Chapter 13: Olympus Coliseum
As they are going through the Lanes Between, Tommy was telling Jiminy about his and Chuckie's adventure in the past. "As it turned out, that same hooded girl was the one behind that mess." Tommy finished his story to the cricket. "Well, that is quite a journey you fellas have been on." Jiminy said as he writes down everything he heard in his journal. "We are coming across another world!" Chuckie said as they see a coliseum with two statues of solders raising their swords in the air as it looks like it's on a cloud. "I know that world. That's the Olympus Coliseum." Jiminy said remembering the world. "Sounds like a cool place by the name of it. Let's go!" Tommy said as they head on down to the coliseum.
They soon land right in front of a large door as they stepped through to see the coliseum. "It looks like everything is now repaired the last time I was hear." Jiminy said as he looked around on Tommy's shoulder. "It was destroyed before?" Tommy asked him. "Of course. A monster called the Hydra attacked this place when my friends went to save a woman named Megara, but we called her Meg." Jiminy said to him. "That's some history. But who…? Hey look at this." Chuckie said pointing to a sign in front of a statue. "It looks like they are holding a tournament today. It also says that the great hero Hercules will compete." Tommy said reading the sign. "Do you think we should enter?" Chuckie asked his best friend nervously. "I don't see why not. Who knows, we might meet up with one of our friends in the games." Tommy said to him. "Okay, then let's go." Chuckie said as they head inside the coliseum. Unknown to them, a blue skinned guy in a dark robe with a blue flame on his head came up to the sign and reads it. "'Hercules is a model of true strength and gallantry – the perfect hero'?!" Then his skin and flame turned red in anger. "Oh, he's perfect, all right. Perfectly INFURIATING! He makes me crazy!" He said as the flame on his head erupted high into the sky. "Cool off, you hired me for a reason Hades." A teenaged girl's voice said from the shadows next to the entrance behind him as he calmed down and turned back to blue. "Of course, you take down Hercules and as promised, you get your friends back." Hades said to her. "Don't forget it." She said as she walks off still in the shadows. "Oh yea, it was a good thing she was desperate enough for me to control her. Even if she sees one of them, she won't be able to control herself." Hades said chuckling evilly.
Inside the coliseum, Tommy and Chuckie arrived into the lobby to see a satyr wiping up a rule sign with his back towards them. "Excuse me." Tommy said to the satyr. "Good timing. The games will be starting soon. I hope you did the very things from these two simple words: Eat. Bathe. Train." He said as Chuckie counted the words down with his fingers. "We don't think we are who you think we are." Tommy told the satyr. "What?! What do you mean you aren't…?" He said as he turned facing up to see no one and looked down facing Tommy. "Oh. Wong guy. What are pipsqueaks like you doing here? The coliseum here is for hero's only." He said as he got onto the ground. "You happen to be looking at heroes right now." Chuckie told him. "You two? Heroes?" The satyr said laughing. "It's true! We fought a bunch of Heartless before we got here." Tommy said pissed off at the satyr. "Okay, if you really are heroes, then I'll put you up into training to see if you are hero material." The satyr said calming down. "Thanks. By the way, I'm Tommy and this is Chuckie." Tommy said. "I'm Philoctetes, Phil for short." Phil said to them. "Hey, we happen to have a friend named Phil." Chuckie said in realization. "Yea yea kid, off you go." Phil said as he pushed them out to the training grounds.
Road to a Hero: KH1
When they get to the training grounds, they see a bunch of barrels all lined up. "Now look kids, if you want to prove you are heroes and enter the games, you are gonna have to take out a many barrels as you can before I call it off. Am I clear?" Phil said to them. "Clear as a bell Phil." Tommy said summoning his Keyblade. "I always put up with tests, but I hope this won't be any different." Chuckie said bringing out his staff. "That's the spirit! Ready, go!" Phil said starting the training.
