Greetings, everyone, and here I bring you the next alternative story chapter. I don't have much to say in this author's note for today. Apart from that, enjoy the chapter.
Now inside Nexus's castle, Blu practically blasted open in door he came across. There were some guards along the way, but Blu easily defeated them and now proceeded to the throne room where Nexus was more than likely to be.
He ran as fast as his talons could carry him, not stopping for anything. His powers gave him enhanced speed and endurance, allowing him to move faster and longer than usual for a long period of time. He would need to conserve his powers for now.
Finally, after roaming through the hallways of the castle like a rat in a maze, Blu finally made it to the throne room and guarding it were two very familiar faces. Vadin and Kate stood guard just outside of Nexus's throne room.
"Well, well, if it isn't Blu." Vadin chuckled, while folding his wings together. He grinned and merely watched as Blu stood there. "Your journey ends here, my blue macaw friend."
Before he knew it, Vadin whistled and out of nowhere, his Brotherhood member had appeared, armed with their usual weapons. Blu was in no mood to take them all on and needed to get to Nexus fast. He lifted his wings up and slammed them into the ground, using his shockwave power to knock them away.
Vadin was extremely annoyed that his Brotherhood members could have been defeated so easily. He growled and as usual, he had to do his own dirty work. He curled his wings into fists and charged towards Blu with his dash ability.
Blu used his own dash ability to dodge his attack before countering him with his own. He grabbed Vadin's wing into a wing lock and struck him three times in the stomach before delivering one final strike directly to the side of his face, knowing him unconscious. It certainly was a lot faster than last time.
Now that he was dealt with, Blu pushed him to the ground before angrily marching towards the throne room doors. Kate was nearby, but she had no intention of trying to stand up against him, especially with her lack of skill. Instead, she simply moved out of his way with her wings raised in the air.
The second Blu got to the throne room doors; he kicked them up with his enhanced strength and marched into the huge throne room. He slammed the doors shut behind him and kept his attention focused his attention towards his enemy, who he was going to bring down once and for all.
"Nexus!" Blu yelled, powering up his wings while making his way towards the evil dark hawk-macaw.
Nexus was using his powers to slowly connect himself to the scroll and had to concentrate. However, his concentration was interrupted when he heard a loud familiar yell. He was forced to pause his concentration on the scroll and had to deal with his enemy first.
"Impossible!" Nexus yelled, marching down away from his throne towards the blue macaw. He was certain his elite guards were more than enough to bring him down. "No-one has ever defeated my elite guards!"
"Nothing is impossible, Nexus." Blu told him, powering up his right wing more than his left wing in an attempt to surprise attack him. He glared towards him with a determined look across his face. "You have nowhere left to go, no-one left to send at me. It's just me and you. Now face me!"
Nexus merely chuckled in response as he rubbed two of his wingtips together. He was not afraid of this lone blue macaw and his threats meant nothing to him. "You make me laugh, macaw. You are way out of my league. I think I will break both of your talons a second time, and this time, break both of your wings while doing so."
"I've beaten you once, Nexus, I'll do it again!" Blu warned, trying his best to contain his anger, especially after the Angelus taught him not to give into his hatred.
"The day you beaten me, I was a mere leader. And you were lucky." Nexus countered, placing his wings to his sides as he began to walk up and down in his throne room. "Now I am a Lord, and when I access the scroll, I will become truly immortal. I will not be defeated. I will lead my army to your pathetic jungle and destroy it with my bare wings. Your friends and loved ones will die. And I think I'll keep your precious wife as a trophy for my victory."
Blu had the last straw after Nexus talked about his wife like that. He yelled out in anger and fired one of his light beams directly towards him. Nexus merely stood there and took his injuries like it merely tickled him, but after a few seconds, it was beginning to burn. He blocked it using his wing and threw a dark essence fireball towards him.
Blu dodged his attack and stood in his combat position. He clutched his wings into fists and was ready to end this once and for all. He charged towards Nexus and great speed, ready to end this once and for all.
