Megan's pov:

'Holy crap! I have a date! What should I do? Should I go tonight? Should I blow it off and tell the girls? Fuck! I forgot about the girls! Should I even tell them? Should I keep it a secret and go on the date anyway? Think Megan! Think! Damn it! I don't know what to do!' More questions kept popping in my head all because of that Dake guy! Before I knew what was going on, I bumped into another person. 'Jeez, if I keep bumping into more people, then everyone is gonna think I'm drunk.'

"Hmm? Oh Megan. Glad to see you back from the stands. Did you get anything from the stores?", Liz asked.

"What? Oh, uh, no."

"What's the matter? Is the song still bothering you? Because you look like you have a lot on your mind."

"I-It's nothing."

Liz's pov:

"I-It's nothing."

'Hmm, it doesn't seem like nothing. It's strange, but I had that same expression from what happened moments ago.'

*Flashback*

"Hey Liz, I'm gonna go towards one of those stands over there. I'll catch up with you and the others."

"Alright then. Protect yourself."

"Ha. I know." As Megan left towards a few convinient stands, I began to explore the beach. The whole place looked beautiful and relaxing. Especially how the light of the sun clashed with the sky's reflection from the sea. I kept admiring the view until someone's hand was waving infront of my face. I turned to where the hand belonged to to see a tanned boy holding a surfboard.

"Sorry to intrude, but are you lost? Because heaven is a long way from here", the boy smirked.

"Is that your best pick up line? Because all it did was put me to sleep", I said passively. All of a sudden, I saw the mystery boy become anxious from the look I gave him. I have to be clear, I detest overconfident flirts. Especially the stereotypic "hot" guys that show off their muscles through tight shirts or none with superiority complexes implanted in their hormone-filled walnut-sized brains.

"I-I u-u-uh...I'm sorry, it's just that...you're so beautiful that you made me forget my pick up line", he recovered.

"Uh-huh. Listen man, you sort of seem like a nice guy, but I'm not falling for lame excuses of jokes. So please carry on with your life because this has been nothing but a waste of both our times." I have to be blunt, I did kind of felt a little bad for the guy.

" 'sigh' I guess you're right. But can I atleast take you out tonight on a date? You know, for the Spring Fling here? It's the least I can do for you. Please?"

"Hmm...Well I suppose so. But what is this Spring Fling?"

"Oh! It's this awesome event that the pier has every Spring Break! It's basically a huge party the welcomes everyone!"

"Well then, I guess you have date tonight...uh...what is your name?"

"My name? It's Dakota. But everyone calls me Dake. And yours?"

"I'm Elizabeth, but you may call me Liz." I glanced towards the beach to see my dimwit sister getting into a fight with a bunch of guys while Jenni was sitting in the sidelines. "I'm apologize for cutting this conversation short, Dake, but I must attend to some important business right now." I walked towards the sand but turned towards him and waved goodbye.

*End Flashback*

'I feel as though I've made a mistake for making that date, but I think it's for the best for Megan to spend some time to relax on her own.'

"Well I'm not gonna push the subject further, so why don't you relax with your sister?"

"Well...uh...okay. Thanks for understanding, Liz", she said as she walked towards Jenni.

I looked towards the mile-long sea and began to relax.