"Thunder!" Chuckie said as he made bolts of lightning take out some barrels. "Light!" Tommy said as he spins around as columns of light blasted away the barrels. "Gather!" Chuckie said as he made a magnetic force in the air as the barrels are sent into the air as Tommy strikes them. "Take this!" Tommy said as he made a Ripple Drive and sent the surrounding barrels away. "Fire!" Chuckie said as he shot out a fire ball from his staff as it made contact with a barrel and made an explosion catching nearby barrels on fire. "Wind!" Tommy said as he made a tornado as it moved around catching some barrels and sent them away as it vanished.
End Road to a Hero
"Time's up!" Phil said telling them to stop training. "You know, you ain't bad kid. Looks like your capable of entering the games." He said to Tommy. "Awesome!" Tommy said raising his fist into the air. "What about me?" Chuckie asked the satyr. "Sorry four eyes, you don't have what it takes." Phil said stubbornly. "What?" Chuckie said in disappointment. "Look, the games are going to start soon. So don't be late." Phil said as he walked off. "I was actually looking forward to enter." Chuckie said looking down. "Don't worry Chuck, at least I got the chance to enter. We might still be able to see our friends in the games if we're lucky." Tommy said to his best friend. "You're right Tommy. Good luck out there." Chuckie said as they walked back to the lobby.
As they came back to the lobby, they see Phil talking to a strong looking man in some Greek armor. "This kid seems to be hero material Herc. He might even be a good challenge for you." Phil told him. "You talking about me?" Tommy said reveling themselves to them. "So you're the hero Phil was telling me right? Name's Hercules, Herc for short." Hercules told them. "I'm Tommy and that's Chuckie. We happen to have herd some things about you. I do hope we get to fight in the games today." Tommy said as he and Hercules shake hands. "I'll look forward to that." Herc said. "Okay enough with the intros, the games are starting soon, so you both get on out there." Phil said to them. "Okay." They both said as they walk out to the arena. "Good luck Tommy." Chuckie called out to him. "Thanks Chuck." Tommy said as he waked out.
Outside the arena, Tommy is standing in the middle stretching out for the match. "Okay, I just have to fight some opponents to get the chance to fight Hercules. This sounds simple." He said as he stopped stretching and summoned the Keyblade.
Desire for All That is Lost: KH2
Just then, a combination of ice and fire appeared as they formed into the Blizzard Lord and the Volcanic Lord Heartless. "Two against One huh? The Heartless just can't make things fair, do they?" Tommy said preparing to fight. "Be careful Tommy!" Chuckie shouted from the stands. "I will!" Tommy shouted back as the match starts.
The fight starts as the Volcanic Lord moves around leaving flames around, but Tommy stabs it from the stomach and spins around as it collides with its icy counterpart. "Freeze!" Tommy said as he made a lot of chunks of ice to the fire Heartless making a lot of damage. Then the Blizzard Lord started to breathe ice just as Tommy got on top of it and shot it strait to its fire counterpart. "Fire!" He shouted and he shot three balls of fire to the ice Heartless as it got set on fire taking damage each second. Then the Volcanic Lord summoned six fireballs and hurled them to Tommy, but he made a barrier and protected himself. "Time for you to chill out!" Tommy said as he made ice come from the ground and took out the Volcanic Lord as fire started to spread around the field. Then the Blizzard Lord made chunks of ice surround him, but he made a ring of fire to melt the ice. "Let's Finish this!" Tommy said as he rises to the air and performed a Ragnarok and lunched a lot of missiles as they head on over to the ice Heartless making multiple damaged and then became nothing but chunks of ice.
End Desire for All That is Lost
With the match over, the crowd started cheering over Tommy's first victory. "That's the power of the Keyblade." Tommy said as he spins the Keyblade around and puts it over his shoulder. "Great job Tommy!" Chuckie shouted from the crowd. "Your pretty good there kid." Phil said coming over to him. "Thanks." Tommy said facing him. "Now, your next opponent is going to be tough. He has a way with using fire." Phil informed him. "Okay, I'll remember that." Tommy said as he prepares for his next fight. "You remember me?"