Nexus could see there was no avoiding it now and he had no idea where Vadin or Kate was. He clutched his wings tightly and marched towards the charging blue macaw. "Very well. Let us finish this!"
Meanwhile, back on the outside of Nexus' castle, Sigma the gold and blue macaw stood outside the castle with his wings folded together, keeping watch for any reinforcements. He shifted his attention towards his left when a portal had opened and out cam four of the Angelus's personal guards.
"Sir, we've been sent to help." one of the Angelus's personal guards said, as he and his allies stomped their talons onto the ground and saluted him in respect.
"How's the Angelus?" Sigma inquired, obviously worried for her safety after witnessing what had happened.
"She's okay." one of the personal guards assured, followed by a sigh of relief. "Our best medics got her in light essence. She's in stable condition, but it will be a while until she wakes up. We were sent by Drako to help, but it looks like the situation is being handled."
The other personal guards studied their surroundings and noticed multiple scattered weapons across the ground, followed by three of Nexus' elite guards lying motionlessly across the ground. The main battle was outside, but their orders were to defend the castle.
"Not exactly." Sigma replied, gesturing his wing towards the castle while he began to explain the situation. "Blu is engaging Nexus as we speak, but even if we help, none of us are match for his power. Only Blu can stop him. The best thing we can do is defend this castle from reinforcements."
"I agree." another personal guard agreed, before shifting his attention towards the roof of the castle where he noticed a watchtower with a burned mark spread across the wall, but it looked like it could be useful. "Sir, we could use that watchtower to our advantage."
"Good idea." Sigma agreed, nodding his head towards the watchtower. "You go on ahead. We'll hold the entrance here."
The personal guard nodded in agreement and placed his weapon onto his back before flying up towards the castle roof. He landed down onto the roof before going into the actual watchtower and decided to look around for any dark macaws present that may be lurking around the area.
After a moment or two of searching, the personal guard did not find any trouble and began walking his way towards the watchtower. However, despite his high training, he was completely unaware of a figure standing a mere three feet behind him.
Down below, one of the personal guards looked into the distance and his eyes widened slightly when part of the dark essence shield had open a hole, allowing multiple dark macaws to run inside. They were only privates, but despite their low rank, their numbers made up for that.
"Sir, we got company!" one of the personal guards warned, pointing his wingtip towards the advancing dark macaws.
Sigma spread out his wings and flew up into the air slightly, looking into the distance where he saw the reinforcements. He was about to issue their orders, but the sound of someone groaning loudly in agony before going completely silent that had caught his attention.
He flew up higher towards the roof and his eyes widened slightly when he saw a familiar face. One of Nexus' elite guards had just impaled his sword directly through the Angelus's personal guard's stomachs before throwing him down onto the ground. The elite guard picked up the guard's sword and snapped it in half with his own strength, dropping the two pieces to the ground.
Sigma had to act fast before those reinforcements arrived. He quickly turned his attention to the remaining three personal guards and gave them their orders. "You all take care of those foot soldiers." he turned back around and glared towards the elite guard with his eyes half-closed. "He's mine."
The personal guard nodded in agreement, as he and his allies raised their swords and stood in a defensive position. Now it was time to put full use of every skill and technique they knew. The dark macaws were now close, armed with spears.
"Let's go." one the personal guards ordered.
One by one, the three of them began to hold back the dark macaws, using their weapons to their advantage. The dark macaws attempted to impale them and stab them multiple times, but the personal guards were much faster and used their skills to kill the dark macaws that got close.
One of the personal guards stabbed his sword into a dark macaw before he suddenly caught a spear that would have hit his back. Another personal guard killed that dark macaw who tried to stab him and the three worked together as a team to hold them back.
They finished off the first wave and waited for the remaining dark macaws to attack. Using the dark macaw's own weapons, the personal guards picked them up and threw them towards the charging dark macaws, hitting a couple of them along the way.
While the guards were preventing any more reinforcements, Sigma jumped onto the roof and raised his wings in a combat position, but there was no sign of the elite guard anywhere. He approached near the dead personal guard and checked if he was alive, but unfortunately, he was gone.
