Piper and Percy had a bond unlike any other. They laughed, cried, and fought together. Confessed secrets unknown even to their partners. And pranked one another to an extent that the disturbances were often reported to Mr D.
They were so alike, that was a fact no one could deny. They'd both been troublemakers when they were younger, although that hadn't changed much. Both had had to change schools frequently due to "accidents". Each of them had their own little ways of annoying Annabeth, whether it was stealing part of her breakfast, or using a pouty seal face.
But the thing that had really brought them together was the statue Piper's dad had bought five years before. She'd always hated it, and had shown the son of Poseidon a picture of it on her phone out of sheer annoyance. However, she hadn't expected Percy to double over laughing, unable to control his unbelievable hysterics.
"What's it called?" He managed between snorts
"The Poker Player. My dad bought it from a lady in New York a while back, he says it's the 'pride and joy' of his collection." Piper answered "Why do you find it so funny, I mean, I get it, the thing's ugly, but I really don't think that reaction was necessary."
"The lady your dad bought it from was my mom. That statue is the product of my poor excuse for a stepdad, Smelly Gabe, eating my mom's meatloaf surprise."
