Deleted chapters
Greetings everyone. Sorry if I took a couple of days to update, but here I am with the next alternative chapter and this is where things start to change. Enjoy the chapter, ladies and gentlemen.
Blu watched as the Angelus was struggling to move that required her to limb a little. He knew this was not going to easy to get out. Two of them were injured, and if their older selves were injured too, that would make things a lot harder than they needed to be.
Now that they have rescued her, the next thing they had to do while they were here was to rescue older Blu and older Jewel. They had to be quick before more dark macaws arrived.
Blu led the way towards the dungeon, despite the fact he was injured. He was the only one who knew the layout of this place. He turned back to the others for a moment, whom were close behind. "Guys, the dungeon is not that far now."
"Do we even have a plan here?" the captain asked, while he stood beside his queen in case she lost her balance. "That area could be heavily guarded, and we have no idea what we could run into."
"We'll worry about it when it comes to it, captain." the Angelus assured him. She trusted Blu with her life and knew he could get them out of this. "I trust Blu. He knows what he is doing."
The captain still had doubts, but he respected the Angelus' wishes and nodded his head to her in agreement and respect. "Of course, your majesty."
As they group continued roaming through the hallways of the Castle of Darkness, they eventually made it into a huge room that looked similar to the one where they fought that enforcer and a few dark macaws. There was an average size double-door at the end of the room, followed by two hallways on the left and right.
Before they had the chance to even blink, the way behind them was closed off with another dark essence shield and multiple dark macaws emerged from the hallways, standing at the end of the room, armed with melee weapons.
"Hold it right there!" a dark macaw ordered, pointing his wingtip towards. He seemed to be a commander of the group present, possible a Sergeant. "Angelus, by orders of Lord Nexus and the World of Darkness, you are ordered to surrender now or pay the price!"
"I'd rather die than surrender to you!" the Angelus refused, an angry face appearing on her face. She stood up fully as she slowly powered up her wings, now having some power back due to all the medieval wall torches on the walls that brighten up the place slightly.
The dark macaws did not respond to her. Instead, they split up into two groups and moved to the left and right of the area like they were making room for someone to walk through. Blu, Nico, Rico, the Angelus, and the captain watched in a shock as another dark macaw entered the room, and they could already tell he was going to be tough.
He was not just an ordinary dark macaw like the rest of him, he was different. He had glowing black feathers with mist of dark essence appearing from behind him. He had glowing red eyes like Nexus, he had grey talons and beak like the rest of the dark macaws, but his were darker. And to top it off, he was around the same height as an average dark macaw was.
The Angelus watched this dark macaw step up as she turned towards Blu and warned him of the danger ahead. "Blu, stay back. Whatever you do, let us handle this."
"Who is he, your majesty?" Blu inquired, even though he could already tell this dark macaw was going to be a challenge.
"He is one of Nexus's elite guards, the highest ranks in Nexus's army." the Angelus began to explain, while she kept a close eye on him, knowing what he was capable of. "He has powers similar to Nexus, except his are not as advanced. There are four of them all together. We're lucky the other three are not here."
The elite dark macaw used his powers to appear a medieval sword into his wing and raised it in front of him, preparing to take as he glared towards his target.
"Get ready." the captain suggested, clutching his weapon tightly as he prepared for one of the battles of his life.
The elite dark macaw was about to charge, but instead, he used his powers to appear some sort of dark essence grenade and threw it towards his enemies.
The Angelus immediately saw this in the blink of an eye and dived out of the way before it could hit her. Everyone else had moved out of the way. All except for Blu, that is, who could not move that fast due to his condition and was completely caught off guard due to the fact he had only just encountered one of these elite guards.
Blu did not get the chance to blink as they dark essence grenade exploded, sending him flying from his wheelchair and into the air, followed by hitting the wall with a sickening thud. He fell back down and landed upon his back, lying completely motionlessly.
Parts of his body were burnt, multiple injuries across his body, his bandage cast were ripped open slightly, and he was unresponsive. He merely laid there with his eyes closed.
"NO!" Nico yelled, immediately flying over towards his blue macaw friend.
"BLU!" the Angelus shrieked in sadness and anger. She growled angrily as she shifted her attention to the elite dark macaw and began to power up her wings. She now was stronger than earlier now that her anger had given her power. "I will rip your feathers from your bones!"
Without hesitation, the Angelus fired two light beams directly towards the elite dark macaw, who managed to jump over one of them, but the second one had hit him directly in the stomach and sent him flying back. He landed flat on his back with the rest of the dark macaws, but that did not stop him.
The elite guard jumped to his talons like a ninja and pointed his wing towards his enemies, giving the rest of the dark macaws to signal to attack.
The dark macaws raised their weapons and charged towards the Angelus and the rest of her team, crying out battle cries while doing so. Most of them were armed with swords, combat staffs, and axes. As for the rest of them, they were unarmed.
The Angelus powered her wings further and fired her light beams directly towards them, burning them and knocking them a fair distance away. She swiftly turned around and used her beams to break the dark essence shield behind them. "GO! Take Blu and get out of here! I will catch up! NOW!"
The captain of the light macaws was not willing to leave his queen to face those dark macaws on her own, but nevertheless, he respected her wishes and helped Rico pick Blu up and place him back into his wheelchair. "Come on! You push him; I'll watch your back!"
"I'm on it!" Rico obeyed and began pushing the unconscious Blu back towards the way they came, hoping they could get him back to the medic macaw before it was too late.
