Deleted chapters
Hello, everyone, here's the next chapter to the alternative storyline of "Darkness Reborn". Not long to go now until the end now. Even though this alternative story was not that popular, I thank you all for reading up until this point. And I think this is the longest chapter I have ever written. In the meantime, enjoy the chapter.
Nexus looked down towards his remaining enemy and wanted nothing more than to end the blue macaw right now, but that would be too easy and he needed to save as much energy as possible in order to connect to the scroll faster.
Nexus chuckled as he turned back towards Vadin and gave him his orders. "Vadin, send it the privates."
Vadin was willing to do anything for his master, but he expected something better from someone who was so intelligent. He could not help but question him. "Um, Lord Nexus, not to be rude, but I doubt simple foot soldiers can take him down."
"I know." Nexus agreed, as he folded his wings together and stared upon his enemy. "I want them to tire him down first."
"Oh." Vadin nodded in agreement and raised an evil grin across his beak, now understand what he meant by this. He folded his wings together and called out to a dark macaw mage in the castle watch tower nearby. "Send in the foot soldiers!"
The dark macaw nodded in agreement and picked up one of the many horns inside and blew into it with all his breath, calling for reinforcements.
The castle entrance/exit opened and out game at least thirty dark macaws, all of them unarmed. They charged towards the blue macaw standing out in the open and surrounded him in a circle. They tried to be as patient as they could until they were given the order to attack.
Blu merely watched and folded his wings together. He knew Nexus would never face him on his own and had to send in soldiers to help him.
"Attack!" Nexus ordered in a loud tone, still with a grin across his face. He decided to stand there and enjoy the view from above with his generals above.
Every dark macaw present charged towards the lone blue macaw and cried out battle cries while doing so. All of them had the exact same target and did not hesitate to attack, willing to die in battle for their king.
Blu powered up his light beams and took out the closest dark macaws around him, but he did not bother to use his light powers on mere foot soldiers. He would just simply be wasting his energy on them. He decided to face off against them in combat.
Blu waited until a few dark macaws attempted to throw multiple hits towards him, but with his skills, he dodges each one and even mocked them along the way. He remained still and dodged each of their attacks as the dark macaws continued to try and take him down. "Okay, my turn."
Blu grabbed onto two of their heads and slammed them into each other and then proceeded to take on the rest. He grabbed onto another dark macaw and with his enhanced strength, he picked him up over his head without much effort and threw him towards the rest of his comrades, knocking some of the down in the process.
One by one, every dark macaw tried to attack and take him down, but with them being the lowest rank in the dark macaw army and with Blu's powers and tactics, they were no match for him and were knocked down until they could no longer get back up.
After defeating almost all of them, Blu took a couple of pants to get his breath back as he turned his attention towards two familiar faces who both were not attacking him but were rather attacking each other.
The smart macaw and stupid macaw wrestled with one another while arguing as perusal. Not too long ago they were promoted to sergeants but due to them causing a spell that brought an alternative Blu, Jewel and Rico here, they had been demoted back to privates.
"I hit him first, end of!" the smart macaw argued, as he and his partner wrestled with each other.
"No, I did!" the stupid macaw snapped, acting like little children like they always do.
Blu merely frowned and made his way over towards the two morons who seemed to be unaware of his presence. He placed both of his wings behind the back of their heads and slammed them both into each other, knocking them out instantly.
From above, Nexus sighed and placed a wing to the front of his face. He always wondered why he bothered to keep them two around when all they did was mess up. "Oh, those morons are giving this army a bad reputation."
Nexus looked back up towards the dark macaw mage in the watch tower and personally gave him his orders. "Bring out the sergeants!"
The mage nodded as he used his powers to teleport the unconscious dark macaw privates elsewhere and proceeded to pick up another horn and summon more reinforcements.
Blu turned his attention towards the gate where more dark macaws appeared, now bigger in numbers than before and this time, they were armed with weapons like swords, combat staffs, and other types of various weapons. "Okay, here we go, Blu. You can do this."