The 13th Struggle: KH CoM
Tommy turns to see that behind him is Lea that he met a while back. "Lea? I didn't know you would be here." Tommy said surprised to see him. "I'd say the same thing for you Tommy. When I came here, I wanted to test out my skills in this tournament. Got it memorized?" Lea said as he summoned his Keyblade. "That is cool. One of my reasons is that one of my friends could be here." Tommy said to the red haired Keyblade welder. "Good point. You might even meet up with one of them here." Lea said. "I hope so, but are we going to talk, or fight?" Tommy said as he gets ready to fight.
"That's more like it!" Lea said and started to spin his Keyblade. "Burn, baby!" He said as he made the ground burning. "Very clever. But take this!" Tommy said as he throws his Keyblade as it surrounds itself into ice and strikes Lea once, but he moves out of the way as it came back. "No you don't!" Lea said as he makes a lot of strikes surrounded in flames and got him a lot of times, but missed as Tommy made a Sliding Dash to get away from the last attack. "Get a load of this!" Tommy said as he jumped and strikes him down as a pillar of ice appears and gets him into the air. Then started to attack him from the air then slams him into the ground as light appears and the fiery ground vanished. "Heal!" Tommy said as he raised the Keyblade to the air as a green glow surrounds him. "You won't forget this!" Lea said as a fiery aura surrounds him and started to spin and made a lot of fire balls come around him as they made their way to Tommy, but he made a barrier to stop them in their tracks. "You're finished!" Tommy said as he stopped time and made some slashes to Lea as time became normal as Lea is knocked down.
End The 13th Struggle
The crowd started cheering after the match came to an end as Lea started to get up. "Man oh man, for a newbie welder, you are very skilled." Lea commented as he unsummon his Keyblade. "You did well yourself. I was sweating a lot more than usual from all that fire." Tommy said as he wiped his head. "Yea, you got that right." Lea said laughing a bit from what he said. "Okay, time for a break. We will continue in one hour." Phil said as he came up to him. "I actually needed a break right now." Tommy said as he heads on back to the lobby.
"You two did well with that match." Chuckie said as he, Tommy and Lea sat around the lobby before Tommy's next match comes up. "I know, I haven't had a fight like that in a while." Lea said scratching the back of his head. "Really? Who did you last fight with?" Tommy asked him. "Well, believe it or not, it was with my old friend Roxas." Lea admitted to them. "Why did you and he fight like that?" Chuckie asked him. "Well, I was surprisingly in a rage that he doesn't remember me. You see, we used to be a part of a group called Organization XIII and…" "Wait, you and Roxas was once members of the organization that Master Xehanort is leading?" Tommy said in surprise. "Well not that one. The organization I'm talking about is a group of Nobodies that are born after someone turns into a Heartless." Lea informed them. "Born after a person becomes a Heartless? You and Roxas used to be Nobodies?" Tommy said in shock. "Yea, I had gone by the name Axel back then. Got it memorized?" Lea said with his catchphrase. "But what did he go by?" Chuckie asked him. "It was still Roxas, but who he used to be was…" "Hey, the match is going to start soon. So you beater get on out there kid." Phil said interrupting their conversation. "Okay, I'm on my way." Tommy said walking off. "Good luck out there T." Chuckie said as he and Lea head over to the stands to watch the match. On the arena, Tommy started thinking on who his next opponent is. "I wonder who it will be next. I'm not familiar with this world so I need to be prepared." Soon he started to hear footsteps behind and turns around to see. "So you are my next opponent… Suzie?!" He said in shock to see his friend Suzie Carmichael. In her hand is what looks to be a dark looking sword and for some reason, she has a scowl on her face. "Man am I glad to see you and… Why are you looking at me like that?" He said in confusion.
