Halloween, fluff and smut (as requested). You've been warned

"Erin," Nadia's voice pulled the brunette away from her boring paperwork. She looked up and waited for her friend to elaborate. "Kelly is downstairs for you."

She tried to remember is they had said they would see each other before he left for shift the day before. Nothing particular caught her attention so she stood up and left the unit section.

She smiled as she climbed down the steps, seeing Severide leaning against Sarge Platt's desk.

"Thank god you're finally here," The older woman complained with a roll of the eye. "He just wouldn't leave me alone until he saw you."

Erin gave the sergeant a forced smile, quickly replacing it with a real and honest one as she turned to her fiancé. "Hi,"

He bent down and pressed his lips to the apple of her cheek, then held up the brown paper bag he had been holding in his hand. "Got time for lunch?"

"How sweet," Platt commented with a hand over her heart, and quickly looked away when Erin glared at her sarcasm.

"Yes, indeed," she said, snapping her eyes back to the firefighter. "Very sweet. Come on,"

She took his hand and led him back up the stairs, sliding her hand into the print machine to open the door. Severide was greeted warmly by everyone that was upstairs and had not gone on lunch break yet.

"Hey man," Ruzek called out, "There's a Halloween party tonight at Molly's, right?"

Severide nodded. He remembered Shay telling him about it a few days ago. "Yeah, starts at ten."

The cop clacked his tongue, "Awesome."

Erin led him to the break room and they started eating lunch. "Halloween party?" She asked, lifting an eyebrow.

Severide chuckled and swallowed his bite before speaking, "You wanna go?"

"Heck yeah!" she said enthusiastically. "I love Halloween. For a few years when I was little my mom was not too high to take me trick or treating."

Severide popped a fry into his mouth and chewed, "You wanna go trick or treating too?" He joked, and she hit his arm. "One day we'll both go with Severide Junior."

He winked at her and she smiled fondly, for the first time bearing the fact that they had lost a baby but that the future looked bright and they would get what they want someday.

Erin placed her chin onto her propped up hand and nodded, "That sounds very nice."

He had finished eating and had leaned back in his chair. "What are you going to dress up as?"

She gave him a playful wink, "You think I'm going to give it away just like that? You'll have to wait and see, mister."

He wiggled his eyebrows. "If you tell me yours, I'll tell you mine."

She scowled, "What are you, six?"

He advanced his bottom lip into a pout, "Come on."

She shook her head with a smirk, "Nope."

They were interrupted by Dawson popping in the doorway, "Lindsay, new case, let's go."

Erin snapped from girlfriend mode to detective mode in an instant, standing up quickly. That did not prevent her from leaning down and kissing Severide softly. "See you tonight. Think superhero."

She winked at him before leaving the room, and Severide was screwed. Now all he could think of was how sexy she was going to be.

Eight hours to go.

"Erin?" The fireman called out as he walked inside their home that night. He was usually home before her when he was not on shift, but that day he had had some errands to run. "You home?"

"I'm not ready yet!" she shouted from what he guessed was the bathroom, and he set down the grocery bags onto the counter, starting to unpack them. Then he went to the bedroom and changed into his costume. He wanted to do the unoriginal thing, which was wearing his uniform from the academy, but that was also what he wanted to wear on his wedding day.

The thing about Chicago was that it had already started to be freezing cold outside, so it also had to be a warm costume.

He quickly changed and had just finished the last touches when he looked up, catching Erin watching from the doorway.

"Well hello, Batman,"

He let out a laugh before snapping into character and nodding his head in acknowledgment, "Catwoman,"

"That was unexpected," She said, walking toward him in her tight lycra costume.

"I might have taken a wild guess as to who you would dress up as for a superhero. Lucky me you didn't go for Supergirl." He set his hands on her hips and pulled her against him, his hands roaming down her body. "Do we have to go?" He whined, looking her up and down.

Erin rolled her eyes, and wet her lips as she looked at him seductively. "Yes. The sooner we get there, the sooner we're back here."

She wiggled her eyebrows with that, and his eyes moved downwards to her reddened lips. He dipped down and kissed her hard, his teeth grazing her bottom lip as he pulled away.

"Let's go."

As they had expected, when they walked into Molly's, they were cheered on and called dorks because of their costume match, but neither of them really cared, because they were the hottest couple in the room.

The night had started out slow, with everyone from the CFD and CPD arriving one after another. Though they hadn't planned on staying too long, they found themselves, three hours later, downing shots with Shay, Burgess and Ruzek.

"To whom is this one?" Kelly asked as they each raised their shot.

"I don't know," Shay said, "Who cares!"

"To us, I guess!" Erin said loudly and downed her shot, quickly followed by the others. She lost her balance and Kelly quickly caught her around the waist, pulling her onto his lap. She cupped his neck and pulled him down to kiss him.

"Get a room!" They registered Shay's drunken voice but both chose to ignore it, deepening their kiss. They pulled away when air had become a problem, and Erin rubbed her nose against his lightly before turning back to her friends.

"Shay!" She shouted, looking scandalized, "No more shots?!"

The blonde seemed to snap back into focus, "I'm on it!"

Kelly leaned in and whispered into Erin's ear, "Wanna get out of here?"

She pulled back so she could look into his eyes, his blue orbs filled with desire. She nodded and winked at Shay over her shoulder as Severide pulled her to the door by the hand.

They stumbled into the bedroom, the costumes making it more difficult to undress. While Kelly was already down to his boxers, Erin still had her entire costume on -not that Kelly complained, she looked sexy as hell- and she pushed him down onto the bed before straddling his lap.