"The World of Darkness is going to be your grave!" one of the dark macaw sergeants shouted, as he ran towards Blu as fast as he could with a sword raised in the air.
Blu grunted and waited until the dark macaw was in range until he dodged his attack and kicked the sword out of his wing and proceeded to kick him back. He prepared himself as more of the sergeants charged towards him at great speed.
Blu used every single tactic he had such as blocking, countering, striking, and even using their own weapons against them when he got the chance. He grunted as a dark macaw jumped onto his back and held his combat staff over his neck, but Blu soon threw him off.
"I can take you all on!" Blu yelled, showing no fear as he struck a few hits towards the closest dark macaws. He flew into the air for just a moment when they got a little too close for comfort and tricked them into running into each other.
Blu tried his best to hold every one of them off, but the sergeants were much stronger and greatly had the advantage with their numbers. He struck them back as he they got close, but eventually, he felt himself getting hit in certain places and could not block or counter them in time.
Nexus laughed from above as he watched his men knock Blu down onto his stomach before they all jumped down on him and pinned him down, delivering multiple hits to the blue macaw. "Hahaha! I told you he was not that tough. Men! Finish him!"
Blu held them off for a little while longer, but now he was stuck in a position where he could no longer hold them off and continued to take many hits from them. He grunted and tried to lean up, but they would not let him go and continued their attack.
As all hope was beginning to fall away from the blue macaw, he closed his eyes for a moment and quietly embraced the light inside of him, ignoring all the dark macaws attacking him. His eyes shot open and they now changed from their chocolate brown color into a golden light color.
Just when Nexus thought all this was over, his face changed from an amused one to an shocked and angry one when all of the dark macaws pinning Blu down had suddenly exploded into the air, landing down with a sickening thud. "WHAT!"
Blu combined his shockwave power with light essence and used it to blast them away. In the process, he powered himself up even more and was ready for action. The other dark macaws moved in to attack, but now they were no match for him.
Using his light powers and dash ability, Blu moved at incredible speeds and struck every last dark macaw down that got in his way, even knocking a couple of them out in the process with only one hit. He was too quick to catch and too strong to counter.
Blu continued repeating the same tactic for a moment or two until every last dark macaw sergeant was down and unable to continue the battle. He froze in the middle of the area and calmly powered himself down back to his normal power state. He called out to Nexus in the distance, hoping he would just face him already. "Is this all you can do, Nexus?! Face me you coward!"
Nexus growled in response, now getting extremely angry whenever someone called him a coward. He wanted nothing more than to pull Blu's head off from his body with his own strength, but he needed to wait until he was ready to read the scroll. He turned towards the mage once again and yelled. "Send in the lieutenants, captains and the ninjas!"
The mage nodded yet again and preceded to teleport the fallen soldiers away before summoning more reinforcements. He blew into another horn and waited until they arrived.
The entrance/exit to the castle opened and more dark macaws arrived. The dark macaw captains are wearing black armor across their entire bodies and were armed with medieval spears. The dark macaw lieutenants looked the same as other dark macaws, except they were a little bigger and they had an enforcer with them.
The ninjas had their own rank and could not be promoted or demoted. They wore grey ninja robes all across their bodies except for their eyes and talons. And lastly, a familiar huge dark macaw joined in and stood behind the rest of the dark macaws. It was no other than Mr. Kirilenko.
The dark macaw captains and Kirilenko held their position in front of the castle. The lieutenants all stood together at Blu's right, and the ninjas all stood together on Blu's left, standing in their combat positions. They all surrounded him at least one hundred to one and were now waiting for the word to attack.
Nexus was certain that Blu would not be able to take them all down. He was sure that Blu would eventually get tired and that would be the time for the dark macaws to take him down once and for all. He chuckled and spoke calmly to his people. "Lieutenants...Ninjas...Attack..."
