"Ladies and gentlemen we will be having a short intermission. Please feel free to replenish yourselves. Thank you." The Dean announced in the microphone. Eddward and Emily came to a stop on the dance floor. Eddward bowed before her and Emily dipped. The dancers began to exit the dance floor. Eddward and Emily exited the ballroom and stood in the hallway. Empty.

"I'm tired." Emily said. "How much longer is this dance?"

"It's a marathon." Eddward said bluntly. Emily rolled her eyes.

"Well if you'll excuse me I'll be going to the ladies room."

"The ladies room?" Eddward chuckled. Emily rolled her eyes again and disappeared down the hall leaving Eddward alone. Everyone was still in the ballroom talking.

Emily walked down the hall by herself towards the ladies room. I think I went the wrong way... Emily looked around at the doors seeing no sign of a bathroom. The bathroom is probably in the opposite direction. Dammit. Emily grabbed the bottom of her dress and turned around.

"Oh my god!" Emily yelped grabbing at her chest. "You scared me." She said. Standing in front of her was a beautiful blonde woman wearing a long black dress. "If you're looking for the bathroom you went the wrong way. Don't worry I did to. We can walk back together if you want. The blonde stood and stared at Emily, her eyes burning. "Hello?" Emily asked starting to get irritated.

"Why are you with Eddward?" The blonde spoke.

"What?" Emily asked confused.

"Did I stutter? Why are you with Eddward?" She said again.

"What's it to you? Who are you?" Emily snapped back.

"I'm Eddward's fiancée."

"Fiancée?" Emily asked in shock. "Last time I checked Eddward was gay."

"He's lying to himself he just doesn't want to admit that we're meant to be together."

"I think you're the one lying to yourself." Emily spat at her. "Who are you anyway some obsessed stalker?" Emily said. The blonde looked at Emily. "Whatever." Emily walked forward passing the blonde. The blonde arched out and grabbed Emily's arm throwing her back against the wall. "What the hell is your problem?" Emily said shoving the blonde.

"You're my problem." The blonde struck Emily in the head knocking her out.

Eddward stood on the outside of the hall. Where is Emily? Is she making the damn bathroom?

"Ladies and Gentlemen if you would please start to make your way back to the dance room we will soon resume the dance." The Dean announced. Damn Emily. Eddward looked down at his watch. Where is she? Eddward walked down the hall in the direction where Emily went. She couldn't have gone that far. Eddward turned the corner of the hall and continued to walk to look for Emily.

"Emily." Eddward called out. "Emily where did you go?" Eddward said a little bit louder. Down the hall stood a blonde woman in a black dress. "Excuse me miss have you send a woman in a red dress come this way?" Eddward approached the woman standing behind her. "Excuse me miss?" He said once again.

"No I haven't seen a woman in a red dress come this way." She said turning around.

"Rebekah..." Eddward said in shock taking a step back. "What are you... I don't understand..." Eddward muttered.

"You act as if you seen a ghost Edd." She smiled.

"You aren't supposed to be here. What are you doing here?" He asked.

"What I can't come and see my dear friend perform in a dance marathon. You look dashing as ever."

"You were in institutionalized. They said it wasn't okay for you to be out on your own." Eddward said. "What happened?"

"They adjusted my meds and I got better. They released me earlier. I was so happy that I would be able to come and see you. After so many years of being alone. You stopped coming to see me Eddward. I thought you forgot about me." A tear dripped down Rebekah's face.

"No that's not what happened. They wouldn't let me see you. I tried but I couldn't. I'm so sorry. I know you must have been so alone. But you're here now so everything will be okay."

"Yes everything will be okay. We can be together again like we used to be." Rebekah said reaching forward stroking Eddward's face. Eddward smiled and embraced her warm hand.

"How I missed you so." Eddward's phone began to buzz in his pocket. Eddward reached into his pocket and pulled it out. "I'm sorry but I need to take this." Eddward said. Eddward put his phone to his ear. "Professor Vincent speaking."

"Eddward its Dr. Jones. I'm sorry to call you at such a late hour but have you seen or heard from Rebekah?" He asked.

"Yes. Why she is right here with me." He answered.

