Prologue
Naruto: The Demon Jinchuuriki
On a dark night, screams were roaring out in a village surrounded by trees. This village was on fire and people were hiding as a massive nine tailed beast was fighting the soldiers of this village. These soldiers were shinobi, these master ninjas were trying to stall for the strongest among them, the fourth hokage.
As soon as he appeared, he disappeared taking the massive beast with him. The ninjas started to cheer that their leader appeared and was fighting the beast. One older ninja wasn't cheering knowing what must be done to save the village. "Minato, I should be the one who lays their life down for the village, I have lived long enough" the third hokage stated then started to run where a barrier appeared.
As the third ran he hoped he was fast enough to get there in time. Approaching the barrier, the third stopped outside of it knowing the dangers of touching the red flamed box. Sarutobi helplessly watched Minato die sealing the Kyuubi in his kid. "You fool, it should have been me" Sarutobi said.
Sarutobi walked over the dead body of the fourth and his wife and gave a small prayer before taking the fourth's child and ordering the nearby masked ninja to bring the body of the fourth and his wife to the hokage tower. Sarutobi sighed and started to head towards the Hokage Tower.
On his way there Sarutobi was listening to the villager's cheers and celebration. He also heard the rumors start to spread. From the death of the Minato, and more worryingly the involvement of the Uchiha in the attack of the nine tails. Sarutobi got to his office and started to think of a plan, it needed to be perfect after all Naruto's life depended on it.
Sarutobi said to his Anbu suddenly "Call in Itachi". As they left to get him Sarutobi said "I hope this isn't a mistake". Sometime later Itachi walked in and asked, "You need something of me sir". "Yes, you and your family will take care of Naruto" Sarutobi said holding out Naruto to Itachi. Taking Naruto Itachi stated "He looks at lot like Minato". "He should Naruto is Minato and Kushina's son, Itachi I will deal with the council, I need you to take care of him and make sure no one finds out about his heritage".
"What about what he holds, Lord Third" Itachi asked. Sarutobi sighed and said, "I figured people would figure out, but I didn't think it would take such a short time". "Rumors spread fast Lord Third" Itachi replied. "That's exactly why your family shall take care of him" Sarutobi reasoned. Itachi nodded and asked, "Anything else Lord Third". Sarutobi shook his head and said "No, that will be all Itachi". Itachi left and headed home with Naruto.
Itachi sighed as he walked home with a blonde baby "Mom, dad, I am home" Itachi said as he walked in. Fugaku and Mikoto carrying Sasuke came to see why the Hokage called Itachi out suddenly. "What" Mikoto started to say then saw the baby and paused before yelling "WHAT THE HELL. Is that your kid how did you even get a kid, you didn't tell me you had a child, you're still a child how did you have a kid".
Itachi cut her off her insane rambling "He is not mine, the Hokage is making us take care of him due to the rumors starting to spread around". "I see, I will be having words with that crazy man" Fugaku said as they walk forward to see the blond baby "This kid is Minato and Kushina's is it not" Mikoto asked. "Yes, but how did you find out" Itachi asked. "Itachi did you forget? Kushina and I were best friend, I knew she was due soon" Mikoto said
"So, Naruto, that a good strong name for young boy" Fugaku brought up. "Why say that honey" Mikoto said. "Maelstrom is a strong name" He replied. "Or it could mean fishcake, you remember how Kushina was about her ramen" She said. "What are we going to do with him " Mikoto asked. "Well i'm going to train mother, and Naruto watching" Itachi said as he walked out.
"Ok watch this Naruto" Itachi said putting Naruto down. Naruto giggled as Itachi went over and pulled out some shuriken. Itachi closed his eyes imaging his targets. Then as the magical leaf fell, he sprung to action throwing his shuriken like a mad man, he threw them so fast most chunin wouldn't be able to even see them. As Itachi came down he saw all his shuriken had hit his targets. He heard noise near Naruto, so he throws a kunai at the noise and out came three civilians. "Why are civilians at a training ground" Itachi said in his monotone voice. One stepped up 'The ringleader' Itachi thought.
"We are here to kill this little demon" He said as he brought out a knife. "Idiot, if he was a demon, he would have already killed you" Itachi said grabbing Naruto faster than they could see. "No, the fourth sealed all of his powers away and locked him into a baby's body, we refuse to let this chance pass us by. Konoha will be the only village to kill a demon" A women said. "Leave or I'll kill you on the grounds of you trying to murder an innocent child" Itachi said activating his Sharigan. "Fine we'll leave, you damn demon lover but be that demon will die" the ringleader said as they left.
Itachi thought 'of course it wasn't going to be that easy'. Itachi nearly used shunshin but decided a baby's body might not be ready for that type of speed. Itachi decided to run instead. As he ran, he noticed Naruto seemed to be smiling. 'of course, his dad is the fastest man alive or was, no wander he loves going fast, I'll definitely make you really fast Naruto' Itachi thought.
"Lord Third we must kill that demon" Itachi heard as he walked up. "NO and that's final. Now Get Out" Lord Third replied. As the group left, they saw Naruto and glared at him. Itachi walked in, "Ohh Itachi what are you here for" Lord Third brought up. "Two things, A, why do these people hate Naruto, and B, after The Kyubbi's attack we need at the manpower we need so why take me off" Itachi questioned.
"A, they think Naruto is the demon that he contains, and I haven't told them who his dad is, and B, you aren't off Anbu you will have missions, but when you do your mom can look after Naruto for you, I can't change people's mind but I'll be damned if Minato's son doesn't become a great ninja" Lord third replied. "Thanks for clearing that up, I'll be on my way and I promise to do my best to make him the best he can be" Itachi said as he started to walk out.
Itachi looked down at Naruto and smiled. As Naruto smiled back Itachi couldn't help but say "I swear to make you the greatest ninja you can be".