The lieutenants and the ninjas charged towards the blue macaw with their weapons raised in the air. But Kirilenko and the captains held their positions when they noticed Nexus had not gave them an order to move in. For now, they merely watched and hoped to see their enemy down soon.
Blu used his light powers to easily disposed most of the lieutenants but now he had to deal with the ninjas. He swiftly turned around and fired light beams towards the ninjas, who jumped towards him and used their skills to dodge each of his attacks.
Blu knew he could not rely on his powers to take them down and would have to wait until they were close. He panicked slightly when he just about managed to dodge a directly kick from a ninja. He remained still as three ninjas stood around him and threw multiple hits, but he dodged each one. "Whoa, wow. Hey you guys are good? Do any of you know the triple kick?"
Before any of them could respond, Blu leaped into the air with his talon raised and kicked the three ninjas around him. He landed back down, but he frowned when the ninjas leaped back onto their talons, not willing to give up yet.
A single ninja performed front flips as he made his way towards Blu. He landed in front of the blue macaw and threw multiple hits towards him, but he dodged each one before grabbing his wing and kicking him away.
Blu lifted his wing up and caught another ninja's talon when he tried to kick Blu from behind. He swiftly turned around, lifting the ninja into the air and kicked him directly in the back.
A third ninja leaped into the air and attempted to fly kick Blu while he was not longer. Blu grabbed his talon just in the nick of time before he threw him into the air so far that he hit the dark essence shield surrounding the castle, followed by hitting the ground with a sickening thud.
Blu turned away for a moment and panicked when the enforcer dark macaw charged directly towards him. He leaped out of the way just in time when the enforcer almost got him. He quickly jumped over to the enforcer and struck him twice in the stomach.
The enforcer felt pain from Blu's enhanced strength, but he was not willing to give up just yet. He spread his wings out and grabbed Blu in a hold, pulling as close to him as he could in an attempt to crush his body or stop him from breathing. "Got you now!"
Blu groaned when he felt his body feeling the great pain, but he was not going to give up like that. He lifted his wings and slapped them against the enforcer's eardrums, causing him to let go and hold his ears. He quickly took his chance and kicked the enforcer back.
"Oh, you've had it now, son." the enforcer told him in a British accent. He charged towards Blu as fast as he could with his wing raised into a fist, but the blue macaw dodged his attacks.
Blu leaped forward towards the enforcer and delivered multiple strikes to different parts of his body. He continued doing so until the enforcer had taken at least twenty hits. He jumped up and kicked the enforcer in the face, performing a backflip while doing so.
He landed down onto his talons and was about to continue his attack, but he froze when the enforcer stood there, slowly moving his head around until he suddenly collapsed onto his back. He turned around and faced the captains with the remaining ninjas and lieutenant. "Who's next?"
"Get him!" one of the dark macaw captains ordered his spear raised in the air.
Every last remaining dark macaw present attacked Blu with all of their strength. Blu used his skills to easily defeat the ninjas and lieutenants before turning his attention towards the captains. He knew they were going to be a little tougher to beat since they had armor on.
Blu attempted to use his light beams on a captain, but it did not affect that left him confused. "Huh?"
"Ha-ha!" the dark macaw captain laughed at his pathetic attempts. "Our armor is too strong for your light attacks."
Blu had to admit that he had a good point there, but that would not stop him from trying. He jumped back as he captain almost impaled him with his spear but he dodged and kicked him back. Another captain tried to stab him too, but Blu grabbed his own weapon and used it to whack him away.
His attacks were not going much to them. If only he could get rid of that armor of theirs than he may have the advantage.
Blu taunted the captains and waved his wings back, beckoning for them to try and get him. "Come on! What are you waiting for? Scared I'll kick your butts."
The dark macaw captains hated being taunted and did not hesitate to attack him. They all gathered in a circle around Blu and charged towards him with their spears raised. As they got closer, Blu closed his eyes and waited until they were close before he suddenly vanished from plain sight.
