The game was exciting and quick. The crowded roared every time the team scored and applauded. The game was quick for they went up against one of the worst teams. A few freezing winds and light snow falling later, the game was over. Victory going to Peach Creek University, making them once again undefeated. The crowd quickly stood up and exited the stands. Eddward lingered around; waiting for Kevin.
Kevin quickly took a shower in the locker room to wash off the sweat and mud. He took a total of ten minutes and rushed out to meet Eddward. Kevin received a text from Eddward letting him know that he would be waiting outside of the locker room in the hall. Without fail, when Kevin exited the locker room, Eddward was there waiting for him.
"Hey." Kevin said.
"Hey." Eddward replied. Kevin leaned in and gave Eddward a quick hug and then began walking down the hall towards the exit. "You played a wonderful game."
"Thanks." Kevin said. "It was the best game we've had so far. It got kinda tight in the middle." Kevin said smiling.
"I know I was there. The way you all play together is remarkable." Eddward said. Kevin nudged him. Eddward chuckled and stepped closer to Kevin. He loved the way Kevin smelled. After the game was over Kevin took a shower for Eddward, he knew how he felt about being clean. They exited the building and walked down the main path of the campus. Eddward wanted to hold Kevin's hand but he knew he couldn't. Student and teacher relationships are strictly forbidden. He valued his job and Kevin's education. Eddward held back the feeling of wanting to hold Kevin's hand. To feel the warm calloused hands of his. Eddward stuffed his hands in his pocket to occupy himself.
Kevin noted at what Eddward was doing. He personally wanted to hold his hand to, but refrained from doing it for Eddward's sake.
"Hey Eddward?" Kevin said.
"Yes Kevin?" Eddward answered.
"What do you say we spend time together this weekend coming up? Next week will be Thanksgiving and I'll be off all week. I'm sure you will be to. We can go home together and spend some time with each other. Or if you don't want to go home we can stay here, or I don't know go somewhere else." Kevin spit the words out of his mouth as fast as he could. His cheeks heating up giving away his embarrassment.
Eddward was shocked by the proposition Kevin brought up. He was aware that Thanksgiving is coming up, and he personally didn't have anything to do. He knew his parents wouldn't be home for the holidays; they never are. He was thinking about going home to see Ed and Eddy but he hasn't spoken to them in a while. God Eddward, disserting my friends like this? What has the world come to?
"I would love that." Eddward said. Kevin smiled and looked up at Eddward.
"Really?" Kevin asked disbelief heavy in his voice.
"Yes." Eddward said. Kevin grabbed Eddward's arm and pulled him off of the main path in the University. "What, what are you doing Kevin!" Eddward yelled in a hushed voice.
"Shh, follow me." Kevin retorted. Kevin dragged him off of the path and led him to an abandoned pathway. Kevin took Kevin down the path, behind an abandoned building. Kevin looked at the back of the building, checking to make sure no one was watching. Quickly he ran and pulled Eddward alongside him. They jogged to a door at the end of the building and slipped inside quietly. Kevin slammed the door shut behind them.
It wasn't too long until Eddward realized where they were. Kevin led them into the old Human Resources building. It was currently closed and off access to everyone. Due to the leaky ceiling, the university decided they would remodel it and bring it up to date. Half of the building has already demolished.
"Kevin, why are we in the old Human Resources building? This is off limits to everyone. Even the professors; especially the students."
Kevin grabbed Eddward and slammed him against the wall, crushing him with his lips. Eddward gasped caught off guard by the assault. Kevin parted Eddward's lips with his tongue; tasting the inside of his mouth. Eddward eagerly kissed him back, giving into submission. Kevin's hands found their way to Eddward's hair. The silky strings flowing through his hands.
Eddward pulled away from Kevin, gasping for air.
"Can't breathe." Kevin said, chuckling under his breath.
"Maybe I would be able to breathe if my blood pressure wasn't raised against my will." Eddward said scowling Kevin.
"Against your will." Kevin said leaning in closer to Eddward. Blowing soft breaths against his neck. "I didn't see you try and stop me." Eddward reached up to push Kevin back, playing along with his little game. Kevin's arms shot up and pinned them behind his back. "Nice try." Kevin said winking.
Eddward gazed into his eyes and leaned in to kiss him. Kevin leaned back not allowing the intimate contact. "No. Remember, against your will." Smiling like a devil, all of Eddward's blood rushed through his body. Being turned on more than he has ever been in his life.
Kevin let go of Eddward's hands and stepped back.
"I..." Kevin trailed off.
"I? I what?" Eddward asked.
"Nothing, never mind." Kevin said. "Lets get out of here before we catch some unknown disease from this old ass building." Eddward couldn't agree more and left with Kevin.
They walked down the abandoned path until they came to the path that lead to Eddward's apartment.
"Well this is where I leave." Eddward said. Bitterness in his tone. He didn't want to leave Kevin; he wanted him to come with. But he knew he couldn't.
