Day One-Hundred Twenty-Six: Run Away by Megan & Liz

"What would it be like if we just ran away?"

She was met with silence. They'd discussed this before, not too long ago. But now, she was actually thinking about it. It felt like she was alone in the house, anyway; her parents wouldn't believe her about Ian. Melissa hated her. Her parents couldn't seem to tolerate her much more.

"Spencer—"

"No, I'm serious. I feel like…I could leave today," she announced. "And I could never look back."

He was silent, like he was really thinking about it. Sure, he had wanted to run away before. Several times. He'd have no problem with leaving Rosewood forever. But now, he had a reason to stay.

As though she could read his mind, she said, "I know you're only staying for me. But what if I don't want to stay anymore?"

He tried to convince himself that it was wrong; she thought she was ready, but she wasn't. She had no idea how much worse it would be on the outside. And what if this didn't work out between them? He could start over, but Spencer would have nowhere to go. He couldn't live with knowing he was responsible for her estrangement from her family.

"I don't need anything," she insisted. "I could leave with you right now."

And she was pretty sure of it, too. She could tolerate doing anything besides staying here. She'd write a book. It sounded like a bestseller. Fancy that; a tell-all about A, Rosewood, and Alison. Alison was an interesting person.

"I just know I don't want to stay here anymore. I'd love to see the world with you. I mean…my whole world is breaking, anyway. I just want to find where I belong."

She wrapped her hand around his.

"And I know this is where I belong," she added, gesturing towards his arms.

He remembered the first time that Spencer had talked about running away. He knew she wasn't ready then.

But he looked over at her and he could see it in her eyes. She was tired. She was sick. She didn't want to live like this anymore.

As he thought about it, the year was almost over, anyway. She surely had enough credits to graduate. Hell, Spencer was probably taking college courses already.

"Okay."

She looked stunned to hear his answer. "Really?" She hadn't even considered that he'd actually say yes.

He nodded. "But…you need to get your diploma first," he insisted. "We have to stay in Rosewood for that."

"I don't care. Just get me the hell out of this town as soon as it happens," she begged. He pulled her closer and she kissed him on the lips. "Everything is going to be alright as long as you're by my side."

And she knew it. She knew she could overcome just about everything, just as long as he was there with her.

I legit wrote this is 13 minutes, so if it sucks...oh, well. I didn't like this song all that much because I don't really like fics about them running away. IDK why I even chose this song in the first place. Oops.

Sarah:Thanks, doll, but I really think my writing is mediocre most of the time. I will admit that some of my writing is pretty good (#81- Haunted, #96- Into Me are two of the best things I've ever written), but otherwise, it's kind of...meh. People on Tumblr are probably better but whatever. I use too many...fluffy words. I'm the same! #twinning

AL3110: Oh, yeah, Theodora's FITFOFY. Hers is better than mine. Hers is actually original. I can't come up with something original to save my life. Like, really, I can't. But I do remember that I have a FITFOFY now. I'll probably never actually do it, but whatever. Have fun! You'll love it! Probably more than New York...but Kayson isn't in London! London is cooler than me, though...

sarahschneider2012: That's one of her good songs. Thanks!

LittleBittyAbby: Yeah, I don't really like them, either, but I liked my idea for the story, so I wrote it down. I just write down ideas as they come to me and I usually abandon them...poor stories...and thank you. I'm glad you liked it!

MilaMizz:I LOVE crackships. Some of my favourite PLL ones are Spanna/Spaleb/Tanna/Manna (Mona/Hanna), among others. Oh, I get you. Kind of like me with all of Emily's ships. I don't really care, as long as she's happy. I try to make Hanna humourous and it usually fails, but whatever works, right? I wished we got more Jaria. They'd be so cute.

tobyequalshottness: I'm really glad you liked it! And I hope the snippet lives up to your expectations...

Now a snippet from "How to Be a Heartbreaker":

He shook his head, sitting down next to her. "I think you're the one who's scared. You're scared that this could be real, and that you might disappoint me. But what you don't realize is that I've met all of Hanna Marin, and I love her," he insisted.

She looked over to him. "You do?" she asked, not attempting to keep any surprise out of her voice.

He nodded. He was stunned when she came over and kissed him softly on the lips. "I thought you don't kiss?" he asked.

She shook her head. "I don't," she answered, looking down. "But this is different."

They would've been able to bask in the afterglow. If not for the incessant buzzing of his phone.

"You should probably get that," she suggested.

Though he didn't want to, he complied. It was a text message from Toby. She could tell something was wrong when she saw his eyes widen.

"That's Toby. It's Spencer," he began.

Her heart dropped fifty stories at the sound of her best friend's name. "What about Spencer?"

"She overdosed."

That was a cliffie. Sorry if you hate me now.

The next one-shot is going to be Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift & The Civil Wars. The Civil Wars are better. Oops. Anyway, the next snippet will be from "Lonely Hearts Club", and then you can make up your mind about which one you like the most. -Kayson