"Eddward listen to me carefully. You need to get away from her as quickly as you can." Eddward looked at Rebekah. She mouthed what's wrong. Eddward shook his head. "She escaped the instate today and we have been looking for her. She is extremely dangerous. She is suffering a psychotic break." Eddward backed away from Rebekah.

"What's wrong Eddward?" She said. "You don't love me anymore." Rebekah reached behind her back and struck Eddward with a blunt object making him fall to the ground. Rebekah picked up the phone.

"Hello Eddward! Hello? Are you okay?" Dr. Jones shouted into the receiver.

"I'm sorry but Eddward is temporally unable to come to the phone. Please leave a message." She hung up.

"Rebekah..." Eddward groaned trying to stand.

"You're not going anywhere." She said hitting him again making his vision go black.

"Kevin." The Coach called. Kevin turned around and sat down his cup of champagne.

"Yes Coach?" Kevin replied.

"Ah have you seen Professor Vincent and his date?" He asked.

"No I have not. They last time I saw them was when they exited the ball room into the hallway." Kevin said confused. "Why do you ask?"

"Well it seems that the dance is about to continue and they haven't returned. I would hate for them to flake out on us." The Coached wined.

"I'll go look for them for you." Kevin stated.

"Really that would be excellent!" The Coach exclaimed patting Kevin on the shoulder. Kevin nodded and exited the ballroom. He walked out into the hallway. Empty. Where could they have gone? Kevin walked down the hallway.

"Eddward?" Kevin called out. No answer. "Emily?" Kevin called out. No answer. Strange they were just in the hall a minute ago they couldn't have disappeared into thin air. Kevin trigged down the hallway calling out their name. "Eddward? Emily? Hello?" Kevin walked down a deserted hallway. Kevin continued to walk until he heard a crunching noise under his foot. What the? Kevin reached down and picked up what he stepped on. A phone? Who dropped their phone out here? Kevin hit the home button on the phone when the lock screen revealed the wallpaper the periodic table of elements. Eddward's phone? Kevin began to feel uneasy. Kevin stood and looked around. No one is here. What is Eddward's phone doing here lying on the floor? "Eddward!" Kevin hollered. In the distance Kevin heard a muffled groan. "Eddward?" He called again. This time he heard the groan clearer coming from behind him.

Kevin walked down the hall towards the muffle groan. "Eddward?" He called again. The moan was coming behind a door. "Eddward are you in here?" He called into the door. To answer his question something or someone banged the door. Kevin reached for the doorknob but it wouldn't budge. Locked. Damn. Kevin reached into his pocket and pulled out his ID and wedged it between the door and the doorframe. He wiggled his card up and down until the lock released and the door opened. Kevin ran in and turned on the lights. Emily sat on the floor gads tied behind he back and her mouth tapped shut.

"Oh my God. Ima get you out okay hold on." Kevin leaned down and untied Emily's hands and ripped the tape off of her mouth. She yelped in pain. "Sorry, are you okay?" Kevin asked helping her to her feet.

"Hell no I am not alright some crazy as bitch attacked me." Emily hissed.

"What?" Kevin said in shock.

"I was walking down the hall to use the bathroom when this crazy chick came up behind me and went bezerk." She said.

"Why?"

"I don't know she said something about how she was Eddward's fiancée and that she was the one he loved. She shoved me into the wall and knocked me out. When I came to she was stuffing me in that damn closet and tapped my mouth shut. She was saying stuff like Eddward was hers and hers only. She is crazy I tell you." Emily rubbed her wrist. "Speaking about Eddward where is she?" She asked looking at Kevin.

"I don't know he is missing. I came to look for him and I find you in a damn closet hogged tied." Emily shot him a glance.

"Do you think that chick did something to him?" Her face went pale.

"I don't know..." Kevin trailed off. Silence hung between the two. The phone Kevin picked up began to ring. Kevin looked at Emily and the both nodded. Emily leaned in and Kevin answered the phone. "Hello."

"Eddward are you okay are you safe!" Someone screamed into the receiver.

"No I'm sorry but this isn't Eddward this is Kevin." Kevin said.

"And Emily." Emily interjected.

"Where's Eddward?" The person on the other line asked.

"He's not here... Who is this?" Kevin asked.

