Chap 75 The Disappearing Act
The Winchester kids were heading over to where the first couple was to believe to have disappeared.
"Ok so where do we look and how did they go off missing?" Lexi was asking her brothers.
"Well they went on a hiking trip." Sam was saying.
"All of them?" Asked Dean confusingly, while standing there.
"No. Two went on a boat." Sam said when he was explaining to them.
"So where do we look first?" Lexi was then asking them.
"I say we start with the hiking and maybe along the way we will see the missing boat." Sam said when he was trying to figure this out.
"Could it be a wendigo again?" She was then asking her brothers.
"I don't think so. No signs of anything." Sam was telling her.
" I so hate the woods." Lexi mumbled to herself.
"Well we will be there with ya." Dean told her.
She stood there giving her brothers a happy smile. They were taking what they would think they needed to check the woods out. Lexi was walking in between her brothers. While walking, Sam stopped and put his arm across his sister to stop her and protect her .
"Sam what's wrong?" Dean was asking his brother, when he saw him pushing Lexi behind him.
"I don't know, I kind of heard a noise." Sam was then telling Dean when he scrunched up his nose.
While Lexi was behind Sam, he could feel her gripping onto the back of his shirt. He knew she heard what he was saying.
"You ok?" Sam whispered to his sister making sure she was ok.
"Yyeah." She told him trying not to sound too scared.
"It's ok, Dean and I are here with ya." Sam said to her while they started walking again.
"I know. Thanks." She told her Sam and making sure Dean knew.
It was getting dark and Sam was holding his flashlight as well Dean. While they were walking they kept hearing the leaves rustle. Lexi was checking behind them.
"Ok so we have no signs of what we are dealing with, but we are in the woods anyway?" Dean was asking when he stopped and was wondering.
"Yeah basically." Sam told Dean back.
"Basically." Dean said when he mimicked his brother.
"Look, Dean. Our job is to save people. Maybe these people are alive." Sam was telling Dean.
"But how do we know what would kill or stop who is taking these victims?" Lexi was then asking when she stepped to the side of Sam.
"Well you always use rock salt, until we know what we are up against." Dean said to her.
They were walking around for a while Sam thought they should stop and make a campfire.
"Lets make a fire here." Suggested Sam, when he was putting his stuff down.
"Hey I um need to use the rest room." Dean said jokingly to Sam.
Lexi was sitting on a big rock waiting for Dean and watching Sam getting a warm fire going. Lexi had her hands around her arms. She was a bit cold.
"Hey did you bring another sweater?" Sam asked her when he was coming by her to sit.
"No. I need to get some." She told her brother.
While sitting there he placed his arms around her and brought her closer to warm her up more.
"You know its been a while since Dean-." Lexi started to say when she looked up at Sam with a scared look.
"Lets not think the worst yet." He told her when he was taking his cell out to try to call him.
She saw Sam make a face. She knew something was wrong.
"What?" She asked her brother.
"No cell service." He said sadly said to her trying not to scare her too much.
"So now what?" She was then asking her brother.
"First relax. "Sam said but he knew this wasn't good.
They were both getting up to and look for Dean. They were heading in the direction he left in. They knew not to call out to him cause of who ever took him but they were also afraid that he was hurt somewhere. Lexi was staying close to Sam.
"Sam we need to find him." She told her brother trying to hold back the tears.
"I know we do. DEAN!" Sam hollered out for their brother, but there was no answer.
They were looking for Dean for a few hours now and was heading back to the camp fire.
"So now what?" She asked Sam.
"Lexi. We don't have a choice but to wait til dawn." He told her when she sat down and covered her face in her hands and lap.
Sam was feeling bad. He went over to her and held her close. She could hear his heart beating fast.
"Were gonna find him right?" She asked her brother.
"Yeah we will." He told her when he moved her face to his shoulder and kissed her head.
He was scared for his brother's whereabouts, but he couldn't let his sister see or know that. They then had both fallen asleep.
