This is a short fluffy chapter, but there is still some hurt Jamie. Enjoy :)

Jamie sat at a park bench. Danny was off trying to sweet talk a girl and Joe was playing soccer with his friends. Jamie heard a meow and turned his head to see a big fat black cat. He held out his hand. The cat crept forward cautiously. It smelled his hand and then brushed its head against it. It started purring and Jamie continued to pet it. The cat came closer and jumped in Jamie's lap. It kept purring and rubbing against him. Jamie was so focused on the cat, that he did not notice the soccer ball flying through the air, headed straight for him. The soccer ball smacked him in the face, scaring the cat. Jamie jumped and the cat dug its claws into Jamie's legs, to keep from falling. The soccer ball bounced away and Jamie tried not to scream. He pulled the cat from his legs, but the cat was still frightened. It started swinging its paws around trying to grab a hold of anything it could. The cats claws dung into Jamie's skin over and over. He couldn't get the cat off, he was struggling. The cat suddenly disappeared and Jamie looked up, just as Joe was shooing the cat into the bushes. Joe returned to Jamie's side.

"Man that evil cat did a number to you." Jamie could feel the scratches and nodded. "Come on, lets go to the bathroom and I'll clean you up. Jamie followed Joe to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. Jamie's eyes grew wide. He had scratches all over his face and neck and over both arms. Jamie winced as Joe placed a wet paper towel against the cuts on his face. "This on is really deep Jamie, I think mom needs to take a look at these." Jamie looked at the cut on his arm.

"But she'll use the stuff that burns." Jamie whined.

"It burns because it is cleaning the cut out." Jamie pouted and Joe laughed at him. "Maybe after mom cleans you up we can get ice cream." That perked Jamie up and he followed Joe out of the bathroom. Danny came running up.

"Jamie, what happened?" Joe answered for Jamie.

"He found that evil cat, that likes to hide in the bushes." Danny chuckled.

"I should have warned you about that cat. It seems sweet at first, that's why it is named Evil." Danny and Joe laughed as Jamie pouted. When they got home, Mary fussed over Jamie's cuts. She cleaned them and placed band-aides over them. Then as Joe had said, she took them all for ice cream.

"You should get attacked by cats more often, kid. Mom will buy us ice cream more." Mary chuckled and Jamie stuck his tongue out at Danny. Joe nudged Jamie and whispered about playing a trick on him when they got home.