As Sigma was deep in fought, his eyes widened when he heard footsteps directly behind him. He ducked down just in the nick of time when the elite guard almost stabbed him with his sword, but unfortunately for him, he missed and ended up stabbing his powerful weapon into the wall.
Quick as a flash, Sigma kicked the elite guard back before he rolled out of the way. He quickly fired sparks of lighting towards the elite guards since he did not have enough time to fully charge his powers up to attack him.
The small sparks of lighting merely annoyed the elite guard and he continued marching towards Sigma, armed with his sword. Sigma was forced to stop firing his sparks and quickly moved out of the way when the elite guard attempted to attack him with his sword.
The elite guard swerved his sword twice, but Sigma was quick and was able to dodge his attacks. After a third serve, Sigma lunged forward and tackled the elite guard to the ground, pinning him down. He grabbed onto the elite guards wing and bit as hard as he could, causing him to let go of his weapon.
The elite guard, however, was not down yet. He grabbed onto Sigma's neck and pulled him away before curling his free wing and striking Sigma directly in the stomach, almost winding him in the process.
Sigma stood up and held his wing to his stomach as the elite guard got up at the same time. He quickly turned around and struck the elite guard across the face, but due to his enhanced strength, it did not do much effect that left him worried. "Uh, oh."
The elite guard glared towards him before striking Sigma once across the face, followed by a kick to the stomach. He lifted his talon and grabbed Sigma's neck before lifting him into the air and throwing him across the roof, causing him to hit the wall of the watchtower.
"You and your light macaws are weak and will be defeated in a matter of days." the elite guard told him, kneeling down and picking up his sword that glowed when it touched his wing. He began to march towards the defenseless gold and blue macaw. "You are a mere play toy for us. Lord Nexus will kill you all."
Sigma groaned in response as he used his wings to push himself back up, but he stopped when something caught the corner of his eye. He noticed the broken personal guard's sword nearby that gave him an idea. He raised a grin and leaned up. "And yet we handled those other elite guards easily. Why don't you look me in the eye and say that?"
The elite guard only groaned in response as he marched towards Sigma and stood over him. "If you insist."
The elite guard grabbed Sigma's neck in the grip of his talon and lifted him into the air, holding his face a couple of inches from his own. He stared into his eyes and raised a grin across his beak. "My sword will be the last thing your eyes will ever see."
Sigma groaned while looking into the elite guards fearsome red eyes, but at the same time, he stretched his talon down as much as he could, desperately trying to grab onto the broken sword, but he could not reach it. He did not give up, nevertheless.
The elite guard pulled his sword back and prepared to go in for the killing blow. Sigma leaned his right talon down one more time and finally grabbed onto the broken top half of the sword. Quick as a flash before he met his end, Sigma lifted the broken sword up and stabbed it directly in the elite guard's neck.
The elite guard groaned in agony and held his wing against his neck, dropping his neck while doing so. He gripped onto the broken sword and attempted to pull it out with his strength.
Although he was pretty much dead anyway, Sigma got up and grabbed onto the elite guard's sword, not effecting by its dark essence powers. He yelled out and stabbed the elite guard directly through the center of his stomach with his own sword, finally putting an end to Nexus's elite guard squadron.
Sigma panted before turning his attention over towards the bottom of the castle where the personal guards had just finished off the dark macaws once and for all. With the elite guard and all of the dark macaws dead, all they could do now was wait and hope Blu was successful.
Back in the throne room, Blu groaned as Nexus struck him in the stomach before throwing him all the way over to the other side of the throne room with his incredible strength. He landed against the wall with a sickening thud, followed by hitting the ground.
"You have nothing to stop me with!" Nexus shouted, marching over towards the blue macaw with his wings to his side. "You cannot defeat me."
Blu only yelled out in response and dashed towards Nexus, quickly delivering two strikes towards his stomach, but when he went for a third hit, Nexus blocked and kicked him in the stomach.