After they were gone, the Angelus was left alone to face the dark macaws with her owns strength. She may not be back to full power yet, but she still had some of her powers and her enhanced strength, and that would be more than enough to take them down.
These dark macaws were Privates in Nexus's army and merely foot soldiers. She could easily take them; it was the elite guard she was going to have a problem with now that she did not have one-hundred percent of her powers and abilities.
One-by-one, every dark macaw attempted to attack her, but they were either knocked back by her strength or blown away with her light powers. They were left with their feathers sizzling, but lucky for them; they would recover due to the Angelus not being fully powerful.
The remaining dark macaws were left unarmed and attempted to take the Angelus down with their strength. They surrounded her and practically jumped on top of her and attempted to hold her down. There were at least fourteen of them trying to hold her down.
The Angelus struggled with the amount of weight holding her down, but that did not stop her. She powered her entire body with light essence, closing her eyes in the process to concentrate. Her entire body powered up with light essence, and before the dark macaws knew it, the Angelus blasted into a ball of light, sending them all flying in different directions.
At last the dark macaws were defeated and were left lying scattered across the ground, groaning in agonizing pain as their feathers were burning up slightly. The Angelus knew it was not over yet when there was still one of them standing: the elite guard.
The elite dark macaw had decided to let the dark macaws act as pawns and allowed them to attack the Angelus, knowing they would not be able to take her down. He only did it in order to tire her down a little now that she was still a little quite.
The Angelus powered her light essence down back to normal to not further waste her energy, but however, she did use her powers to heal her talons fully so she could walk again. She glared towards the elite dark macaw with her wings placed to her sides. "I warn you to leave now before I do to you what I did to them."
The elite guard was not afraid of her threat and merely grinned in response and remained silent. He used his powers to get his sword again and prepared to take on the Angelus on his own.
The Angelus knew he was not going to back down and had no choice but to face him before she could escape. She spread her wings out and stood in a defensive position, preparing to finish this. "Come on."
The Angelus powered her wings up and fired her light beams towards the elite guard, who swiftly dodged each one and even deflected a couple of them away with his sword. He continued doing so, using his skills and tactics he had learned combined with his powers.
After a few seconds of dodging her attacks, the elite dark macaw made it over towards the Angelus and attempted to stab her directly in the heart. The Angelus moved out of the way and smacked the sword out from his wing before striking him in the stomach.
She went in for a second hit, but the elite dark macaw dodged her attacks like a ninja and kicked her in the chest, followed by a couple of strikes to her torso. The Angelus dodged him when he went in for another hit and struck him in the stomach, followed by grabbing his wing and flipping him over her shoulder.
The elite dark macaw landed flat on his back, but he immediately rolled around a few times to gain some distance away from her and kick her in the stomach.
The Angelus groaned as she struck him in the chest a second time, but he countered her next attack and kicked her in her hip that caused her quite some pain. The elite macaw leaped into the air and delivered a kick directly in her face, causing the Angelus to fall flat on her back.
As she felt the cold carpet floor press against her back, she turned to her side and noticed the elite guard's sword lying beside her. She quickly tried to pick it up, but she somehow forgot it was made from dark essence and ended up burning her wing. "OW!"
The elite guard chuckled as he picked up his weapon and placed a talon upon her chest. He held his weapon in his wing and moved the tip of the sword to the Angelus's neck. "Do you surrender?"
The Angelus refused to surrender herself to them. She lifted her talon up and kicked the elite dark macaw in his stomach. The elite guard attempted to strike her while she was down with his weapon, but he somehow missed when she rolled out of the way.
The Angelus took her chance to finish this while he was distracted. She delivered a powerful kick to his stomach, followed by two strikes to his torso, a second kick to his stomach, and then with one final strike, she uppercut directly under his chin that sent him a couple of feet in the air.
The elite dark macaw landed down on his back with his wings and talons spread out. He groaned as the Angelus stood over him with a wing to her hip.
To make sure he was not getting back up for now, the Angelus placed her talon around the back of his neck and pressed into his acupressure points that put him to sleep. Now that he was dealt with for now, the Angelus made haste to escape before more reinforcements arrived.
While she was running down the hallway, the Angelus knew that the dark macaws were aware that they were here and were going to search the entire castle if it meant finding them. They had to be fast and get out of here.
Shortly after the Angelus regrouped with the others, everyone made it back to the storage closet where the medic macaw was waiting and where their exit was. Although they could leave now if they wanted to, the Angelus still insisted that they rescue older Blu and older Jewel.
The medic macaw was currently attending to Blu who was still unconscious after being injured. He observed his injuries and was unable to tell how bad it was at this stage. "He's not looking too good, your majesty. His casts are ripped, he has multiple burned injuries. We have to get him back to our world."
"I have another power to send us back after we rescue the other blue macaws." the Angelus assured, turning her attention back to the captain who was going to accompany her on the way there. "Are we ready, captain?"
"Ready, your majesty." the captain replied, opening the door slowly to check for any enemies. He turned back towards Rico before leaving and decided to put him in charge while they were gone. "Ricardo, you protect everyone here while we're gone. You're in charge. Are we clear?"
"Crystal." Rico grinned, but he did give the captain a understanding nod.
"Excellent." the Angelus smiled, before it was time for her and the captain to go. "We will be back as soon as possible."
The Angelus and the captain exited the storage room and left the remaining members of their group alone. Hopefully they would be able to rescue older Blu and older Jewel and get back here in one piece. They had to be face as they were unsure how long Blu was going to hang in there for. They could only wait and hope.