"I am Dr. Jones. I am a psychiatrist. I was assigned to Rebekah Aldred's case on the behalf of Eddward. She was diagnosed with schizophrenia. She was institutionalized due to her condition. I have taken good care of her and kept Eddward informed on her progress. However, lately she has been having violent out breaks and memory loss. This morning she went missing. I called Eddward earlier to ask if he has seen her but the line suddenly went missing and I began to worry. Is he okay?" Dr. Jones asked.

"I don't know." Kevin said.

"What does this Rebekah look like?" Emily asked.

"She is Caucasian with blonde hair." He stated.

"That bitch. That's her it has to be." She said.

"What are you talking about?" Kevin asked.

"The person who knocked me out and stuffed me in a closet. She was Caucasian with blonde hair." She said.

"This is not good. Rebekah has always had a special relationship with Eddward. She was fixated on him. She would get really agitated when she wasn't allowed to see him. You have to find Eddward quickly. I'll alert the police." Dr. Jones said.

"Good ideas Dr. Jones if we knew where he was." Kevin said.

"Rebekah would have probably taken him somewhere secluded like a house or something far from a crowd of people."

"I think I know where he is." Kevin said. "I think she took him to his apartment it's the ideal place. All the professors are at the ball so the place is practically completely empty." Emily nodded in agreement.

"Please get to him as soon as possible. Be extremely careful it's unsafe what she is capable of. Be safe. I am on my way to the University as I speak." The line went dead. Kevin turned to Emily.

"I'm going to head to Eddward's house. Tell the dean, the staff, hell tell everybody. Eddward's in trouble and we got to save him." Emily nodded.

"He's going to be okay." Emily said holding Kevin's shaking hands. Kevin nodded and they went their separate ways. Hold on Eddward.

My vision... it's blurry... I can't see... Where am I? What happened to the ball? Did it end already? Where's Emily. I can't move. My arms they won't move. Eddward bilked his eyes repeatedly making his vision clear. I'm home in my bed. How did I get here? What happened? My head it hurts. I feel like I'm suffocating. Why am I in my bed? What's going on? Eddward tried to sit up but a rush of pain shot through his body making him fall back. Eddward looked down to see his feet tied to the bed. He looked up to also see his hands were tied to the bed frame.

"What is going on?" Eddward slurred. Eddward looked down towards the foot of the bed. A figure stood in front of him. His vision was still blurry so he focused on the body in front of him. His vision slowly came into focus. "Rebekah..." Eddward breathed out when he finally saw who it was.

"My dear Eddward." She said. "I missed you so." Rebekah stood at the end of the bed with her arms crossed."

"Rebekah what's going on?" Eddward pulled on the ropes that had him tied to the bed. I feel so weak. Why can't I break them?

"Don't worry I'm going to take good care of you." She smiled. "Don't move to much you might pass out again. I gave you a sedative to make you relax."

"You gave me... a what...?" He said. My head it's spinning.

"A sedative doesn't it make you feel so good?" She asked walking to sit next to him on the bed. She rubbed her hand across his face. "You were always so handsome. It was my dream for us to get married you know?" She said.

"I don't like women." Eddward said his head falling back on the pillow.

"You could have fooled me. Going to a ball with a whore like that. Who wears a dress like that in public?" She said harshly.

"Who Emily?" Eddward asked looking at her. "She's a friend nothing more." He said. Emily grabbed Eddward by the jaw and dug her nails in his chin. Eddward cried out in pain.

"You liar. I saw you and her. You walked her to her apartment. She invited you in. You practically had sex with her!" She screamed.

"I didn't have sex with her." Eddward said pulling his face free from her hands. My head is going to gall off my shoulders.

"You had sex with me." She said lying next to him.

"That was a long time ago. I did it for you." He said.

"And you enjoyed it." She said licking his face.

"Rebekah..." Eddward pleaded.

"You loved the way I touched you." Eddward shook his head denying it. "You did." She whispered in his ear. She moved her hand down to his pants and rubbed his groin making Eddward jerk.

"Don't..." He exasperated.

"You like it and you know you do." Rebekah released him and jumped up off of the bed walking about his room. "Your house is nice. I could imagine myself living here."

"Let me go... you need help." Eddward groaned. I'm going to throw up. It's so hot in here...

"I need help? HA! You need help. You walk around all high and mighty while you have sex with your students." She lashed out at him.