The dark macaw captains were left confused and turned towards each other, hoping to find any sign of him. He was nowhere to be seen, where did he go? Before they could even blink, a single dark macaw captain was thrown into the air.
One by one, every dark macaw captain tried to find him, and even when he did reveal himself to attack, they did not have the advantage to attack him because they could not see him. Eventually, every last dark macaw captain was beaten and left lying unconscious. Nexus did not look happy one bit.
Blu took a couple of breaths to get his energy back before turning to the last enemy present. He remained still as the huge dark macaw marched towards him. He glared towards him and stood in a combat pose. "Let's finish this, Kirilenko."
Kirilenko growled silent under his breath as he and the blue macaw stared towards one another. He lifted his one wing in the air and was ready to finish him. "I will crush every bone in your body!"
With one slam, Kirilenko attempted to crush Blu with his giant wing but the blue macaw dodged. Kirilenko lifted his talon and attempted to stomp Blu.
Blu dodged and struck him a couple of times in his stomach, but even with his enhanced strength, it was going to take more than that to take down Kirilenko. The huge macaw lifted his wing and finally landed a hit on Blu, knocking him quite some distance away. "I will bury you!"
Blu was able to land on his talons and quickly recovered before Kirilenko could get to him. He watched as the huge dark macaw ran towards him and waited until he was close. He dodged Kirilenko's next attack and proceeded to strike him a few times.
"I will leave you smeared across this room!" Kirilenko groaned and attempted to hit Blu, but he constantly continued dodging. Eventually, Blu jumped up and rapidity kicked his talons against Kirilenko's chest as fast as he could, using his wings to keep himself balanced.
He landed back on his talons and leaped up into the air directly towards Kirilenko's face. Blu got up and with one more strike from his wing; he struck Kirilenko directly in the side of his face using all of his strength.
Kirilenko stumbled back a few steps before collapsing directly on his back.
Blu jumped over his unconscious body and glared towards Nexus, who looked extremely angry that his people had failed. "Enough hiding, Nexus, face me!"
Nexus was about to jump down, but until he was connected to the scroll, he had to conserve all of his energy. He turned back towards the mage in the watch story. "Summon...Everyone left!"
The mage used his powers to teleport the injured away, but before he could call for reinforcements, Blu had fired a light beam directly towards him to prevent him from calling more reinforcements.
Blu was unsure if he hit him or not, but either way, the mage was no longer present. He turned back towards Nexus with his wings spread, preparing to charge towards him. "It's over, Nexus!"
"No!" Nexus said, refusing to believe that. He had taken a couple of steps back before yelling out for his last reinforcements available. "ELITE GUARDS!"
The second he heard Nexus yell, Blu jumped into his combat position and watched carefully to his soundings. He jumped back when a cloud of smoke appeared for just a second in front of him. The smoke dispersed and standing a few feet away from Blu were all four of Nexus' elite guards.
All four of them looked exactly the same: glowing black feathers with mist of dark essence appearing from behind him, glowing red eyes like Nexus, grey talons and beak like the rest of the dark macaws, but theirs were darker. And to top it off they were around the same height as an average dark macaw was.
The only way to tell them apart was the weapons they carried. One of them carried a sword (the same one who injured Blu further), one of them carried a battle double axe, one of them carried two daggers, and the fourth one carried a medieval spear.
"Elite guards, finish him!" Nexus ordered, before he turned around and walked away back towards the entrance to his castle on the roof with Vadin and Kate following.
The four elite guards performed different tactics and skillful moves as they surrounded Blu in a circle and slowly walked around him like sharks. All four of them glared towards him before raising their weapons and charging directly towards Blu.
Blu had moved out of the way in the nick of time when all four elite guards attacked him at once. He had to be faster when they all worked as a team.
One by one, each elite guard attacked simultaneously, and Blu just about dodged each one. He could only dodge them for now and had no idea how he could attack them at the same time. These dark macaws were highly trained and he feared he was no match for them.
