I do not own the characters of Dirty Dancing, nor do I own the movie. Let me know what you think of this story from me. Please do read and review this one, so I know if I must go on with it.
"Come on in." As I let Duncan walk inside.
"Mommy!" I heard Thom and went to the living room and saw him still laying on the couch.
"Hey son, what's the matter?" I sat on my knees next to the couch, he rubbed his eyes and yawned while he was still holding his teddy. He got the teddy from Johnny yesterday.
"Dada?" He looked a bit sad now. I stroked his hair and gave him a kiss on his head.
"Daddy will come soon." I whispered and he putted a fist in his mouth. I smiled and stood up again.
I looked how Duncan was dressing the table and smiled. I walked to the kitchen after I took a bottle out, I started to cook water and put the bottle in the little kettle to warm it. Duncan watched me and looked at Thom who somehow got off the couch and walked to the kitchen.
"Can you put him on the chair?" I looked at Duncan who came and lifted Thom up.
Thom started to giggle as he looked at Duncan who was smiling at him. I watched them a bit while the bottle was still warming. I could see that Duncan has experience and that he loves to be around children.
Thom babbled as he sat in the special chair and looking at me while waiting.
"You drink wine or something?" I looked at Duncan and shook my head.
"If it's not beer than its coke or water." I answered and Duncan looked a bit strange at me.
"That's new, you're the first woman I know who doesn't drink wine or so." I giggled and took the bottle out the kettle.
"Johnny taught me to drink beer." I said a bit dreamy and then giggled again.
"He actually taught me a lot of things, he was also in a lot of the things the first one." Duncan looked at me and smiled.
"That's special." He said as I came to the table, I looked at all the Chinese food and was a bit surprised but I sat down and looked at my son.
"I don't know if it is special, all I know is that I can't see my life without Johnny. He is everything to me." I looked at Duncan for a second before I start to feed Thom.
Duncan watched us a bit and smiled. "That's great really ma'am."
"Stop calling me that, I'm only 19." Duncan was surprised. "Really?"
"Yes really." As I wiped Thom's face a bit before feeding him further on. "You have already so much in your life for your age. When did you met your boyfriend?"
"When I was 16, back in 1963. I knew from the first day that he would be mine forever." Thom was done eating and I cleaned his face.
I turned to the food and gave a sigh. "There's so much." Duncan chuckled as he's already eating. I looked at him.
"Here, try this and this. It's great." As he pointed at some boxes, I looked into them and put some on my plate.
I was eating and surprised about the taste, I took a bite from everything just to taste it and Duncan was amusing himself about my reactions.
He helped me cleaning the table and doing the dishes when I went to the couch and sat down with Thom next to me.
"I think I'll be going now, it's late already and I guess my friends are waiting for me to go out." I looked at him and nodded with a smile.
"That's okay." He went to the door. "Oh Duncan?" He turned to look at me.
"Yes?" "You are my driver aren't you?" He nodded and waited. "Would you like to bring me to this hotel tomorrow?" As I reached out the business card to him.
He came back to me and took the card from me, his mouth dropped as he look back at me. I was a bit confused.
"This is one of the most expensive hotels in London." I was a bit surprised.
"But I guess I can bring you there, can I ask you why you need to be there?"
"I'm going to have lunch with my boyfriend's uncle. He's here for business and gave me this hotel. I need to be there at 12." I told him as Thom was crawling onto my lap, I cuddled him and gave him a small kiss.
"That's lovely, I will bring you there." I nodded with a smile.
"Thanks, if you want you can join us for lunch as well." I was honest, I like his company somehow. He's a very sweet, caring and admirable man.
"I will think about it." I nodded and he went away after saying good night.
"Miss dada." I looked at my son and gave a sigh. "I miss daddy too."
I went upstairs with Thom to wash him and bring him to bed, he yawned as I laid him in the cradle. I smiled at him and waggled him a bit until he's fast asleep. I walked to the window and looked at the quiet and dark street. I closed the curtain and went to the door. I turned the light off and closed the door.
I walked to my own bedroom to go to sleep.