Nexus grabbed Blu's throat in his talon and lifted him up into the air without much effort. He began to crush Blu's throat with his own strength, preparing to end this once and for all. "You are a weak coward, Blu, and I will have the pleasure of killing you with my own strength."
Blu was practically on the verge of the death, but he was not going to give up like that. He grabbed his wings onto his Nexus' talon and began to use his light essence to burn his talon, hoping it would be enough to make him let go.
Nexus felt the great pain on his talon and was forced to let go of Blu, but his talon healed in a matter of second with his healing ability. He created two dark essence fireballs and threw them both towards Blu.
Blu dodged each one and leaped towards Nexus, tackling the evil hawk down in the process. He pinned himself on top of him and began to unleash his anger at him. "You killed my parents! You killed Rico! You hurt my family and friends! I won't let you hurt anyone again!"
Nexus had been hit at least ten times, but he blocked Blu's next attacked and used his strength against him. He pushed Blu so powerful that it knocked him up to the ceiling, but Blu was able to use his wings to slow himself down to safety.
Blu quickly recovered and was about to strike a few more attacks to his greatest enemy, but instead, he froze in his steps and gasped when he could see there was not one, but at least twenty other Nexus' around the entire area. "What the-?"
"HAHAHAHAhAHA!" all of the Nexus' chuckled, moving in towards Blu, surrounding him an entire circle. Blu only watch in confusion for a moment until he remembered what happened during the battle with King Lenny.
"I know what you're doing, Nexus!" Blu shouted, charging up his beams as he prepared to attack the many illusions of Nexus. "You're using sorcery to trick me, trying to influence my mind! I know only one of them is real!"
"But which one?" all of the Nexus spoke at once before laughing.
Blu fired his light beams and held the many illusions of Nexus back, using his skills and powers to his advantage, but no matter what he did, more of them just kept appearing from out of nowhere like an a never ending battle.
The real Nexus appeared and knocked Blu to the ground before blending back into the illusions. All of them laughed as they all fired dark beams towards him, knowing him down flat on his stomach.
Blu grunted as he attempted to push himself up with his wings, but dark essence shot into his body by the many illusions of Nexus, but despite this, he knew only one of them was real, but the question of which one it was a puzzle he could not figure out.
As the blue macaw groaned in agonizing pain, he heard Nexus speaking to him in an echoing voice, obviously to confuse him further so he could not tell who the real one was. The real Nexus mocked him as they all continued to put more power on him that he could not handle any longer. "You are pathetic, Blu. Tell me, are you looking forward to seeing your parents again? Tell them I said, "Hello"."
Blu was now growing even angrier; despite the unbearable pain he was feeling right now. Nobody and he meant NOBODY talks about his parents like that. "Don't you dare talk about my parents like that! You killed them and I will make you pay for that!"
"Oh, I'm sorry." Nexus sarcastically apologized. "It's not my fault they died. I remember the day I came and finished off your kind. Your father begged for mercy as I choked him to death in my talon."
"That's not true!" Blu yelled, knowing that what Nexus had claimed was all a lie. "I may not have got the chance to meet them, but my father was a strong noble macaw. Stronger than you could ever be!"
"Don't be so sure." Nexus countered, looking his greatest enemy directly in his eyes, preparing to end him once and for all. "I also remember your mother. Very pretty thing. Such a shame one of my men killed her before I could. I sure would have loved to have the pleasure of killing her myself."
Nexus extended out the Darkness serpent heads and demon arms from his back, and used him to restrain Blu.
He tied both the demon arms around Blu's body, keeping his wings held to his sides while he lifted him up into the air. Nexus smirked as he held his serpent heads back for now while he tightened his grip around Blu. "You have lost, Blu. Even with your many talents and those pathetic tattoo's, you are no match for me. You and your pathetic friends."
Blu groaned as he felt the demon arms tighten around his entire body. He struggled nevertheless as he struggled to get his wings free. "Let me go!"
Nexus chuckled in response as he moved Blu closed towards him before grabbing his throat in his strong talon, preparing to choke his enemy to death. "And who are you to tell me what to do? You are in no position to make demands."
