Author's Note:I hope you guys like this one! I personally don't really know how to feel about it...

Day One-Hundred Twenty-Three: Never Let You Go by Colbie Caillat

"I promise to listen to you when you're being annoying and even when you're acting like an idiot before I pass judgment."

"And I promise that I won't be a jerk whenever you disagree with me…even though I'm usually right."

"And I promise that I'll overlook that comment, being as I'm the one who's always right; I came from a family of lawyers."

"I also promise to hurt anyone who decides to hurt you or scare off any guys who hit on you aggressively."

"And I feel so honored to watch this Best Friend Wedding," Hanna commented from aside.

Spencer held out her pinky teasingly. After a moment, Toby hooked his around her pinky.

"You two are so cheesy," Caleb commented.

"We just want to be best friends forever and ever," Spencer insisted. "It's not that weird."

"I don't know, Spence. I feel a little different now," Toby teased.

Spencer rolled her eyes. "Don't get all sappy with me, Cavanaugh," she warned.

"Just don't start making out or anything," Hanna said.

"That's my line!" Caleb protested.

"You guys are the worst," Spencer pouted.

Toby rolled his eyes in agreement. "I'm just here to protect Spencer and look over her shoulder for evil people. And people who eat all the marshmallows from the Lucky Charms," he said pointedly.

"They're the best part!" Hanna and Caleb exclaimed in unison.

"Yeah, and I'm his fake girlfriend whenever we go to a party and girls just start using him for his abs," Spencer said. "He's not ready for a relationship and neither am I."

"So basically…you're married," Hanna deduced.

Spencer furrowed her eyebrows. "Did you listen to a word I just said?"

"Yeah, but you're married."

Spencer stared at him for a moment after he pulled away. To say that was unexpected would be an understatement.

They'd been through everything together—middle school (that hell hole), high school (hell itself), and now college (hell on earth)—and also numerous relationships, heartbreaks, and life events. They'd been friends for so long.

"I don't want to mess things up between us. You're my best friend, Toby," she said quietly.

"Isn't love just friendship set on fire?" he asked.

She didn't want to lose control, though. But she also knew, from her many psychology courses over the last few years, that hiding your feelings was no good; all it did was cause resentment and anxiety and was more detrimental than anything else, at the end of the day.

"Okay, what about this," he proposed. "I promise not to let my feelings destroy the basis of our friendship. I promise that I'll always be here for you, first as a friend, and then as your boyfriend."

She thought for a moment. "I promise to let loose and let go of my fears for the sake of this relationship and our friendship. And I promise that I really do have feelings for you. But my friendship with you is more important."

He held out his pinky. "What do you say?"

She hesitated before wrapping her pinky around his.

"You two are the weirdest just-married couple I've ever seen," Hanna insisted.

"The ceremony was nice, but I wanted to do this in private, Hanna. So shut up," Spencer scolded before turning to her new husband.

She took both of his hands in hers.

"I promise to never let you go throughout everything; the sun could stop burning, the world could stop spinning, but my love for you is forever and it never ends."

"That's the definition of forever," Hanna interrupted.

"Hanna, eat an éclair and shut up," Caleb scolded.

"I'll love you through everything, too. When you feel like crying or you have a panic attack or even when you really want to murder me, I'll never stop loving you," he promised, ignoring Hanna and Caleb.

"I promise to get past my fear of falling in love."

"I promise to help you. And I promise to let you go when you need to fly, but you'll always be here in my heart," he promised.

They both held out their pinkies. After, they gave each other a simple kiss on the lips.

"I love you, Toby."

"I love you, too."

Review time!

Sarah: Please tell me you didn't drink the vodka...it's not good for your liver! And please tell me you've never had cognac cause that shite is 40% alcohol. And which story?

sarahschneider2012: Next time, I'll put a little excerpt at the bottom for all four (or maybe one each day, in order), and we'll see how the opinions change/stay the same. My only reservation about a next generation story is keeping things as canon as possible/ships. I know a lot of people would throw a fit if I didn't have Ezria/Emison. And I really hate this whole "Alison is Alive" thing, so I may make it canon to...3x24 or 4x12. Then again, the ship divide seems to be between Spoby and Ezria (and everyone seems to agree on Haleb, for the most part). I'll see. Thanks for the feedback!

MilaMizz: Personally, the 2nd option is my least favourite, just because I feel like canon gives you less liberties. I like option 3 the most (and I've developed it the most), but it's a bit of a racy topic, so I might sit on it for a while more. Funny you should mention that! My friend just came today...yay *sarcasm* And no, you weren't right, but it's funny, because as soon as I got to your review, The Sequin Song came on shuffle (719 songs). My iPhone is just weird...it plays me Marina's songs in the exact order they appear on EH, and the same exact song (i.e., the acoustic version of "Primadonna" right after the studio version)...it loves to troll me.

LittleBittyAbby: Thanks for the feedback!

tobyequalshottness: Thank you for the feedback, and I'll post a snippet from the first one tomorrow!

AL3110: Don't even talk to me. And *thank you* for your vote of confidence. That was internet sarcasm.

I've decided the easiest way to do this is post a snippet every day after today. Tomorrow will be the first snippet, which was "Revenge of the Little Liars".

Tomorrow's one-shot will be I've Got This Friend by The Civil Wars and it will ALSO feature Haleb, which I'm guessing we'll get more of on the show from now on! -Kayson
