People have spoken! No more drama!

Well to be honest I was planning to drag it a lot more but I noticed that you can't stand it anymore so I decided to reach a closure a lot sooner.

Thank you again so much! Your reviews and favorites and follows (100 yay!) made me very happy!

P.S. Excuse my reference to my country. Got sentimental a bit!

Chapter 12: Yes I do

The party was going on and everyone seemed to have fun; almost everyone. While Leslie was partying hard with her friends and family, Santana was sitting here and there with a few friends from work talking and avoiding her parent's and friends' morose faces. The Lopezes were forced to greet several family members from Leslie's side since they hadn't invited any of their own. Santana's friends were sitting on a table near the stage. They all had given up trying to sing since Leslie wouldn't let them. All except from Rachel; she would sneak on the stage and when the first notes reached Leslie's ears, they were chasing each other like the cat and the mouse. It would be extremely fan to watch it if they wanted to be amused. But they were deeply sad watching Santana sad dragging herself between tables greeting people with a fake smile and Leslie giving toasts every few seconds declaring her undying love to Santana. And they were sad watching Brittany beside them drinking heavily without having spoken a single word.

Leslie had now grabbed the phone after another attempt to stop Rachel from singing and was giving yet another speech. The Lopezes were looking indifferent, Santana beside them had a blank face and Rachel was storming out of the stage. She reached her table and yelled.

Rachel: She just won't let me sing. I want to sing.

Finn: Relax, Rachel.

Rachel: No! I want to sing!

Quinn: Give it up Rachel. It won't happen. It doesn't matter.

Rachel: No, it matters! I want to sing!

Kurt: What's the point, Rachel? Do you feel like celebrating for something? Santana is depressed like hell in her own wedding; Brittany is drowning herself to wine…

Brittany: 'M not.

Kurt: And we all feel kind of guilty we let things go that far. So? What do you have to celebrate?

Rachel: Really, Kurt? You better than anyone should remember that we've never sung just because we were happy. We just sing to express our feelings. I sing when I'm sad and when I'm happy. And now I want to sing because if I don't, I'm going to start crying like or I'll leave this damn place. I want to sing!

Brittany: (she stood up suddenly and took Rachel by her hand) Okay! Come on, we are singing!

Mercedes: Oh no…

Nobody saw Brittany storming on stage with Rachel following behind her. Leslie had the pleasure to notice her first while she was saying on the microphone something about how happy she is that she is a Lopez now. When their eyes met, Brittany let her glare show all the pain and the anger she felt for the first time since she met Leslie and Leslie just gulped and the words died at her mouth. Brittany came closer looking at her intensely in the eyes. She opened her free hand for Leslie to pass her the microphone without saying a word. Leslie stuttered a little and that made Santana look at the stage. What she saw made her to want to leave this place, this city, even this town immediately. All her mistakes, all her miserable life, all her feelings were at a display on a stage. She should have been used to it by now. Somehow her destiny is to be outted in public. And now the woman she married and the woman she loved were at a staring much on a stage ready to uncover her misery. She felt that she couldn't trust either of them. She looked at her parents. Their eyes were somehow lively for the first time this evening. They were staring at Brittany… proudly? She couldn't tell. She felt alone.

Leslie: (she was nervous) Uuummm ehhh my dear friends and family, these are Brittany Pierce and Rachel Berry; my Santana's best friends. They would like to share their blessings with all of you.

People clapped, Leslie handed the microphone and left the stage, Santana held her breath.

Brittany: Rach, do you wanna…?

She pointed the microphone to Rachel asking her if she wanted to say a few words. Rachel shook her head and smiled sweetly at her whispering;

Rachel: I just want to sing.

