Phillip paused and turned his head to the doctor who was smiling.

"Doctor!" Phillip yelled as he rushed toward him. "My sister!"

"Relax… your sister made it through the surgery without losing too much blood. Although, I am afraid I have to share a bad new," The doctor frowned.

"What is it…?"

"It seemed like your sister had hit her head during the accident and damaged the cerebral cortex. Even though she is alive after the surgery, she might be in a coma for a long time. We can't predict when she will wake up. There is a high possibility that it will take years or maybe even forever."

Behind the gentlemen, Mrs. Kamiru burst out with laughter. She paused and glanced at Phillip with her sinister smile. Her high heel clacked against the floor as she walked up to Lillian's brother with a grin on her face.

"It looks like your sister can barely escape her death. You heard the doctor, she has a high chance of being in a coma for a great period of time," She said.

Phillip was getting more irritated with this woman. He put on his smile and tested her temper.

"Oh. You know, Mrs. Kamiru, my sister like to challenge herself. She always takes the low possibility she gets," Phillip replied.

Without saying another word, the woman stormed out of the hospital.

"Hey! Don't walk too fast, those high heels will break!" Phillip added.

Cam frowned and asked the doctor, "What can we do for her from now on?"

The doctor let out a sigh and replied, "I cannot say anything more than telling you to watch over her and wait. From now and on, everything is up to her."

"Oh."

"Also, she will be delivers to room 210 in about ten minutes. Please have one relative be there to take care of her," The doctor said before he left to another room.

Phillip patted Cam's shoulder and said, "You need to go home and rest, Cam."

"I can wait here until morning. It's okay," Cam replied.

Phillip shook his head and smiled.

"No. You need to go home and go to school the next morning. I will not allow my sister to marry someone who skips school. Got it?"

Cam nodded slightly and returned to the mansion. The next morning, he arrived at BlueBell High which strangely had a lot of chattering. The new of Lillian's accident was spread throughout the school.

"Dude, have you heard? That stupid girl got in a car crash! Someone told me she was hit by a truck while running to the street. She's so dumb!" A girl gossiped.

"That girl got a really stupid hair cut the other day. She should've just shave all her hair off!" A boy said.

Then Nancy stood in front of the water fountain and she gave everyone her dead glare.

"HEY! Quit this chattering and gossiping! If you hate that girl so much then shut up! You're acting no less than a stupid and ignorant bitch! Just sit down and eat all of the cake that contained your stupid jealousy!" Nancy yelled. Her voice was loud enough to be heard through the whole school.

"Nancy! Sop acting so high and mighty! When did you join that ugly girl's side? You used to bully her, too!" A girl shouted.

"I admit that I hated her in the beginning. However, she stood up for me even when I was mean to her. I don't like to owe someone a favor. I'm standing up for her this time!"

"Stop acting like you're above all of us. You're ugly like her too!" A boy shouted.

Nancy leered at the boy and smiled. She replied, "Oh? Is that so? Now I know who will be the first boy on the list of who I will bring to the hospital."

"That enough!" Ash shouted from a side. He put his hands inside his pocket and stood in front of the water fountain, where he faced all of the students. "If I hear another conversation about Lillian. I will knock that person out of their consciousness. If you want to be safe, shut your mouth since I have not seen any of you doing any goods for her!"

He took a glance at Cam and chuckled as if to mock him in some way.

"But that rule has an exception of you. Right, Cam?"

"And you, too, Ash," Cam replied.

Ash slowly walked toward Cam with a grin on his face. He looked different than normal. The top of his shirt was unbuttoned, exposing a part of his chest. His tie was loosened around his neck and he wore a black glasses.

"So how's Lillian, my dearest best friend?" Ash asked.

Cam tried to ignore his best friend's gaze. He didn't want to tell him about Lillian's condition. It would only make the both of them feel worse. He bit his lip and forced himself to look at an unfamiliar person in front of him.

"She's in a state of coma. The doctor said she has a high chance of not waking up," Cam replied.

He watched Ash clenching his hand into a fist. Everyone else sure was quiet. Their attentions were on the intense atmosphere between the two best friends.

Ash laughed and said, "Stop joking around Cam! Did she wakes up from her accident yet? I want to go visit her today."

Cam remained his straight face. He knew Ash was desperately trying not to believe anything that was being said. He knew Ash was hurting more than he was.

"I will not joke about that, ever."

Ash let out a small chuckled and looked at his best friend. "Well then, Cam. I guess the rule include you, too!"

With that being said, Cam felt a painful punch digging through his cheeks. He watched a different Ash screaming and shouting at him. His voice was so loud it echoed.

"You didn't do anything good for her! You shouldn't talk about her either! You didn't save her! You deserve to be in the hospital, not her!"

To Cam, every word Ash had spat was true. Lillian shouldn't have been the injured person. He wasn't able to do much to help her. He only brought her pain ever since he met her. Ash walked toward Cam to give him another punch until Georgia tackled him from nowhere.

"Please stop!" Georgia begged. She hugged Ash so tight she almost lost her strength. Tears were flowing from her cheeks.

"Let me go, Georgia! I have to give him a good lesson!" Ash demanded.

"Get out of Ash. You're not Ash! Stop possessing him! Get out! Get out!" Georgia cried.

Ash turned to look at her and furrowed his brows. He pulled Georgia arms away to escape her embrace.

"What are you talking about? I am Ash!"

"No you're not! You're someone else! The Ash I know would never be like this. He would never wear his uniform like this. He would never talk rudely to anyone. He would never threaten to hurt anybody! He would never punch his best friend! He would always be kind to other! You might carry his face but you're just someone evil inside! So please! Give me the old Ash back. I miss him!"

Ash widened his eyes when he listened to Georgia's words. She was sobbing and crying so much her eyes were swollen red. He couldn't believe what kind of person he had become, someone who hurt his friends. He couldn't help but feel so miserable with Lillian's accident. She was on the edge of dying and he wasn't able to do anything. He felt so ashamed to be such a useless fool.

"I'm sorry… I didn't mean to be a bad guy…" Ash murmured. He fell to his knee and covered his face with his hands. For the first time ever, he couldn't hold up the tears that wanted to spill.

Georgia hugged him, letting his face rested on her shoulder.

"It's okay, Ash. I know your heart had endured a lot of pains. But I will assure you that everything will be okay. It will get better," Georgia whispered.

"No, it's not. Liar."

"I'm not lying to you. I'd never do that. Just give yourself times to heal. Eventually, everything will be normal again. Trust me."

Ash gazed into Georgia's eyes for a moment and nodded his head. A little smile replaced on his lip.
