Chapter 39
Helena blinked at Hermione in disbelief, "What?"
"I'm breaking a confidence coming to you as it is." Hermione's eyes darted past the healer to the door, expecting the very woman she was speaking about to come walking through the breezeway at any moment. "Now, is there something that can be done to counter the hex?"
Helena rubbed her temple as she sat down once more, "Start over, and tell me all that you know. Symptoms. Where the initial injury occurred. Circumference of the numbness. Everything."
"One injury is just to the left of her eye which she showed me last night; the other two injuries are along her left shoulder and somewhere to the left of her breast."
"Wait," Helena interjected, "you mean she was struck with the hex in three places?"
"Yes, I…"
Helena stood grabbing her wand, "We need to go," she swept around the desk, "now."
"What?" Hermione darted after her, "Wait! She can't…"
Helena paused at the door, "The reason she's so damn tired all the time is because the hexes are sapping her strength; and if they aren't relieved then she'll continue to lose feeling and ultimately the use of her arm and eye."
"And if she wanted you to know," Hermione's voice hardening as she neared, "she'd have told you." Her eyes piercing Helena's, "So, no." She stopped moving, "You are not going to go and treat or even mention a word of what I have already told you regarding Minerva. I'm going to finish telling you what I know her symptoms along with her injuries are; and then you are going to tell me what you know and if there is some type of countering hex, potion, liniment, spell or magic dust that'll treat Minerva."

a/n: I can't help but want to borrow Helena and have her do cameo's in other stories :)
Thank you everyone for your support; my note in the previous chapter was merely to inform everyone that there is a vast difference in time/effort/etc in writing/working on HLFM vs Bonding. I can pick this story up and spend 6 hrs and crank out a week's worth of updates vs not even completing a 1/2 of chapter for Bonding. All of you are always welcoming and appreciative (which is awesome) when I update either story, but a few people had a question regarding it and I wanted to answer them. Unfortunately I haven't time right now to respond to many reviewers and PM's individually, between work, a business I run outside of work and some events occurring in my personal life so I left an author's note. Please note, that I do read each of your reviews/notes and I am grateful and honored that you take the time to write me - and as time allows I do try and send individual notes back(and I really wish it was with greater regularity but life, work, business, and the mundane things like eating and sleeping - which I only average 4-5 hrs as it is- do get in the way).
