This chapter was supposed to be sent earlier but I lost my internet connection and I'm sorry about that. This chapter almost reached two thousand words but there isn't any fighting in this chapter. I leave the fighting to the authors who help me update this story. For this story it is King Spike Rules. But I wrote this chapter all by myself so it may be confusing. Please read and review and stay awesome for reading.
XXX
The old lady who lived in her small house was sitting in a chair enjoying a cup of boiled water. She was a poor lady. She lived a long life and no one knows how she lived to be so long. She was lucky to be her age even if she hasn't completed some old people goals like having kids or a husband, shouting her name on the largest rock, or completing an old silly girls wish of being a queen of pirates.
Suddenly, her door was pushed open by men in golden cloaks. They didn't scare her. She could fight against five of them and come out unscathed. She had a name for these golden cloak men and it was traitors. They used to be pirates but now they were hired men—loyal dogs—to some man with a ridiculous name.
" Old lady." A gold cloak men with a star on his helmet walked in. That little sticker on his head was a sign that he was very important to the number of gold cloak men. His presence would make most of the citizens stand up and bow, but the old lady just looked at her cup as if she was going to drink it. " Don't get up. We know you have two outsiders hidden away in this house. Where are they?"
The old lady opened her mouth, but only to take a sip of her hot water. The water sent a scolding hot trickle down her throat. The gold cloak with the star walked up to her, bent over, and yelled at her face. " Pay attention woman! We're looking for two—"
The old lady slapped the man in the spot where his cheek wasn't protected by his helmet. " She slapped me." Cladded in such expensive armor you would think they were used to an attack. If all it took was an lady ladies slap to make these men snivel what hope did Gold Finger have? " When Lord Gold Finger hears about this you will lose your—" The woman slapped him again. Her fingers fell down and bruised his face. " She slapped me again!"
" I don't mind Gold Finger sending his men into my house. I don't like people yelling in my house." The woman replied putting her hot water down and smirked. " I am Liana."
" We don't give a shit what your name is. There are two outsiders hidden away in this house. Where are they?" Liana simply looked the other way pretending to be too old to know what he was talking about.
" I don't get many visitors. I have no family and no friends besides my old friends in my younger days when I was a pirate."
" She's hiding them. Search the house."
How rude, Liana thought as gold cloaks stormed in and started looking through her cupboards, running up her stairs, opening and closing her doors, and pulling away her rugs. Liana wanted to stop them but her arm was a little sore from hitting the star guards' helmet. That guard took off his helmet as he glared at Liana as if he wanted to fight her.
" We will find them granny."
" I have no idea who you are talking about," she lied showing her teeth and grinning. His eyes were red bulging and his eyebrows flared. Suddenly another man walked downstairs with a message.
" They're not in any of the rooms."
" Of course. She knew we would come here so she told them to hid in the one spot never look." The star guard started stomping on the floor. He stomped so hard his foot broke through the floorboards. He pulled his foot out and pointed at the hole. " One of you get in those floors and find those outsiders!"
He was persistent in finding these two outsiders. Liana knew it wasn't because he was diligent in his job as a gold cloak or was planning on taking them to jail. It was because one of them made a fool of him somehow and he was seeking revenge against them. Four gold cloak men lifted her couch and used it to smash open her floor. Four more came together to help lift the couch out of the floor and throw it through her window.
Gold cloaks cared about no one. They didn't care how Liana would never be able to fix the floor or lift that couch back into her house. They would never apologize even if they were wrong…the one thing they were not stupid about.
One guard searched the floor. He came out of the floor ten minutes later.
" There's nothing down but old carpets and a lot of rocks."
That star guard cloak was starting to burn up like a tomato. It was kind of funny to Liana the way he got so mad. But every time he was mad he pointed at her and yelled hateful things at her.
" I know they were here. I don't know if you let them through the back exit or are hiding them in some secret room but we—" Liana grabbed the front of her hair. She started pulling on it. " we…" The guard stared as she kept pulling until she was only holding one hair and pulled it out. " Why are you pulling on your hair?"
