James and his mother stayed in the same tent. They missed Ali, and it was hard to uplift it.
But the other survivors were doing well. Flourishing in this alien place. James was part of a hunting team, and they brought
home birds, fruit and what they can find that's edible and safe. The kids tell stories around the fires, teens hanged out around each others tents.
and adults, well do adult things. But every night they wonder if something will happen to them.
Jackson would talk with James about guns, coins, and school. Anything to help him with his loss.
In the next few days Ali slowly recovered from her injury and concussion.
"So the mountain pours it out, kinda like a bucket with a bunch of holes?"
"Yeah. And Its our most important resource. Let me show you around our temple."
From his room, to the small library, guard posts, and then the sacred pool.
"This is Chi? I expected something else."
"Well, It is small, but don't be fooled. This small orb can cause great destruction in the wrong hands."
"Like it almost did with us Lion?"
The two looked to see Scorm.
"Who's that?"
"Scorm, king of the Scorpion tribe. is tribe and the other two used to be bad, but their all good now."
"You made peace?"
"Yeah. He comes to talk with my father sometimes since him and Spinlyn don't get along well still, and no one really understands what Braptor says."
The three spoke some, with Ali full of questions. That's when LaGravis came.
"Nice to see you again Scorm."
"It is to see you too."
As the two kings talked, Laval stared hard at Ali's clothes.
"What?" Ali said blushing a bit from his staring.
"Well, your appearance can use some work."
Ali looked at her clothes, arms and hair. She was a mess. Cut up, dirty, torn clothes that revealed her under clothes and bear skin, long hair in knots.
"Guess your right."
"Ok. I'll find Plovar."
"Wait, Who's Plovar?!"
"Oh, I'm sooooo glad you got me for this kind of work!"
Ali knew Laval was getting someone who knew about fixing up torn up looks from hair to covering cuts to not raise questions.
But not a tiny, talking, BIRD!
She looked at Laval as if saying, "Seriously?"
Laval shrugged giving a childish smile.
"I'll leave you to your makeover. I'll be back in five minutes, ok Plovar?"
"Oh, that's PLEANTY of time to fix the basics!"
"Oh help me..."