"I know. I'll see you later. Call me." Kevin said. Without a kiss, or weave goodbye, Kevin turned on his heels and walked away. Leaving Eddward standing there confused.
What was wrong with him? He's never act that way before. Even though we just got together, I knew him practically my whole life. Something's wrong...
Eddward pushed the thought to the back of his mind and walked down the path. The temperature started to drop making Eddward slouch into his coat. The path was dead silent, making Eddward shiver. He used to love walking down the path, but in the mist of fall he changed his mind. It was just so eerie. It gave him shivers.
As he walked down the path he always felt like someone was watching him. Constantly looking over his shoulders, fearing that someone might walk up behind him and kill him. He knew he was being illogical because campus security was so tight. Ever since the complaints about that peeper, guards have been everywhere. It seemed that every time you turned a corner there was another guard. Eddward took a deep breath to clear his mind.
"Help!" Someone screamed in the woods. Eddward stopped in his tracks. Jerking his head in every direction he was looking for the source of the scream. Another scream ripped through the air. The noise was coming from behind him. He turned around and ran towards the plea for help.
"I'm coming!" He yelled into the woods. He ran down the path. Another scream ripped through the air but it was closer this time. As he ran he heard a sob. In the distance he saw a woman run out of the woods and collapse on the path. Eddward ran towards her and kneeled by her side.
She was young. She was gasping for air, holding her stomach. Eddward looked down and saw that her shirt was drenched in blood.
"Help me..." She gasped.
"Okay. Okay I got you. You're safe now." Eddward unraveled his scarf and wrapped it around her stomach. "Push down on it." She pushed down on her stomach. Little whimpers escaped her mouth. Eddward scooped her up in his arms and ran towards the university. He ran as fast as he could.
Running out of the Eddward ran towards the universities hospital. Bolting through the University's hospital door screaming for help. Doctors turned around and rushed towards him.
"Help please. Someone help me." Eddward said.
"We need a gurney stat!" One of the doctors said. "Okay sir, what happened?" He asked.
"I was walking through the path towards the apartments and I heard her scream so I rushed towards the sound, and I found her." Eddward said.
"Okay do you know her?"
"No. Is she going to be alright?" The doctors took her out of his hands and placed her on the gurney.
"Okay she's going into shock. We got to move." The doctors turned around and wheeled her down the hallway leaving Eddward. Eddward stepped forward to follow but a nurse stopped him.
"Look I know you want to help, but you'll just get in the way. You've already did enough." Eddward shook his head and waited.
Campus security was called and questioned Eddward what felt like a thousand times. He told the story over and over again. Giving exact details of what happened. He didn't see her attacker. The Dean showed and walked directly towards Eddward.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Like I told everyone else sir, I was walking down the path heading towards my apartment when I heard a scream. I turned around and I heard it again so I ran towards it. The girl, she stumbled out of the surrounding woods and collapsed on the path. I picked her up and carried her here." He said.
"Did you see anything?" He asked.
"As in her attacker? No I didn't. By the time I was there he or she was long gone." He said.
"You didn't look!" The Dean said, raising his voice.
"No I didn't. I didn't stick around to search for her attacker."
"Why?"
"And leave her dead on the path. I'd rather save her life than end it." To his disbelief the Dean was very immoral. You'd rather have me leave her there to die and look for her attacker. I can't believe this.
"You're right. I apologize." A doctor approached them.
"Good evening Dean, Professor Vincent. The girl her name is Charlie Bradford, and she is a student here. We found her ID in her pocket and ran her information. She's stable now, and we expect her to make a full recovery. As we operated on her we found that she was stabbed in the lower abdomen. It would have been a fateful wound if Professor Vincent didn't rush her here when he did. She's asleep now. We welcome you all to do a thorough investigation of this, but right now she needs her rest. She will be able to talk in the morning. Until then, let her rest." Nodding his head in agreement the Dean turned to look at Eddward.
"I appreciate everything you did; you saved her life. Go home. You look horrible and you're covered in blood. You can use a good bath." The Dean signaled for some guards to come over. "Look they will take you home in a squad car. As of now, that path is off limits for everyone. All professors will be driven back and forward to and from their apartments. I want a full report of what happened emailed to me Professor Vincent." The Dean patted his shoulder and turned to talk to the head of security.
The guards let Eddward out of the hospital towards a patrol car outside. He got in the back and they drove off. The drive to the apartments was not as long as Eddward though it would be. They dropped him off in the parking lot. Eddward walked up towards his apartment building. Waving down to the guards letting them know he was okay they drove off. Eddward reached into his pocket and pulled out his keys. Opening the door to his apartment he entered and closed it behind him.
Eddward was pushed against the wall. With a gasp Eddward reached for a weapon to defend him.
"Wait! It's me!" Kevin yelled in the darkness.
"Kevin?" Eddward said in disbelief. "What are you doing here, in my apartment? How'd you even get in here?" Eddward reached over and turned on the light. Kevin stood in front of him. He wore nothing but a pair of jogging pants and sweater.