" What, this?" She asked while twirling her finger through her hair. "This is what I do when I'm bored. I pull on my hair and wait for something exciting to happen."
The star guard cloak stopped staring and shook his head. He was back to being mad at her. " Listen, smartass…granny. You're lucky you've reached an old age otherwise I would beat the information out of you."
" I don't think so. I may be old but I still have my friends…pirate friends. I was born with my tongue to bring starving poor angels together and turn them into pirates to fight back against people who enjoy abusing their power, like you."
Liana stood up and glared at the star cloak guard as he looked at her face. The star cloak guard had his hand behind his back; from experience Liana knew it was a knife. However, she was more than just an old woman. If today was a good day she could make these men kill themselves. Too bad for her, she couldn't do that anymore.
" Sir, they're making a break for it in the back!" One of the guards yelled pointing through the window.
" Are you sure?"
" Yes. I can see them running away." Every gold cloak man looked at the man with the star on his helmet. They were waiting for his orders.
" Well don't just stand there, fools! Go after her!" The guards yelled raising their swords in the air and then running out the front door. Liana didn't have a back door and none of them wanted to run through the walls like their superior commander does. The last one to leave was the guard with the star on his helmet who still glared at her. " I will make them admit they were in this house even if I have to turn the inside of their bodies into a Marine dinner. If they mention you I will see this house of yours taken down and every memento and heirloom you own burned while you wish you never assisted outsiders."
" I can tell you one thing before you leave." Liana said. The star cloak guard was hoping she'd admit they were here than he could beat her with the hilt of his sword until her face broke. But she just waved her hands in front of her face and smiled. " You have bad breath."
The guard growled at her as his face was red from embarrassment. He put his helmet back on his head and ran out the front door. He was following the rest of the fools chasing…nothing. Of course the outsiders were in her house, but they didn't make a run for it outside. They were still inside the house.
" You two can come out now. Their gone."
Fletcher and Christopher appeared next to Liana. Fletcher laughed with his big dorky smile. Christopher smiled while shaking a container of white pills. " Amazing. These pills really give us the power to turn invisible. Where did you find them?"
" Just picked them up in one of the islands me and my chums from my days of being a pirate sailed to."
Christopher was aghast to hear Liana mention that. " Then you really were a pirate?"
" The oldest living pirate on my crew." She giggled like a girl forty years younger than her and then she rested her head back on her chair.
" You're so cool!" Fletcher exclaimed shaking his arms excitedly. " Do you want to join my crew?"
" Hahahaha." Liana laughed. Fletcher was insulted by her laughter. " I'm sorry, I just didn't think you were serious. Me becoming a member of your crew? It's not that I don't want too. It's just…"
Liana pointed to her right leg. It looked like a normal leg. Then like waking up from a complicated dream her leg was now wooden with a small stump at the end.
" What happened to your leg?" Christopher asked.
" It was cut off in a pirate battle and replaced by a nakama with this wooden one. I was the cook in that crew, my captain's name was Malen. I was young, considered voluptuous by many men and following the orders my captain gave to me. This was before Gol D. Roger's was King of the Pirates. In fact my captain and my nakama were one of the first pirates to go to the Grand Line and come back with lots of treasure."
" Did you find any secret islands or find a lost treasure?" Fletcher asked. Christopher didn't know Fletcher very long but when Fletcher was paying attention to something it was because he actually cared.
" We never found any islands but that didn't matter. All we wanted was to chomp at the sight of treasure. What we didn't know was someone with other pirates followed us and fought us to the death for our treasure."
" You obviously won otherwise you wouldn't be here telling this story to us," Christopher said.
" It makes me happy to be alive today, but our ships didn't win that battle. Both sides reached a ceasefire when something appeared between us."
Christopher gasped. Whatever person could come between them could only be the legendary Shichibukai. " What man could stop you from fighting?"
" It was no man. It was a bird. A giant bird with green ruffled feathers. It created a wind storm that pushed us back to East Blue. After that I stopped being a pirate and sailed different islands until I found this island. Beautiful Badrat was once a peaceful island that flourished with fresh air until Lord Gold Finger sailed here."