He placed both hands on her waist and inched them up until his fingers found the zipper of her costume. He slowly dragged it down while his lips did wonders on her neck, and Erin could not prevent a moan from escaping her lips.

As they were both a bit tipsy -well, that's an understatement, really-, getting Erin out of her one piece, tight costume took them more time than expected. She stood up to fully take it off, but almost lost her balance doing so, causing them to get into a fit of laughter. When she finally got it right without toppling on the floor and she stood there in a red lace matching underwear (the exact same color as her lipstick. Yes, he noticed), Severide grew more serious as his eyes racked over her body hungrily. Still sitting on the edge of the bed, he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her toward him.

"You're so beautiful," he murmured. Erin leaned in and captured his lips in a less aggressive way than before, and Kelly brought her down on top of him, his hands running over her perfect curves until they tangled into her hair.

"Kelly," she whispered, meeting his eyes. "I need you, now."

He smirked at her eagerness and rolled them over so he was on top. "Patience," he mumbled against her lips. His traveled down her neck, between the valley of her breasts, left kisses down her stomach until they reached the exact place where Erin wanted them to be.

Slowly he dragged her panties down her legs and worked his way back up, kissing her inner thigh, earning a hiss from the brunette.

"Kelly," She moaned out when his tongue worked the right spot and her hips lifted from the bed slightly, meeting his movements. She closed her eyes and threw her head back as she felt something pull in her stomach. Her hands closed around the sheets of the bed as she came undone, her orgasm ripping through her and leaving her on a high.

He placed soft kisses on her skin as he came back up, and kissed her gently. When she had regained her breathing, she lost no time in getting him rid of his boxers and they both exhaled a sigh of pleasure when he entered her.

"Fuck," he let out as he slowly moved, her hips meeting his every time. He picked up the rhythm when she told him to, his hand traveling down her right knee, hiking her leg up around his waist. She grabbed his face and kissed him roughly as she felt her second orgasm starting to hit.

"Kelly," she rasped out, and the way she said his name only helped him to be in the same place she was. He buried his face in her neck as she cried out, tightening around him, allowing him to find his release.

It took them a moment to get down from their high, as they tried to control their ragged breaths. Kelly rolled over and pulled the sheets higher to cover their bodies, then pulled her against him.

She looked up, "That was..."

He didn't need her to finish, "Amazing."

His finger running up and down her spine had a dozing effect on her and her eyelids slowly started to drop. She shuffled closer and draped one leg over his, before settling her head against his chest. He stayed awake for a little while, her even breathing the only sound in the room. His eyes soon fluttered closed, finally putting his mind at rest.

Erin woke up hours later, her head pounding and her throat aching from all the singing at Molly's the night before. She rubbed her eyes and found the other side of the bed empty. Frowning, she sat up and grimaced as the harsh morning light seeped into the room.

She didn't have to wonder long as to where Kelly was, because he came striding in holding a breakfast tray. He was shirtless, his pajamas pants hanging low on his hips, and her eyes were more focused on his body than on the delicious looking food on the tray.

She hiked a brow, "What did you do?"

He set the tray next to her and frowned, "What do you mean?"

"With most men a breakfast in bed means 'please don't be mad' or on birthdays, but it's not my birthday. So?"

He shook his head with a smile, "Well, you should know by now that I'm not 'most men'," He said, "And breakfast in bed can also happen during special occasions."

She frowned. Oh god, was it their anniversary and she had forgotten? "Special occasion?"

He retrieved a black velvet box from god knows where and Erin's eyes grew wide. Sure, she had been aware he would give it to her at some point but it did not stop her heart from racing in anticipation. "I know it's taken a long time but it's finally ready," he opened the box, revealing the round, sparkling diamond engagement ring inside.

Erin's breath caught in her throat and she felt tears prick in her eyes, causing her to wonder when she had become so emotional.

"I know you've already said yes, but I wouldn't mind hearing you saying it again. Erin Lindsay, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

She nodded several times, her voice stuck in her throat. "Yes, of course."

His fingers shook as he retrieved the ring from the box and slipped it onto her finger. He closed the gap between them and gave a kiss. "Do you like it?"

"It's perfect," She said, gazing down at the diamond on her finger. It was simple, discreet, yet beautiful. "Thank you."

He shook his head, "Thank you."

When Erin walked into work the next Monday, she had completely forgotten that she had her ring on. She had got used to wearing it over the weekend and it no longer felt like a foreign object on her finger. She walked to Sergeant Platt's desk to talk to Kim, who was having a banter with the older woman.

"Hey Burgess, Sarge," She acklowledged with a smile. "Anything for me?"

As she spoke, she unconsciously brushed a stray of hair from her forehead with her left hand and saw Platt's eyes grow wide before hearing a gasp from Burgess.

"Oh my god!" The young cop exclaimed. Erin followed Kim's gaze before understanding. "He proposed?!"

"Oh," she said, gazing at her hand. "He did."

Well, now it was official. Ruzek would know in a minute and everybody knew the guy couldn't keep his mouth shut.

Erin was pulled into a hug by her younger friend. "I'm so happy for you!"

The detective was offered congratulations from Platt and for once, she felt like her smile was genuine. When she got upstairs, she got the same response from everyone.

As she was congratulated by everyone, she caught sight of Voight, who was watching his team from his doorway, leaning against the frame with his arms crossed over his chest. She cocked her head to the side, silently asking for his opinion.

He gave her the best smile he could muster and winked at her before retreating into his office, closing the door behind him. Erin too smiled to herself, burying her hands into her pockets as she strode to her desk, wondering how life had got so damn good.

I hope you enjoyed, because there will be some drama in the next chapter. As always, I love hearing from you.