"You're a coward, Nexus!" Blu yelled, trying to drain out the sound of the illusions of Nexus who were laughing. "You really think you're going to win this?"
"I don't think, I know." Nexus replied, tightening his grip a little on his talon and demon arms, causing the blue macaw to groan out in pain as he squirmed. He dropped him onto the ground and once again, blended back into the illusions.
The many illusions of Nexus laughed at Blu and mocked him, all standing in a circle around him.
"Stop it! Stop it!" Blu demanded, but either they couldn't hear him or were not listening. He tried to block out their voices, placing his wings to his ears while closing his eyes as tight as he could. "Stop it!...Stop it!"
All the Nexus continued laughing at him, causing Blu to groan in agony. All of them spoke together as one. "Pathetic, weak macaw!"
"Stop it! Stop!" Blu demanded, still trying to drain them. He closed his eyes and began to feel his anger inside was beginning to fill up his light essence power, making him stronger than before.
He opened his eyes that had now turned into a golden color yet again and his blue feathers were brighter and glowed. His tattoos were glowing more than before. His anger had given him strength and now he would use this to defeat Nexus once and for all.
"STOP IT!" Blu screamed out as loud as he could, finally losing his breaking point yet again as he let the evil words of Nexus finally get to him. He lifted his wings out and slammed them to the ground, using his light essence and shock wave power to blast all of the illusions away.
The many illusions of Nexus disappeared, except for the real one, who groaned and landed directly on his back. "Oomph!"
Nexus used his wings to push himself back onto his talons, but for once in his life, he was completely unexpected when Blu came charging towards him at great speed. He raised his wings and prepared to defend himself, but before he knew it, he was knocked back. "Ow!"
Now more powerful than ever, Blu curled his wings into fists and struck Nexus multiple times across different parts of his body before blasting him away with his light beams. However, he was not done yet and was not willing to let Nexus recover.
As Nexus landed down onto his back, his feathers steaming from the light essence, Blu approached him and used his enhanced strength to force Nexus onto his talons before continuing his furious attack. Nexus swung his wings a couple of times in an attempt to hit Blu, but he missed before getting stricken himself.
Blu yelled as he grabbed Nexus and shoved him near the center of the throne room. He struck Nexus directly in his face before slapping his ears against his ears, temporary causing him to go deaf for a moment.
Using his light to his advantage, he stunned Nexus three times by flashing his light essence in his eyes. It left Nexus stunned, and off balance
Curling his wings like fists again, he began a series of quick, focused attacks, rapidly striking Nexus as fast as he could, hitting him multiple times in different parts of his body, but mainly focused on his face and body.
Blu continued doing this for at least twenty seconds, and had delivered at least fifty powerful blows to the evil hawk. He had to admit he was tired for the many blows he delivered, even despite his enhanced abilities, but he was not about to stop yet.
Delivering final blow to his face, Blu knocked Nexus directly down to the ground, panting as he watched the evil hawk collapsed straight down onto his stomach. He closed his eyes as he caught his breath back, finally knocking Nexus unconscious with his strength and abilities.
Blu kicked him twice to be sure he was not getting back up before he marched towards the throne chair where the scroll was floating in the air. He grabbed it into his wings and used his light essence to burn it into ashes, preventing Nexus from using it ever again.
He was startled slightly when some kind of dark spirits had appeared out of nowhere, possibly Nexus's ancestors. All of them flew around the throne room for a moment before flying through the walls. Finally, they were free and in peace.
After they were gone, Blu shifted his attention towards Nexus who lied in the center of his throne unconscious. He knew Nexus was not dead and only simply knocked him down. He had to do something before he woke up.
Without thinking, Blu picked Nexus up in his wings and proceeded towards the exit of the castle as quick as he could, but with Nexus weight, he was hard to carry. Nevertheless, that did not stop him. He had to put Nexus somewhere where he could not be a danger to anyone ever again.
The battle between light and dark is over and Nexus has been defeated, but not killed. What will they do with him now? Stay tuned for the next alternative chapter to find out, ladies and gentlemen.