Brittany: Okay. (She took a deep breath and faced the crowd that now had stopped talking.) So… I'm Brittany… I'm Santana's best friend. You don't know me 'cause I'm never around but I managed to still be Santana's best friend. (Everyone was smiling except from Santana and their friends) So… I… I'm happy… I'm happy that I managed to be here tonight to this newest milestone for my homegirl over there. I… I…. you know I've been to every important moment in Santana's life. Good or bad. I was there to her first scolding from a teacher and to her first A in maths exam. I was there to her first dance lesson and to the first song she sang. I was there when… when she first… fell in love… (Santana was crying silently now without moving a muscle. The rest of the crowd was looking Brittany with gentle smiles. But Brittany was talking to Santana.) … and I was there when she was outted. I was there to her first solo on stage. I was there when she finished school and there when she got a scholarship. And I was always there when she was leaving. I was there to all her firsts… almost all her firsts (Santana dropped her head; she couldn't stand Brittany's eyes anymore) and to all her lasts. So I'm happy that I can be here tonight as well to… to wish her… (Santana looked at her again pleading her silently to not talk about happiness and forevers. But Brittany knew better than that.) …to wish her all the roads to be open for her to find what she is searching for. And (she took another deep breath and wiped a tear from her eyes) to promise her that I will always – always- be there to all her new firsts and all her lasts till the end. I'll be there, Santana. (Santana gulped and Leslie tightened her hold in Santana's hand) I'll be there when you'll become a mother for the first time to meet baby girl Brittany or little guy Pierce –cause you are totes naming your kids after me. (Everyone laughed at that, even Santana who nodded and cried even harder. And the Lopezes who were crying to smiled genuinely. Leslie froze but she faked a loud laugh for everyone to hear her). And I'll be there when you feel that the end is near and you are completely alone; I will be there even if I'm dead by then. (Santana shook her head and mouthed "don't". Brittany just smiled at her) So now. My friend Rach and I would like to sing a song for our homegirl. I've traveled a lot and I've visited many places around the world. In one of my travels, a summer a couple of years ago I ended up in Greece. Summer in Greece is like a godsend gift on earth. It's almost the most beautiful thing I've ever experienced. So I extended my stay there and visited many places, I tasted their food, listened to their music, swam their sea, even spoke their language a little bit. I was sitting on a beach one night and I heard a song from a company nearby. They do that a lot. They burst into a song any time given. Just like Rach here. So that song moved me a lot. It reminded my homegirl, Santana, over there and I thought how I would like to sing it to her sometime. It is a song from a Greek songwriter but written in English. So the fact that I could understand the lyrics, the summer night, the stars, you memory, Santana… made me store this song in my head. And I think now is the time to give it to you… with all my love.

Santana nodded. Many people were crying now moved by Brittany's words. The first notes of the sweet music began and Brittany with Rachel started singing. Brittany smiled. She was right that this song would be great with Rachel's voice.

Brittany & Rachel: (Monika- Yes I do)

27 of December is arrived and I think it's Saturday
Greece is turning into white and it's cold
We don't really care

I keep thinking of the way that we were met
Feels like it's a fairy tale
You're the princess the most beautiful I've seen
I am just a prince

Brittany: I can make you play
I can make you smile
I can make you safe in my foolish arms

Brittany went over to Santana and opened her hand. Leslie wouldn't let her go but she escaped her grab and gave her hand to Brittany.

You're my sweetest kiss
You're my immortality
You're my pretty world world
Spins inside my little mind little mind

Brittany guided them on stage and they hugged each other. They started dancing as if no one was around. They were both crying hard but they were looking to each other as if they were happy again.

Brittany & Rachel: Now we're kissing and we're saying to each other
Just a little I do
But the thing is what we really want to say
It cannot be said

And I promise I will never let that death
Take you from me anyway
I'll throw us stars stars stars
To wish we'll never die

Brittany now took a step a way from Santana. She left her at the centre of the stage and sang the last lyrics looking at her in her eyes. She was really saying these words to Santana as if they were her only truth, her only reality. And she wanted Santana to know that.

Brittany: You're my brightest sun
You're my crystal sea
You're my loudest rhythm
Beats inside my heart

I will make you laugh
I will make you fly
To the shiny skies
Where we'll live in happiness

Brittany finished the song. Everyone stood up and clapped. But Brittany was only looking to Santana. She was the only one for her and suddenly she saw something in Santana's eyes; something that she hadn't seen for a very long time. Santana's eyes became hard, and strong, and not at all sad anymore. She reached Brittany took her hand and kissed it with so much love, but then she descended the stage, found Leslie and dragged her outside of the room. The crowd went back to their party and Brittany was standing there emotionally expended. Her friends and the Lopezes came to gather her and they all sat on their table again. Brittany couldn't talk anymore. She was exhausted. Santana's mother held her in her arms and all of them were waiting patiently for the night to come to an end.

Santana dragged Leslie to the nearest empty room. Leslie turned and touched Santana seductively.

Leslie: Baby, we have guests. We will have time for that later.

Santana: (She stepped away from Leslie) Actually we won't.

Leslie: Huh?

Santana: I'm really sorry about everything that is my fault but I'm not sorry for everything that it's yours. And maybe I never was 100% on this but your fault is that you knew it and pushed it till the end. And maybe it's my fault that I've lost myself but it's your fault that you kept me lost in order to keep me by your side.

Leslie: What are you saying, Santana?

Santana: I'm saying that I'm not coming back home with you tonight and I'll file for a divorce in a year. I would do it tomorrow but I know you care about what people think and it isn't entirely your fault that we reached this point. So I'm facing my own consequences.

Leslie: (She sounded irritated as if she didn't pay attention to what Santana was saying) What kind of nonsense is that? Are you drunk? Let's go back to the party.

Santana: LESLIE! I said we are breaking up!
