Apologies to everyone who read my last note. My computer wasn't working yesterday so I couldn't update like I said I would. And this took forever to be posted! For some reason, it wasn't working on me so I had to wait! Anyways I promised I'd make 2 chapters and I did! This being the first one so...yeah I'm talking too much...enjoy!

Megan's pov:

While me and Liz walked towards the beach, I began to think. 'Why can't I think of a word for the new song? Is it because I'm nervous? No, I rarely show any anxiety. Am I too tired? Hmm...maybe. After the finals, it kinda tired me out, what with the all-nighters I had to pull. Ugh, no it can't be. What is it!?' I stopped thinking once Liz stood facing me.

"Megan? Is everything all right?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine."

"No it's not. I can tell that you're concerned about something", Liz said with a stern look on my face.

"It's nothing to worry about, Liz! It's perfectly fine!", I said as I held up my hands in defense.

"Are you sure? It's not a boy is it?", she asked.

"What!? No! Why would you ask that!?", I blushed maddly.

"Hmm...Alright then. And I know that you are concerned about the song. Like I said, we'll finish it later. Just relax."

" 'sigh' You're right. And by the way, why'd you ask that I might've been concerned with a boy? Is it because you're concerned about one?"

"It's more like I'm concerned about a certain redheaded dimwit. 'sigh' I know that idiot is probably causing trouble at the moment", she said as she pinched the bridge of her nose. Huh. Kinda reminds me of Nathaniel.

"Oh, well okay then."

We continued walking until we saw the beach. I looked around to find my blue haired sister when I saw the pier. It had a bunch of food stands and keepsake shops lined together.

"Hey Liz, I'm gonna go towards one of those stands over there. I'll catch up with you and the others."

"Alright then. Protect yourself."

"Ha. I know."

I explored each and every stand that looked interesting and found someone familiar. He kinda looks like that convinient store man who was way too friendly.

"Hello! How may I help you today!", the man said excitedly.

"Uhhhh...What do you sell here exactly?", I asked politely.

"Oh-ho-ho! I sell all kinds of things! But just to be sure, I would like to ask. Are you a cop?" I shook my head quickly. "Good! Well, what would you like?"

"Actually, I'm just looking around. But when I need something, you'll be the first on the list."

"Oh! Such a nice girl! Okay goodbye!" After I waved goodbye to him, I bumped into a hard body. A...tall...tan...body...

The guy I bumped into turned to look at me with his green-ish/teal eyes. I swear, I could just look at that shade of green for days.

"Oh, hey there beautiful. Never seen you here before", he smirked as he saw the blush rose to my cheeks.

"Oh...uh...I'm just here for spring break with my friends", I said as I tried to hide the blush with my hands.

"Don't hide it. The blush makes you look absolutely gorgeous", the guy said as he pulled my hands in his. "My name's Dakota by the way. But you can call me Dake." I looked in awe as he kissed both my hands.

"Uh...I'm...um...I'm Megan", I said looking down. 'What is he doing to me?' He lifted my chin as his eyes bore into mine.

"Ah, don't be shy, Megan. I don't bite, unless you want me to", he chuckled. I swear, my face must look like a puffed up tomato now. "Listen, I gotta catch a wave right now, but I hope I'll see you here tonight. Tonight, the pier owners are gonna start the 11th Annual Spring Fling Breakout. It's gonna be sweet!"

"Oh..u-uh y-yeah. Yeah, I'll come!"

"Great, it's a date. Later hotness", he said and kissed my forehead. He walked away and took a board that was leaning against a stand.

When Dake was out of hearing range, I began to talk to myself. "Wow. That was just...wait, I have a date!?"

Things go by really fast in the blink of an eye without you realizing it.
