Summary Kikyou prepares her body for becoming Inuyasha's wife

Kikyou giggled as she poured the water down her back. Originally she might have come to the pool below the waterfall to purify herself after Inuyasha told her that she could not remove the bloody demon smell from her clothes or her body.

Once she discovered that Inuyasha watched her while she bathed, it became more for show than for purification. They had become so much closer since then. A stumbling kiss that became an affirmation of love. Words of love that became a promise of marriage.

Now they were with each other every single day. He watched over her as she played with the children and accompanied her on her youkai extermination missions. She felt so safe around him that she dropped her guard when she was with. Showing the side of her no one else saw.

Soon very soon, they would be so much more. No courtship. No love affair. They would jump right into marriage. Playing house Once Inuyasha was human, she could safely take him into the village. Safely take him into her bed Take him into her heart.

Finally she would be able to do with him the things that she longed to do for so long. To touch him. To hold him. To kiss him. To feel him inside of her. To be complete as a women. To give herself to the man she loved.

Today she was emboldened by her lust. By her desire. The inhibitions she had placed on her self since becoming a miko were bending to the point of breaking. Tomorrow could not come soon enough for her. Tomorrow everything would be revealed.

Slowly, she untied the juban and hadajuban until the only thing covering her breasts were her wrappings. Those she slowly and sensuously unraveled until nothing covered her upper body .She poured the water over her head so that it dripped down her breasts.

She smiled. The observer on the cliff was barely keeping his youki under control. Just a little push and she would be a woman today. The only thing holding her back was the Jewel. She had to be pure when she purified the Jewel tonight.

Only a pure Jewel would grant her the wish that she asked of Inuyasha. Only if the Jewel disappeared would she be free of her duties as guardian. Until then she could not cross the line that she desperately wanted to cross.

As she started to dry herself off, it occurred to her that Inuyasha might want her to shave her legs. Her legs had always been covered. The idea of shaving her legs never occurred to her until today Until Inuyasha gave his mother's lip rouge, she had never used that either.

She was feeling naughty. Inuyasha was almost her husband. He should have the right to see her in all her glory. She removed the koshi-himo Slowly the koshimaki dropped off her hips leaving nothing to the imagination.

She took the razor from within her haori and began to shave her legs. Just as she was about half way finished, she felt hands placing a robe around her shoulders and holding her in place. Turning she smiled as Inuyasha scowled at her

"What are you doing getting naked out here in the wild You don't know what kind of youkai might be attracted to a naked woman"

Kikyou smiled " I knew you were watching over me. I just wanted to look beautiful for you tomorrow"

"Keh. You are already beautiful. You don't need to do anything to make me love you or want you more."

Kikyou wanted to turn and cover him with kisses to show him how she felt Inuyasha held her in place and nuzzled her neck.

"Just let me hold you like this for now. There will be plenty of time tomorrow to do everything we have ever hoped for or dreamed of I want our first time to be perfect. As much as I want you right now and much as you want me right now. I won't ruin our chance for happiness by giving way to lust just to satisfy our desires"

Kikyou snuggled against him. She had picked the right man. She could not love Inuyasha anymore than she did right now. She whispered " I will wait, but I can't wait past tomorrow"
