Author's Note (Important): This ALSO takes place in the Red AU, but if you didn't read any of that trilogy (by moi), you should still kind of get it :)
Day Seventy-Four: Look At Me by Carrie Underwood
She was perched on a chair as she watched a bunch of couples dance.
Emily, who was standing beside her, sighed. "Sometimes, I hate weddings," she commented pessimistically.
Spencer turned her head to look at her friend. "That's a really horrible attitude, Em. Why?"
She sighed and shrugged. "I don't know. They're just…not that great when you don't have anyone to share it with."
Spencer thought of it for a minute. "You'll find someone. I'm sure."
"Easy for you to say. You already have someone. And he's great," she announced with a small pout.
She looked over at the bride and groom, who were both talking to him. She wanted him to turn around and look at her, read her face, and realize all she wanted was a dance.
"Do you think he's your soulmate?" Emily inquired, breaking Spencer's reverie.
She thought of it. But she soon realized…there wasn't much thought to it. She would bet just about anything that he was the one. The seemingly-fictitious "one" which a person was born to love. That one. She was positive of it.
"Yeah, I do," she commented absentmindedly. She realized that she probably looked like some drooling idiot, but she didn't even care.
"And you don't think you're even a little irrational about this?"
She shook her head almost instantly. Sure, the thought crossed her mind, but she quickly dissuaded those thoughts.
Emily sighed melodramatically. "You two are so disgustingly cute that I can hardly stand it," she murmured.
Spencer shook her head in amusement. She didn't even notice her boyfriend walking over.
It wasn't until he was standing right in front of her that she noticed him standing there. She looked up and bit her lip.
"Can I have a dance?"
With anyone else, it would've been so easy to say no, and that she had been in the midst of a conversation. But she couldn't.
"We'll talk later, okay, Em?" she inquired.
Emily rolled her eyes kind-heartedly. "Go to your Romeo, Spencer," she urged.
Spencer took his extended hand with a small smile. It made her heart flutter a little in her chest. She put her arms on his shoulders as they danced in that high-school prom sort-of style.
Some friendly, fond memories came back to her. She remembered the first time he had held her. She felt a sensation so different than anything she had ever experienced coursing through her entire body.
"Did I tell you that you look gorgeous tonight?"
She didn't even try to contain her blush. The mere thought of him scrutinizing every inch of her body made her feel lightheaded. She didn't know how, but he made her feel like the only girl in the world.
"I think you did," she said quietly. "But I don't mind hearing it."
"Well, you look amazing," he assured her.
She rested her head softly on his shoulder. "I love you," she confessed quietly.
He bit his lip. He felt special whenever she said that.
"I love you, too."
I just realized that I don't think I told you guys what the song was today but oops.
AL3110: Okay, sure, in AL's eyes, her name is Claire. IDK I guess their daughters names are always gonna be Analeigh and Dianna to me :) That's just how I roll. Analeigh was actually taken from a different...thing I work on. Dianna just because I really love Dianna Agron/Quinn Fabray. And I really like that her name is spelt Dianna and not Diana. IDK why, just...I like it. My range is actually 3 and 1 note (ish?) thankyouverymuch. And no...I can't play every instrument ever known...my didgeridoo lessons got canceled and I broke my panpipes before I got the chance to play them...
spobypll98:That is really sweet! Thank you so much! This might be a hard question because I don't know, maybe you don't want to offend me, but...which one was your favourite? And really? I'm your favourite? There are so many great writers on here...thank you.
MizzIsTheFizz:Well...you'll meet Mowgli...eventually...if you put the pieces together...I'm sorry, I literally have no idea what you and I talked about yesterday without some kind of context. My memory is horrible. I'm saving it all for tomorrow when I have to pull some answers from thin air and remember stuff I didn't even learn in bio. Okay, blame me. Chloe was gorgeous yesterday.
Sarah: I think your spelling is kind of superfluous, but it just looks prettier. especially with all of the -ae-s, like I have synaesthesia, not synesthesia. Someone is anaemic, not anemic. You were once a foetus, not a fetus. And haemorrhage. It's superfluous in American AND Brit/Canadian. :) He, he, I beat you. I have 66 (including "Various Artists"). But I understand how you'd feel that way. I will admit I initially didn't like Lana too much when I first listened to her. I thought her voice really droned or whatever, but a lot of her more popular songs are what I'd consider to be her worst ones. Like, I really don't like Born to Die. Summertime Sadness is lyrically very pretty, but...heh. The chorus (which is like the only part everyone knows) is boring. Young and Beautiful is the exception. Ride and Blue Jeans are nice, too. But the ones seemingly nobody who owns her whole albums knows are the best. Like Gods & Monsters, Off to the Races, Million Dollar Man, Burning Desire, and Without You are some of my personal favourites. See? I use favourites. Even if I am American and I've only visited Cananada/England once.
The next one-shot is going to be...a very important song. VERY IMPORTANT. If anyone can guess what it's gonna be, you get a thousand gold stickers and maybe I'll put you in a one-shot. Maybe. But I'll be shocked if you guys get it right because I am being so broad right now. But go ahead. Take a guess. I really like it. It's by one of my faves...oops, I gave it away.
Off to study Bio...well, in all honesty, probably just stare at the textbook and choreograph dances in my heads...damn you, Dance Moms... -Kayson