He wanted to use his powers, but to do that, he would need to power up that would take a mere two seconds, but with them all attack at once, he did not have the time to use his powers. Instead, all he could do was hold out.
As a couple of minutes had passed, Blu leaped up in the air and kicked the elite guard with the axe. Before he could continue his attacks however, the elite guard with the daggers leaped up and kicked him back down towards the ground.
Blu managed to land down onto his talons, but before he could even blink, the elite guards attacked. The elite guard with the daggers kicked him in the stomach, winding him for a moment. The elite guard with the axe struck him in the face, and then the elite guard with the spear shoved him down onto his stomach.
He attempted to get back up, but the elite guards all held a talon onto his back and kept him still against the wound. Blu looked up to see the elite guard with sword stood over him with his weapon raised in the air, preparing to finish him.
Blu groaned and attempted to power up his light powers fast, but the elite guards stomped on him, knocking his concentration away. There was nothing more he could do. He simply could not take all four of them on at once. He was hopeless. He failed to keep his promise to the Angelus and now he would die.
He may have lost the battle against Nexus, but at least he managed to thin down the dark macaw army. Preparing for the end, Blu closed his eyes tight and now waited for his end.
The elite guard prepared to decapitate his head and swiftly lowered his weapon for the killing blow. As his weapon got halfway towards Blu's, the sound of a lightning bolt had erupted throughout the air.
A single lightning bolt had appeared out of nowhere and blasted the elite guard with the sword a good ten-feet away. He dropped his weapon and lied with his back flat against the ground, either dead or merely unconscious.
Blu took his chance now that the elite guards were distracted and quickly rolled away when they took their talons off of their backs. He jumped up and put some distance between them while charging up his wings.
Blu turned towards his left and smiled when he met his savior. "Sigma!"
"Looks like I got inside just in time." Sigma agreed, as he stood next to Blu and prepared to take on the three remaining elite guards. "So what did I miss?"
"Nexus is inside and these elite guards are all that stand between him and I." Blu explained, firing his beam towards the elite guards who dodged with all of their skills and proceeded towards him. "I need to get past them!"
"No problem." Sigma agreed, using his powers to create lightning bolts in his wings that he shot towards the elite guards, but they continued to move. He had an idea and they would have to move fast for it to work. "Blu, use your powers and concentrate. Work together. Let's go."
Blu nodded and powered up his wings, Sigma did the same, and then the two of them fired their light beams and lighting electricity towards the elite guards who charged towards them at rapid speed. If they concentrated, they may be able to hit one of them.
The elite guards performed martial-art skills and evaded to the sides to avoid being hit and were getting quite close. However, one of them did not make it all the way. The elite guard with the spear had been hit by a light beam and knocked a far distance back, leaving only two of them left.
"We got one!" Sigma cheered, but he could not yet celebrate until the remaining ones were defeated.
"Two down, two to go!" Blu reminded, raising his wings as he prepared to take them on in wing-to-wing combat. "Come on, let's go!"
Blu and Sigma charged towards the remaining elite guards and engaged them in combat. Blu handled the one with the daggers while Sigma engaged with the one with the axe. Now there were two of them, they had a good chance of defeating the remaining elite guards.
The two of them put up a good defense against the elite guards, but they had the advantage due to their weapons. And another advantage they had was their different skills. The elite guard with the daggers was fast while the elite guard with the axe was strong.
Blu attempted to strike the elite guard a few times, but he kept dodging. He jumped back when the elite guard attempted to stab him with his daggers. He was strong with his enhanced strength, but not quick enough to take him down.
Nearby, Sigma threw a couple of strikes towards the elite guard and managed to strike him a couple of times, but he had to move back when the elite guard tried to kill him. He was not that strong and was use to using speed to his advantage instead of strength.
"How's it going on your end, Sigma?" Blu inquired, while dodging the swipes from the elite guard. He managed to block one of his wings using his own and shoved him back.
"Not too good." Sigma admitted, ducking down just in the nick of time when the elite guard swerved his axe towards him. "This guy's a little too strong for me."
