Kevin looked down and watched Eddward sleep as they sat on the couch. Eddward complained on how he had so much work to do and was determined to complete it all that night. Ignoring Kevin's protest to get some rest after what he's been through today. Eddward bluntly told him that the sooner he finished his work the more time he would have with Kevin. It was enough to make Kevin's heart melt.
They sat on the couch while Kevin watched ESPN and Eddward watched his computer. Muttering to himself and commenting on his students papers'. It was a scene to watch. He looked adorable when his glasses would slide down his face and hang on his nose. Eddward soon drifted off to sleep next to Kevin. His computer still in his lap and papers in his hands. Kevin leaved down and kissed Eddward on his forehead.
"My dork." Kevin said silently. Kevin stood and removed Eddward's computer off of his lap and papers, neatly putting them back in his work bag. He leaned down and picked Eddward up bridal style and carried him to the bedroom. Eddward wrapped himself around Kevin in a loving way, even though he was fast asleep. Kevin lied him down on his bed and tucked the covers around him. Kevin sat at the end of the bed and watched Eddward sleep.
He was beautiful. He looked younger and more relaxed. His soft breathing, his parted lips, and fluttering eyelids was enough to convince Kevin to spend the rest of his life with him. I love him.Kevin thought to himself. Kevin sat there and watched Eddward sleep for what seemed hours. He loved to watch him sleep. The way he stirred in his sleep stirred his own heart. It was a remarkable sight. My dork.Kevin glanced at the clock and saw that it was a little past three. He was tired, but not tired enough to crawl into bed with Eddward and go to sleep.
He stood and walked out the room. He started to wander around the apartment. He never realized how big the apartment was until now. Nighttime would do that to you. Make you realize how big a place truly is.The apartment itself was big enough for two people, but Eddward was here all alone. It was an unsettling thought in Kevin and made him feel cold. He brushed the feeling off and walked over to Eddward's massive book collection. He mindlessly looked through the titles of the book.
"The Picture of Dorian Gray... American History for Dummies... The Return of Sherlock Holmes..." Kevin read off the titles of the books on the self to himself. He was never a fan of reading. He knew book titles and knew when a book was a "classic," but he never heard of these books. He chuckled to himself.
Maybe I can by Eddward a book collection of something. He'll like that.Kevin thought to himself. He continued to skim through the titles of the books getting a sense of what he should by. His eyes stopped on a book that had no title. Kevin cocked his head to the side. That's weird, since when does a book not have a title?Kevin reached out and plucked the book off of the shelf.
It was a big book. It has no title on the front or the side of the book. He flipped it open realized that it was a photo album. How stupid can I be?Kevin took the photo album and headed over to the armchair and sat in it. The first picture showed a little boy with his parents. Kevin automatically knew who the boy was. It was Edd and his parents. He was smiling so huge. He wore shorts and a fishing hat he held a fishing pole and a small fish hooked on a string. He went fishing with his parents and was so happy he caught a fish; even though it was remarkably small. He looked so much like his mother. He inherited a beauty and black hair, while he took after his father's eyes and facial structure. Such a resemblance.
Kevin flipped through the photo album and saw pictures of Eddward with Ed and Eddy. Hanging out in their rooms or in school. He had pictures of them in a van with a bed, their hang out. He also had pictures of the kids from the cul-de-sac. Pictures of Nazz, Johnny, Sarah, Rolf, Jimmy, Plank, even the Kanker sisters. The photo album took Kevin back. He had pictures from block parties to birthday parties, from grammar school to high school, homecoming to prom. It was a blast from the past.
Kevin stopped flipping through the photo. Who is this?Kevin stared at a picture of a girl. She was remarkably beautiful. She was standing on the edge of a cliff looking out. She was dressed in shorts, a white t-shirt, and a hat. A camera hung from her neck and she was smiling. She was a blonde. Short too. She was young. She had to be at least the same age as Eddward and Kevin. Kevin flipped to the next page of the photo album and there were more pictures of the girl. There were a lot of pictures of her. There were pictures of her and Eddward together. Who is this?
"What are you doing?" Eddward said. Shit!Kevin looked up and Eddward was standing over him looking down. How did I not hear him come in let alone get up?Eddward's eyes immediately went to the photo album. His eyes went huge. "What are you doing with that?" Eddward asked quietly.
"Umm... I was looking at the pictures. They brought back memories. Especially form the cul-de-sac." Kevin stammered.
"Oh is that so?" Eddward asked eyeing the picture of the blonde girl.
"Yes. I'm sorry I should have asked before I went through your stuff." Kevin apologized.
"It's okay." Eddward said.
"Who is this?" Kevin asked. He couldn't contain his curiosity. Curiosity killed the cat.He subconscious snapped at him.
"No one." Eddward answered absentmindedly and took the photo album from Kevin and placed it back on the shelf. No one? Shit she is someone with all those damn photos of her.
"Okay..." Kevin said. I don't want to fight with him so I'll just be quiet.
"Come to bed with me please." Eddward said and grabbed Kevin's hand. "I'm lonesome without you." He said. Kevin's heart jumped out of his chest and stood up fast forgetting the whole photo album.
"Anything for you." Kevin said his heart in his throat. He picked Eddward up and carried him into the bedroom ignoring his protest to be put down. Kevin laid Eddward on the bed and climbed on top of him.
"You know I always had a fantasy to be with a teacher Professor Vincent." Kevin whispered into his ear. "Let me show you." Kevin said taking Eddward and himself into oblivion.
