The diamond broke free from the wire. There was a spark, and then they were blanketed in darkness. Stella quickly rose to her feet, unable to see in the darkness. She could hear Alex's footsteps, and reached out, grabbing onto something.

That something being Alex's wrist.

Alex shrieked, higher than Stella thought the boy could. Stella instinctively let go, stumbling backwards and grunting as she hit the wall. Pounding footsteps told Stella that Alex was running upstairs.

Stella had more trouble than she thought she would, considering she couldn't see the stairs. Alex must have some freaky night vision or something, Stella thought, practically crawling up the stairs one her hands and feet.

As soon as she reached the first level of Red Fountain, she quickly learned that the power was out everywhere. The place was in a panic. Amongst the screams, she heard one boy yell "The weapons aren't working!"

The weapons aren't working? What does that mean? Did the diamond have something to do with the Specialist weapons? Stella was discombobulated, trying to find Alex, figure out what that diamond was, and trying to see all at the same time.

Stella, finally finding the exit, ran outside into the light to find Alex hopping onto a red bike. His head swiveled at the sound of her gasp, and his eyes widened.

"YOU!" his voice was different. He didn't sound like Alex. It suddenly all made sense to him, Stella was what grabbed him in the basement!

He quickly took off, praying the fairy wouldn't follow.

She didn't. She was too awestricken to move, staring up at the sky, blonde hair billowing behind her as she watched Alex fly off. She blinked, not wanting to cry.

"The girls," she finally whispered, transforming. "I need to tell the girls."

It was a few hours of travel, but Alex made it. He burst into a room where a woman laid in bed, pale face staring up at the ceiling. She had long brown hair that stuck to her sweaty face. She would have looked much like Alex if it weren't for her bright firetruck-red eyes, staring upwards emotionlessly.

"Mother," Alex sighed with relief, walking over. He laid the diamond on her stomach, and she sat up to look at it.

"What is this?" she whispered in a raspy voice.

"The diamond of Red Fountain. It's the source of their power, it's how they can make their weapons work. It can help us."

The woman smiled weakly, and Alex's heart pained for her. She raised a pale, shaking hand to rest on Alex's cheek. "My beautiful child. You are a genius, A-"

"Alex," Alex quickly said. "It's Alex now."

The woman's smile grew. "Alex."

"Alex!" a voice called as three women burst into the room. Icy, Darcy, and Stormy.

"Shhhh! Be quiet around mommy!" the adorable boy from the video bound into the room, whispering fairly loudly.

"Jiminy!" Alex held out his arms for his little brother. The boy leapt through the air, and Alex caught him with ease, kissing his plump cheek.

"Look at you, in their uniform and everything," Stormy ruffled Alex's hair. "We missed you, kid."

"I missed you guys, too," Alex looked around, beaming at the witches like the child he was. "I was able to get the diamond, but I didn't have time to research or anything. We ran out of time. Also, there's something else," he hesitated, bowing his head and lowering Jiminy.

"What?" Icy's voice dropped an octave, irritated.

Alex licked his lips and cleared his throat. "There was a fairy."

"GIRLS!" Stella burst into the dorm room, falling onto her hands and knees.

"Stella!" Bloom jumped in surprise at the sudden entrance. "We were wondering when you were going to get bac-"

"You were right," Stella fell back onto her knees, letting her head fall into her hands. "About Alex," she whimpered. "You were right?"

"He's evil?!" Aisha gasped.

"I-I saw him talking with...with..." Stella couldn't finished her sentence before bursting into sobs. Flora jumped into action, grabbing tissues and falling to the floor beside her friend, embracing her gently.

"Icy, Darcy, and Stormy," Techna finished for Stella solemnly.

"That jerk!" Musa pounded her fist into her open palm.

"Now wait, that doesn't mean we KNOW he's evil," Flora tried.

"Are you nuts?!" Musa poked herself in the head for emphasis. "All signs point to the fact that he's evil!"

"The real question is; why did he infiltrate Red Fountain? What does he want?" Techna asked.

Stella sniffled. "I saw him...steal..."

"STEAL?!" Bloom interrupted with a gasp.

"Steal a...diamond."

"A diamond? Why?" Musa urged.

"It powered the Specialist's weapons," Stella explained, gently patting her cheek with a tissue.

"So now the boys have no weapons?" Bloom groaned.

"What are we going to do?" Roxy asked. She thought back to talking with Alex at the party. He really didn't seem that bad at all...

"We're going to find him and stop him!" Bloom declared.

"So, how do we work it?" Little Jiminy asked, looking at the diamond on the table, barely able to see it without having to go on his tip-toes and peek over the edge of the table. Surrounding the table was Icy, Darcy, Stormy, and Alex.

"Unfortunately, I couldn't figure that out. I had to get out of there quickly, people were getting suspicious." He rolled his eyes at the glares he received. "I'm no actor! I couldn't have kept that act up for long!"

"And the Winx? You said one was there? Which one?" Icy asked.

"Stella," Alex sighed. "It's sad, she was the only one who didn't seem to think I was bad."

"Oh well, boo hoo, what if she finds us?!" Stormy said. "What do we do then?"

"Crush them," Darcy responded with a dark smile.

"No, we can't do that," Alex viciously shook his head at the older girls.

"They're the enemy!" Icy objected.

"I know you guys didn't get along well before-"

"Didn't get along well?" Darcy scoffed, cutting Alex off.

"Be nice to Alex!" Jiminy scolded. His scoldings were hardly taken seriously, considering the kid was less than six.

"But I don't want to see any unnecessary death, okay?" Alex finished, crossing his arms defiantly. The witches groaned.

"What about necessary death?" Stormy asked, smiling slightly. Alex sighed and rubbed his chin in thought.

"I have to approve of it."

Another groan.

"Hey, no objections! Am I understood?"

"You're getting back to your old self already, boss," Darcy chuckled.

Alex smiled, his child-like eyes sparkling. "That's right. We're going to save mom."

"Save mom!" Jiminy echoed with a cheer.