"And this guy's a little too quick for me." Blu replied, but after saying his own words, he had an idea on his mind. He knew this was no time to be nerdy, but it may just save both of their lives. "You know, I'm usually better with strength than speed."
"And I'm usually better with speed than strength." Sigma agreed, now understanding where he was going with this. He jumped back and approached Blu who did the same as him. "Want to switch?"
"I'm good with that." Blu agreed, kicking the elite guard back before quickly moving back a few steps.
The two of them moved back until their backs were pressed before quickly spinning around together and switching targets with each other. Blu now fought against the elite guard with the axe while Sigma fought against the elite guard with the daggers.
After a good few minutes had passed, Blu and Sigma were now doing better against the elite guards, managing to even land a few hits against them. But the elite guards were not going to give up that easily and continued to hold their own against their enemies.
Finally having enough of these elite guards and needing to stop Nexus as soon as possible, Blu used his dash ability to confuse the elite guard, even know he knew he had to save as much energy as possible when it came to facing Nexus.
Blu continued doing so for a moment while dodging the elite guard's axe. He grabbed onto the elite guard's axe and snatched it out of his wings, now wielding it as his own weapon. He jumped back and threw the axe towards the elite guard with the daggers, who was too busy dealing with Sigma.
Sigma kicked the elite guard back and ducked when he saw Blu's plan. The elite guard's eyes widened at the weapon, but he did not have the chance to move and the spinning axe was struck into the center of his chest, killing him once and for all.
Sigma panted a couple of times, as he turned back towards Blu to thank him, but instead, he warned him. "Look out!"
The elite guard who was no unarmed without his axe charged towards Blu with a dark essence grenade in his wing, willing to sacrifice himself if it meant protective Nexus.
Quick as a flash, Sigma picked up one of the other elite guard's daggers and threw it like a dart towards the other one. The dagger hit him directly in his stomach, causing him to halt in his tracks. He collapsed down onto his back before the grenade had exploded, sending his body flying through the air.
With both of them dead, Blu and Sigma took a break and quietly took a couple of breaths. They did it; they defeated Nexus' elite guards using teamwork. Now only one enemy remained and that was for Blu to face on his own.
"Sigma, I nee-" Blu was cut off when he heard the sounds of footsteps and jumped out of the way, but not in time. He felt sudden pain hit him in the shoulder that caused him to collapse back. "AHH!"
The elite guard with the spear had recovered and stabbed his spear into Blu's shoulder. He kicked him back and prepared to deliver to finishing strike.
"Blu!" Sigma yelled, immediately grabbing the first weapon he could find which was one of the elite guard's other dagger. He picked it up and quickly charged towards the elite guard. He jumped onto his back and stabbed the dagger into his back.
The elite guard groaned and dropped his weapon, but he could not place his wings onto his back. Sigma grabbed his spear and impaled it through his stomach, finally ending him for good. NOW the elite guards were defeated.
Sigma quickly helped Blu up and was relieved to see his injury was not as bad as he thought. "Blu, you're injured."
"I'm all right." Blu assured, grateful that he had his powers that eased the pain. He shrugged it off like it was nothing before getting back to the subject at hand. "I have to stop Nexus. I need you to stay out here and guard the castle."
"Are you sure?" Sigma asked, not liking the fact that Blu would have to take on Nexus by himself.
"I'm sure. Only I can stop him." Blu explained, before shifting his attention towards the entrance/exit to the castle.
"Good luck, Blu." Sigma wished him the best of luck, giving him a pat on the back for support.
Blu gave him a slight smile before making his way back to the castle. He flew towards it at great speed and combined his light essence and shockwave power to blow the doors open. He charged inside with his wings raised and powered up, preparing to finish this once and for all.
Next chapter is the final battle between light and dark. Blu has faced off against every type of dark macaw, defeated the elite guards, and now it is time for him to bring down Nexus. Stay tuned for the next chapter.