"I don't have sex with my students..." Eddward said groggily. Rebekah lashed out and smacked Eddward in the face leaving her handprint.

"Don't you dare lie to me. I can forgive a lot of things, but lying is not one of them." She said. Eddward's head was on fire. "I know you're screwing that football player Kevin. He's in love with you you know. He watched you all night like a lost puppy dog. Cute actually." She smiled playing with a knife she picked up.

"I love Kevin..." Eddward said. Rebekah turned red and crawled on top of Eddward straddling his hips.

"Take that back." She said enraged.

"I can't it's the truth." Eddward said looking her in the eyes.

"Well I'll show you how much I love you." She said plunging Eddward in the stomach with the knife she was holding.

Kevin ran up the stairs to Eddward's apartment quietly trying not to make a sound. Kevin looked around before he grabbed the handle to the door. He quietly turned the door knob opening the door. Kevin walked through the house looking for any signs of Eddward.

"Ahhh!" Kevin heard Eddward scream out in pain. Kevin rushed to Eddward's bedroom door to see him tied to the bed with Rebekah straddling him. Kevin pulled out his phone and quickly texted Emily that he found Eddward and that he was at his apartment. Kevin opened the bedroom door and walked in. Rebekah's head snapped to where Kevin entered. Kevin froze.

"Looks like your boyfriend came to save you." She said caressing Eddward's face leaving blood on his face from her hands. Blood... "You know Kevin, it's Kevin right? "She said looking at him. "Eddward is handsome covered in red. Especially blood. It brings out his handsome features."

Eddward lay on the bed beneath Rebekah breathing in pants. His shirt was sating in blood, bruises were beginning to form on his face, and he was sweating. He looked so defenseless.

"Rebekah..." Eddward panted.

"Yes dear?" She said.

"Please just stop." He said. His head fell back on the pillows. He was in so much pain.

"Rebekah," Kevin said, "You don't have to do this. Can't you see you're hurting him?" Rebekah brought up hand holding the knife and trailed Eddward's face. She sliced his face making a thin cut appear.

"He hurt me. He always said he loved me. But when I got sick he stopped seeing me. It was like he didn't care anymore." Kevin took a few steps forward. "He said he loved me. We had whole nine yards but it wasn't enough for him." She shook her head. "When I saw him with those students I knew I had to do something."

"What students?" Kevin asked in confusion.

"Some students Eddward came in contact with. Especially the girls. The ones that went missing and were found murdered. I killed them." She said looking at him.

"That's impossible those murders happened sometime ago. Dr. Jones said you went missing today." Rebekah laughed.

"Please I snuck out of that institution many times. I just never was count. However, I guess I was caught this time." She humped her shoulders. "Oh well." She breathed out. "I just needed to see him one more time before we go." She said.

"We?" Rebekah raised the knife she held.

"Goodbye Eddward." She said and lowered her knife. Kevin sprinted across the room and tackled Rebekah to the floor. Rebekah struck Kevin in the face blurring his vision. "Stop interfering! This is destiny!" She screamed lunging at Eddward. Kevin tackled her and wrestled her to the floor. The struggled fro control on the knife. Rebekah twisted her wrist and cut Kevin making him back off. "I guess he'll just bleed to death." She said with fury in her eyes. Kevin lunged at her grabbing the knife and throwing it across the room. Rebekah kicked him and ran towards the knife. Kevin reached out and grabbed her ankle making her fall. Kevin crawled on top of her and punched her knocking her out. Rebekah lay motionless on the floor.

Kevin scrambled to his feet and ran to Eddward. "Oh Eddward!" He yelled. Kevin picked the knife up off of the floor and cut the ropes that held Eddward captive.

"Kevin..." Eddward said looking up.

"Police!" Men from the hall screamed.

"In here!" Kevin shouted back. Eddward began to whimper. Kevin looked down at him and saw how bad he looked. There were cuts all over his bloody and he was bleeding badly. "Shh it's going to be okay." Kevin said putting pressure on Eddward's stomach. Eddward groaned in pain.

"I love you..." Eddward said.

"I love you too." Kevin said kissing Eddward's forehead. Eddward's eyes fluttered closed. "Eddward!" Kevin screamed shaking him. No! Police started filling the room. Kevin stood there motionless whispering Eddward's name.
