Hello everyone. I'm going to try and post as many chapters as I can over the next week. I am writing this and my second in the series of my Profiler saga. My book title is Profiler Family Ties under my name Sheila Mobley on Amazon.

On with the story.

Chapter 6

"Give me one good reason why I should not blow this trading post to hell?" spits a very upset Captain Janeway.

"Because their government might take that as an act of war against their planet," said Chakotay. "Katherine, I know that you're upset but we can't hold up to the fire power that they may send our way."

"Of course you're right. Let's inform the proper authorities about this little operation the Ambassador has going and get the hell away from this planet. Send Harry in please," she said to Chakotay as he exited her ready room.

Harry enters the ready room and looks a Janeway.

"Take a seat Harry." He sits down in the chair in front of her desk. "The doctor is performing surgery on Seven as we speak. She sustained life threatening injuries while on the planet."

"Will she live?" he said in a monotone voice.

""He's doing all he can for her." Harry nods and rises to leave.

"Harry. Talk to me. I know how you must be feeling."

Harry stops and begins to speak. "Yesterday I was on top of the world. I was in love for the first time in my life. I thought I was in love with Libby but what I feel for Seven is so much more. Today I might loose the one person that completes me. I have no idea how to deal with that."

Janeway stands and comes to Harry's side. "I don't want to loose the daughter I just gained either Harry. I know you love her. She told me to tell you that she loves you and for you not to worry. She's a fighter Harry. She's not going to leave us. We have to be strong and believe that the doctor will work his magic." Harry begins to cry and Janeway engulfs him in a maternal hug. "She'll come back to us. Until then will be strong for each other." Harry pulls himself together and thanks the Captain. "Go to Ops. We're getting the hell out of this system. Once we're clear you can go down to sickbay and be with Seven." He nods and leaves the ready room. Janeway takes a seat and begins to pray. "Please don't take her from us."

Some time later they have cleared the Zyrillian system and resumed their course for earth. Seven's surgery was a success and Harry is there to greet her once she awakes.

Seven opens her eyes to the tired face of Harry smiling at her.

"You look terrible," Seven croaks out.

Harry laughs. "Good to see you to love." He closes his eyes and a small tear escapes.

Seven reaches up and caresses his face. "Why are you crying?"

"I thought I was going to loose you. Don't you ever scare me like that again."

"I will endeavor in the future to avoid any similar occurrence."

"Shut up," he laughs then leans down and captures her lips in a sweet kiss.