"I heard what happened and rushed here as fast as I could. When you weren't here I decided to wait for you to make sure you were okay." Kevin leaned forward and kissed Eddward. "I thought you were hurt." Kevin wrapped his hands around Eddward and breathed in his sweet smell. He never wanted to lose this. Eddward hugged him back.
"I'm okay. No need to worry." Eddward said looking at Kevin. Eddward stepped back pushing Kevin away.
"What are you doing?"
"I don't know if you noticed, but I am covered in blood." Eddward signaled by pointing towards his chest. Kevin shook his head. Eddward kicked off his shoes and notice that Kevin didn't have on any either. He chuckled to himself. "By the way, how did you get in my apartment?" Eddward asked.
"I know a thing or two." Kevin said smiling. Eddward walked towards his bedroom. Removing his coat and discarding his phone he turned to look at Kevin. "I'm going to take a shower okay."
"Of course, you need one." He said, emphasizing on the need part. Eddward rolled his eyes and walked towards the bathroom. Taking off his clothes he turned the shower's temperature to his liking and got in. He took a quick, but thorough shower making sure he got all the dirt and blood that got on him. HE stepped out of the shower and wrapped himself in a towel. Reaching for his clothes he came up empty. I forgot to grab my clothes.
Eddward walked out of the bathroom and into his room.
"Wow, what a nice view you have." Kevin said, turning around. "What a nice view I have." He said eyeing Eddward. Eddward walked into his closet and put on a pair or pajama pants and a tank top. He walked back into his room drying his hair.
"How are you doing?" Kevin asked.
"I'm fine."
"Are you sure? You just saved a girl from dying." Kevin said.
"I am fine. I promise." Eddward said. Kevin approached Eddward.
"I am glad you're okay. Now that I know you're okay, I'll be going." Kevin walked passed Eddward. Eddward turned around and grabbed Kevin by his arm.
"Where do you think you're going?" Eddward asked.
"Back to my dorm."
"Last time I checked there is a psychopath in the woods stalking and hurting students. As I can see it you are a student, and it's late. You're not going anywhere. Not tonight."
"You're so hot when you talk to me like that."
"Don't try and smooth talk me. It's Friday, and I know you don't have any classes tomorrow so don't try and use that lie."
"I wasn't actually. I was hoping you would make me stay."
"What, why?"
"I don't know to be honest. I guess I just wanted to see if you really cared about me." Kevin said in a low tone.
"Of course I care about you, why wouldn't I?" Eddward asked.
"I don't know. I just never felt this way about someone. I just have this feeling that this... us... is going to end soon and I don't want that to happen. I think if I can find something doubtful about us that it would make it easier for me to walk away from you." Kevin said not looking at Eddward.
"Kevin..." Eddward said. "Look there is nothing wrong with us. Our relationship is okay, and nothing is going to end it. I promise. I will always be here for you. God forbid that our relationship will end."
"If it does?" Kevin retorted.
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. But now I'm here and you're here. That's all that matters." Eddward raised Kevin hand and kissed it. Kevin nodded in agreement.
"I almost lost you today." Kevin said leaning into Eddward. Kevin kissed Eddward taking all of him in. Eddward kissed Eddward back. Kevin pushed Eddward back towards his bed and climbed on top. Eddward laid with his back on the bed while Kevin sat on top of him. They kissed.
Kevin ran his hands under Eddward's shirt. Feeling his soft chest drove him mad. Eddward leaned forward and took off Kevin's shirt, placing love bites on his chest. They laid there together kissing each other. Expressing their need for each other. Their love.
"I love you." Eddward said, whispering in Kevin's ear.
"I love you too." Kevin said. Sealing his love with a kiss on the forehead. Kevin moved off of Eddward and laid next to him. Pulling Eddward close Kevin played with his hair. "Do you remember when we were little?" Kevin asked.
"I remember it clearly." Eddward answered wearily.
"Remember when I dunked Eddy's head in a toilet for giving the whole Football team food poisoning." Kevin chuckled.
"I do, and I pushed you in the stall and we ran." Eddward answered laughing.
"Oh yah you pushed me, pushed me hard. Ed put my head in the toilet and you all ran." Kevin laughed.
"Ah yes, I forgot about that. Those were the good days."
"Yes they were. Who would have thought that years from then we would be together?"
"Good things happen." Eddward said. Eddward rolled over and looked at Kevin in the face. "To answer your question from earlier I would love to go with you for Thanksgiving break. I don't know where we would go, but I would love to spend it with you." Kevin's eyes light up like the night sky.
"It's settled then. We are going to have the best Thanksgiving dinner together." Kevin kissed Eddward on the nose and jumped up.
"Where are you going?" Eddward said sitting up.
"To make my princess something to eat. He looks like he's starved." Kevin said.
"Oh really now?"
"Yes really now. Besides, I like my princesses thick. If you know what I mean." Kevin winked at Eddward and walked out of the room.
Eddward chuckled to himself and followed Kevin.
