched the rest of the fight unfold.
Once the fighter opened her eyes, they were a bright red which caused her aura to spike once more as she charged forward. This time, the ground exploded from the sheer force of the dash. The fencer watched intently then raised her arm which allowed a flame to channel into the sky. "Arcfire!" The flames crashed into the fighter who dispersed them with a shockwave before avoiding a series of bolts which were meant to electrocute her. "Yang surrender before I use the strongest technique I learned from that tome."
The fighter simply returned to her stance and waited as the fencer sighed before allowing the glyph to glow once more before appearing in the sky above them. "Meteor!" Yang's eyes widened as a large rock covered in flames came out of the glyph and headed right towards her. She grinned and charged straight towards the large boulder before pulling her fist back. "This isn't enough to stop me Weiss!" She screamed as she punched the rock causing it to explode and knock both contestants into opposite walls. Linzer's eyes widened as he quickly activated dusts barriers which stopped the debris from killing the audience.
Soren stepped onto the battlefield and examined the damage which caught him by surprise when he avoided a lightning bolt. Weiss was breathing heavily and her eyes seemed like she was unconscious. She slowly walked towards the mage while launching random spells when he closed the gap and looked down realizing that the glyph she originally put up was still up and running. "Damnit Weiss!" He quickly avoided a blade of wind and simply channeled his energy before slamming his palm into the ground. "Tornado!" The dust cleared and Yang was still standing but barely as she was using the wall to keep herself up.
Linzer watched as Soren quickly snapped his fingers and a glyph similar to one the fencer was using. He quickly swung his hand and a series of blades began carving up the glyph before it fully disappeared. He then turned and proceeded to slap the heiress of the schnee corporation which caused her to fall over and pass out. The crowd was confused as he picked up the heiress and left the arena.
Yang looked around and then noticed the screen had her picture with the word winner under it which made her chuckle as she finally succumbed to her wounds and passed out.
Wesson stared at the tome in his hand as he deciphered the language which would give him access to the magic the newcomers had brought with them. "Hmm I can see why the spells would indeed be more powerful." He continued translating until he reached what looked like a strange glyph. He narrowed his eyes and then they widened as he realized what it was. "The catalyst?!" He quickly reached for a sheet of paper and began scribbling the strange symbol which he copied to a tee. When he noticed the intricate design he smiled at his work.
He looked over to his weapon, the Myrtenaster prototype which he proudly used while fighting the white fang. He looked at it as he reached for a small device and began inscribing the glyph onto the weapon which happily accepted the newly acquired marking. After an hour of marking and re-treating, he looked at his work and smiled as he stood and readied his blade. His eyes closed as he channeled his aura into the blade which began to glow as the glyph lit up. "Come forth! Elwind!" When he swung the blade down, an invisible aura circled the blade allowing it to launch a small cyclone which detonated within seconds allowing the blade of wind to slice everything around itself.
He laughed at his success and sheathed his weapon as he pressed a few buttons which opened a screen. "Yes sir?" The person on the other screen was a man wearing a white suit with a black outline. He watched at the C.E.O of the Schnee corporation described the glyph and spoke about how it worked allowing the man to smile as he began to write down the details with glee. "When should we implement the changes to the firearms and blades?" He rubbed his chin and then looked at the man. "Finish the Behemoth Mark I then implement the glyph and its contents into any weaponry we have available that is mass produced easily." He crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes as he looked at man who was nodding. "Hide the glyph among the trim used on the weapons so no one discovers it." The man nodded once more before the call was cut.
The man smiled as he fixed his suit and turned to the large room filled with computer terminals. "I want the symbol on that sheet of paper on every weapon we have available for testing." A man in a lab coat walked up to the man in the suit and held out a tablet which he looked at. "Hmm so the patient is awake?" The scientist nodded and they both left the room and began walking towards a large pair of doors which were locked from the outside. "Open it up and make sure he's still unable to move properly. Don't want to get beheaded while saving the poor creature."
The scientist slowly opened the door and immediately ducked a needle which sunk into the wooden door. "I guess he's awake after all." The man walked inside and closed the door behind him. When he looked at the person laying in bead he smirked. "You know your wounds aren't even relatively healed at all right." The man in the bed narrowed his eyes and tried to get up but grunted in pain as he slid back down. "See. Just stay down and relax. I'll give you some sedative so you can heal up a bit faster." The man glared at the suited man and simply laid back down.
"The only reason you're alive is because you're helping me recuperate. Be happy the needle was just a warning." The patient turned his head and watched the man tap a syringe a couple of times before sliding it into the patient's arm allowing the liquid inside to enter his bloodstream. The liquid began taking effect almost immediately as the patient simply closed his eyes before speaking once more. "I'll help the Schnee Dust Corporation...only if you can take me to Blake Belladonna..."
The man grinned and clapped his hands. "Excellent Mr. Taurus! Once your body has fully recuperated. We'll allow you to meet with Miss Belladonna right away. we even tracked her down." Adam nodded weakly before his labored breathing calmed down and left him fully asleep once more. "Report to Sir Schnee. We've gotten Adam Taurus to cooperate with us willingly." He turned and left the room followed by locking it once again. "I Finally have the test subject I always wanted.." The man laughed as he walked away from the room that had a sign above it.
