Author's Note: Sigh, I did not do Lianne justice today...

Day Twenty-Eight: Gone by Lianne La Havas

"I just…I can't even look you in the eye anymore. How could you possibly do this to me, Toby? I gave you everything I had and…"

She trailed off. Betrayed didn't even begin to describe how she felt at the moment.

She rested her chin on her knees, which were up on the couch. Toby just stood silently behind her. He had no idea what to say.

"But you don't need to pretend it meant something to you when it didn't mean anything. Not to you, at least," she said hoarsely. "It meant everything to me," she admitted quietly.

It wasn't quietly enough, however, so he couldn't hear. He thought for as long as he'd been holding onto this secret that it would be easier just to lie. Clearly, the lie just grew bigger and bigger until…this was the outcome.

On the other side of the room, Spencer did nothing but blame herself. Of course, because that was what love did; it made you turn a blind eye to everything.

She began to wonder when love began to make a fool of her; when their relationship went from the two of them to the two of them and Mona, A, and whoever else was involved.

When she began to subconsciously make up excuses for every little indiscretion of his.

She bit her lip, pleading with herself not to cry. She couldn't cry. She especially couldn't cry in front of him.

But she couldn't pretend that she didn't care. She wasn't a liar like he was. Her lip quivered as she thought about it before she felt the tears wet her cheeks.

"Spencer—"

He was cut off by the sound of her quiet sobs. She shook her head, trying to keep herself from crying any more in front of him.

He sat down next to her. When this failed to stir any response from her, he tried to place a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Don't touch me!" she snapped viciously. She calmed down slightly, avoiding any eye contact with him still. "Don't touch me," she repeated more calmly. She shook her head as she tried to collect herself. "You're such a liar."

She knew that would hurt him more than any amount of tears. It was that one word which he despised so much, but she meant it to the core. Though her parents and sister lied to her repeatedly, it could never top this massive lie he had come up with.

"Spencer…I never meant to hurt you."

She scoffed. "It's funny; when a person says 'No offense,' the other person is usually still offended," she replied cryptically.

"I love you, Spencer."

There was immediately this sharp pain in her chest. She couldn't believe anything he said anymore. She didn't know what to believe and what to renounce.

She shook her head. "No…I can't trust you. I'm never going to get over this. You've tortured me and my best friends. How could I ever trust you again?" she asked before she got up and walked up the stairs.

She wanted to turn back and talk to him. Every muscle of her ached to go back.

But she couldn't do that to her heart and her pride. She knew he was already gone.

I followed the one-shot rules again!

Guest: I can tell you every single Marina-shot I will be doing in this whole collection. Ready? Here we go: I Am Not A Robot, Radioactive, Starring Role, E.V.O.L, Starstrukk (technically not Marina, but I'm doing her cover of this song), Lonely Hearts Club, Obsessions, The Common Cold, Horror Pop, Philosopher My Arse (still debating this one, but I think it would make a good angsty one-shot), Jealousy, Bad Kidz, Blindfold Me, Dirty Sheets, and Perfect-oh. Oh, and Perfect Stranger (also not her, but I love her cover of this song). Technically, 14 Marina songs, untechnically, 16. But they will be later on in the collection (because I just added a ton yesterday). The soonest Marina song will be I Am Not A Robot, which should come out in about a week/week and a half! That will be one-shot #30.

FabsirellaPrincessOfPopcornia: Thank you for liking/reading these one-shots and the theories on Tumblr! And also, thank you for the best wishes on the house competition! I really hope we win! And I really hope you liked this one-shot!

eveningshades1107: We can be Dance Moms buddies. We can have a moral support group (of two) after every Tuesday to discuss and weep over the girls (except for Maddie) and how Abby is harming their psyches. And by the way? I just referenced the third Spoby Dark Age (have fun digesting this one). The next one should be a little less angsty and heavy. Lianne has such a pretty voice. I totally did not do it justice (but I kind of tried to appease the writing gods. I liked the last two lines of this one-shot. They were my favorite).

Guest (IZZY):As flattering as that is, I can help you get hooked on some TV shows so you can kind of have something to do besides read my mediocre fanfictions. And I have a whole host of others to get you hooked on, too! No? No good? I tried.

So I really, really, really wanted to get this done before I have to go back to my mother's Wi-Fi-less house. And I'll try to finish the next one-shot for tomorrow (because I'm seriously procrastinating with homework).

Okay, the next one-shot is Stutter by Maroon 5 which I really, really like. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Okay, bye! -Kayson
