Fletcher slammed to a halt, narrowly avoiding knocking over a purple-haired woman in a kimono.
"Have you seen this guy?" he asked, shoving the bounty poster in her face.
The woman in the kimono surprisingly was cooperative despite Fletcher almost going into her at full throttle.
" Of course I've seen that pirate. Not because I pay much attention to the men and women sailing with flags indicating their pirates but because I have seen them in my head." She pointed down the street Fletcher needed to go.
"Thanks!" he yelled over shoulder as he took off running again.

Christopher was right. Yokai did(italic) end up helping the thief escape.
The perverted monk was now chasing after the red-head and singing her praises. With a sigh, Christopher went back to buying supplies.

Dorobou stared at the giant blue fish. He had to have it.
A red haired woman walked by him. Cue a blond man with swirly eyebrows. He started spouting some love-struck nonsense at the redhead
Dorobou proceeded to ignore the ridiculous spectacle, going around the pair of lunatics to inspect the giant fish he'd seen. It was blue (as has been stated) and a trunk like that of an elephant.
What was a West Blue Elephant Tuna doing here, in Loguetown in the East(italic) Blue?
"How much?" Dorobou asked the merchant.
"It's not for sale. It;s the prize for the cooking contest." the merchant replied.

"Oof!"
"Look where you're going!"
The two young men glared at each other. After a moment, their eyes widened.
"I know you!" the one with brown hair said.
"I know you too!" the one with the straw hat replied.
Seeing Luffy again made Fletcher fall short of what action he should do next. Whether was running to didn't seem as important anymore.
For a long moment, they both stared at each other. Then-
"Fight me!" they both said at the same time.
This wasn't a fight to see who was better or a friendly match. When Fletcher and Luffy chose to be rivals they knew their battles would help them get stronger so no one else could have a chance of being King of the Pirates but them. But of course, a battle between rivals ought not to occur until the end of the journey, in front of important and credible witnesses, so the universe conspired to ensure that Fletcher and Luffy's fight did not reach a conclusion. In other words, they were interrupted before they could begin.
" I see you two and I can't help but wonder if you've seen my daughter."
The two teens paused to stare at the worried-looking woman.
"Nope!" The black-haired Luffy replied.
"What's she look like?" Fletcher asked.
At some stage during the ensuing conversation, Luffy ran off yelling about an execution platform. Fletcher vaguely recalled having accosted a young woman matching the daughter's description with a poster of Luffy, and the mother left, thanking him.

Meanwhile, Dorobou was watching a cooking contest.
From what Dorobou could tell, the only real competitors here were a blond and a flamboyant woman.
Fletcher decides he wants to leave the island and goes to look for his crew mates.
Sherry has gone shopping. While doing so, she works herself into a tizzy about how Christopher first greeted her, and how he hasn't apologized yet. She is attacked by a man wielding an electrical baton who has bells stuck in his elbows. She runs away and bumps into Fletcher. Her attacker thinks Fletcher is her boyfriend. Fletcher KO's the guy with a fist.
Everyone ends up back at the ship ready to leave. Sherry has a bruise or two from her fight. They leave Loguetown and approach Reverse Mountain while the sun is shining.
When they reach the Grand Line, they immediately set off for their next destination since Labbon isn't there to block them and they already have a log pose. The crew asks Sherry how she got the bruises, and she ends up telling them about how her father put a bounty on her head after she ran away because he was going to force her to marry someone she didn't like.
It was taking forever to get rid of the other contestants though. Dorobou sighed as he settled down to wait.

Sherry walked out of the tailor's, a bag of clothes on her arm. The seafaring life was wearing her current clothes down faster than she'd expected, so she'd needed to buy new ones. Dorobou had given her the money to buy them, with Christopher's reluctant approval.
What was that damn cook's problem with her anyway? Literally the first thing he'd said to her was that he would have killed her if he still worked for his father. Who does that?! And ever since she came aboard, he'd been giving her suspicious looks. It really made her just want to smack him!
Sherry was so caught up in her thinking that she walked into someone. She looked up, ready to apologize . . . and froze. The man grinned down at her, thumping a baton in his hands. She could hear bells jingling.