Extreme Encounters: KH BBS
Suddenly, Suzie raised the sword and ran towards him to strike, but Tommy moved out of the way in time. "What are you doing?" Tommy said shocked that she just attacked him like that. Then she jumped into the air to strike him head on, bur Tommy summoned his Keyblade and blocked the sword and made a lock on. "What's gotten into you? We're supposed to be friends!" Tommy said struggling to keep guard. "It's… not me. I'm not… doing… this." Suzie said in a quiet voice. "What dose…" Tommy said until he saw a dark aura forming around her. "Oh no! She's being controlled!" That is when a puff of smoke came and vanished to show Hades. "Yo hey, names Hades, lord of the dead. You like what I did to your friend here? She is my ticket on taking down Hercules after she takes you down key boy." He said chuckling. "You're the one controlling her?" Tommy said in shock. "Hang on Tommy." Chuckie said as he, along with Lea and Hercules run over to them, but a bearer appeared separating them from Tommy and Suzie. "Ah ah ah, wouldn't want to interrupt the match now do we?" Hades said to them. "Don't worry guys, I'll get her back to normal." Tommy said as he got away from the lock on and faced her. "You have… to set… my heart… free." Suzie said struggling to regain control. "I won't let Hades control you any longer." Tommy said getting ready to fight.
The fight starts as Suzie runs strait to Tommy and makes some slashes at a fast pace, but Tommy was moving out of the way until the last strike got him to the knee. "Take this!" Tommy said as he sent her into the air with an Aerial Slam, then teleported to her and slams her to the ground with a powerful shock wave. Then she jumps to the air and struck him on the back making him take a hard landing. "How about this!" Tommy said as he got back up and started sliding back to back at her as she gets struck each time. Then she stuck the sword into the grown as it started shaking making Tommy fall to the grown. "That's it!" Tommy said as his Keyblade glowed as he made a series of attacks right at her. But as he was going to deliver the final blow, Suzie countered with a bunch dark orbs right at him. "Heal!" Tommy said as a green glow surrounds him regaining his strength.
Then Suzie looked like she was getting worn down, but the dark aura around her grew bigger as she regains her strength and runs over to Tommy, but he gets away as the dark sword gets stuck to the grown. "Why can't I break you free from his control?" He angrily said as she tries to pull the sword out. "Tommy look, the sword!" Chuckie shouted to him as he takes notice of the darkness from the sword flowing into Suzie. "Of course! I have to destroy that sword!" Tommy said as he runs over to Suzie and used the Keyblade to send the weapon high into the air. Then he points the Keyblade to it as a beam of light shoots out strait to the sword as it started to crack up and then is completely destroyed into bits of darkness.
End Extreme Encounters
Then the darkness around Suzie began to fade away as she started to fall unconscious as the barrier vanished as Chuckie, Lea and Hercules ran over to them. "Is she alright?" Hercules asked the 12 year old as he puts a finger on her neck and can feel a pulse. "She's unconscious, but she is okay now." Tommy said relived. Then a puff of smoke appeared showing and angry Hades in its place. "How can the brat take her down like that!? I had it all planned out!" He said as he turned red in anger. "You obviously forgot one detail. It was the power of friendship. I knew her ever since she moved in across the street from me, and grew up with her along with the rest of my friends." Tommy said with everyone agreeing.
The Encounter: KH2
"I'll show you power!" Hades said his fiery head shoots into the sky as it became dark. "Lea, get Suzie away from hear!" Chuckie said as he brings out his staff. "No argument there. My skills won't have much of a chance with that hot head." Lea said as he grabbed Suzie with one arm and ran off back inside the coliseum. "Remember you two, Hades is no push over. You need to keep your guard up." Hercules warned them. "I can tell. Let's go!" Tommy said as they get ready to fight.
"That's it!" Hades said as he charges a large fireball and throws it at them, but Tommy strikes it back at him. "Deep Freeze!" Tommy said as a bunch of ice come from the ground as it made Hades rise into the air. "How's this for you!" Hercules said as he throws a punch the minute Hades got back to the ground. "Take that!" Hades called out as a stream of fire come in front of him as he started to burn up Tommy. "Freeze!" Chuckie said as he made chunks of ice come from the staff as they was sent to him making him stop his fiery attack. "You are gonna be in for a Strike Raid!" Tommy said as he throws the Keyblade right to him as he got stunned. "You can't stop a true hero!" Hercules said as he made two aura spears and throws them strait at the lord of the dead. "Want some more?" Hades said as he made a huge ball of fire in the air as smaller ones fall into the ground as it catches on fire. "Get ready!" Tommy said as he cloaks himself in ice as he rushes back and forth on Hades then jumps into the air and lands on the ground as a pillar of ice comes from beneath him and made maximum damage to the lord of the dead.
"This… isn't… happening!" Hades said clutching his chest. "You bet it is. Let's finish this Herc!" Tommy said as Hercules grabs his legs and spins him around until he let goes and Tommy is launched strait to Hades and knocks him down.
End The Encounter
Then Hades got back up as he backs up from them as he turned back to blue. "I've dealt with Keybladers before, but with one younger than them?! I'll be back. And next time, I WILL be the victor." The lord of the dead said as he vanished in a puff of smoke. "He sure has a grudge on you and Keybladers." Tommy said to Hercules. "He was always trying to take me down as some other people like you sometimes get in the way." Hercules reminded him just as Phil runs over to them. "Hey kid, your friend is starting to wake up." The satyr informed him. "Well let's go." Chuckie said as they head on into the lobby. As they arrived, they see that Suzie started to get up from the ground. "What happened?" She said rubbing her head. "Do you remember anyone named Hades?" Tommy asked her. "Yea, I remember him. After I ended up in the Underworld, he came up to me asking me questions. I told him everything that happened to our home and he promised to help me find you and everyone else. He gave me that sword and, unknowingly to me, used it to control me." Suzie admitted to them in a regretful tone. "That's Hades for you. But you only wanted to find your friends. That's what a friend of mine was doing when he first came here." Hercules said to her. "Anyway, what about the games?" Lea asked the satyr. "I'm afraid the games with be cancelled. That last fight nearly wrecked the arena." Phil said to them. "That's too bad. I was really looking forward on fighting Hercules." Tommy said sadly. "How about this. When you come back next time, stronger than ever, we will go one on one." Hercules offered him. "That sounds like a good idea. I'll look forward to that Herc." Tommy said as they shook hands. "Well we do need to go now. So will see you again when we come back." Chuckie said reminding them. "Yea, let's go." Lea said as they, along with Suzie was going to walk off until Hercules spoke up. "Before you go, I have something I'd like to give to Suzie." He said as he brings out a yellow shield with a lightning bolt on it. "You're giving me this?" She asked in surprise as she has a hold of the shield. "That's right. You will need something to fight with at times." He said. "Thank. See ya." With that, Tommy and the others all headed out the door.
"Hey, I think we missed something." Chuckie said to them next to the gummi ship. "What's that?" Lea asked him. "We didn't see any Keyhole around here." Chuckie told him as Jiminy appeared on Tommy's shoulder. "That's because the Keyhole to this world is already sealed. It was when the Heartless first appeared." Jiminy told him. "Oh good, looks like we don't have to worry about that." Tommy said relived. "What do you mean?" Suzie said puzzled. "I think we will let Yen Sid explain that to you." Tommy said as he summons his Keyblade and opened up a corridor of light in front of them. "That portal you made will send me to this Yen Sid you mentioned?" Suzie said in disbelief. "That's right. Not only that, some of our friends are at his tower right now." Chuckie said to her. "Okay, and thanks for saving me earlier." She said as she walked into the corridor as it vanished. "Looks like I will take my leave now. Nice to see you guys again." Lea said as he summoned a corridor of darkness and walked in as it vanished as well. "Okay Chuck, we beater get going now. The worlds can't wait forever." Tommy said as they head into the ship as they take off to the next world.
