Author's Notes: A little bit foreshadowing to the future c:

After Ash had brought back his senses, he apologized to the whole school and to Cam.

"Sorry, buddy. I got a little lost in my mind there…" Ash murmured.

Cam rubbed his cheeks and grinned.

"You sure did give me a good smack in the face but all is forgiven," Cam replied.

The two best friends shook hands and walked back to their class. Many months passed until the day of graduation. Everyone spent the last moments with their friends and then went off to a different path. Four years had gone by since Lillian's accident. Everyone she was closed to would visit her every week, waiting for her to wake up from her deep sleep. The news of Cam's and Laney's upcoming marriage spread across the town, inviting new guests for their wedding. Though, the soon-to-be married couple each had a different opinion of their approaching event. Cam wasn't as jubilant as Laney. He had been only hoping for Lillian's imminent waking. As for Laney, she was so thrilled about marrying Cam. She had waited for this moment since her childhood. However, something was still bothering her. It made her angry whenever Cam used up his time to go visited Lillian instead of spending time with his fiancée. Sometime, Laney just wished that girl would vanish from this world, like she never existed. She stared at the mirror displayed in front of her and grinned at her reflection.

"Vanish… Goodbye… Lillian…" Laney mumbled.

The next day, Laney snuck inside the hospital where Lillian was staying. She discovered her location and secretly went into her room. She stared at the vulnerable girl that could die at any moment.

"I hate you. You know that? Why must you have to show up and steal Cam away from me? I hate you. I hate you. I hate you!" Laney mumbled.

She put her hand on Lillian's face until a voice called out.

"Hey Blondy! What cha doing there?"

Laney turned to find a boy leaning against the wall. He had a light brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt and a brown short. From the look of it, she was probably three inches shorter than him.

"N-nothing!" Laney stammered.

Suddenly, the boy let out a short high-pitch scream. He inhaled and exhaled loudly over and over again. When he calmed down, he began to speak.

"This is a hospital! Not a Halloween party!" Phillip stated.

Laney gasped and yelled, "You're rude!"

Phillip gave off a little laugh then he gazed back at the blonde girl. He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall.

"So tell me Blondy, what were you going to do to her?"

"Nothing of your concern! Who are you anyway?"

Phillip exhaled through his mouth and put his hand in his pocket.

"Ahh… you know, I'm going around the hospital to beg for money. I ran out of cash," He answered.

"So you're a beggar, huh?"

"Exactly!"

"Well… I can guess that from your clothes," Laney stated. Then she grinned as if an idea had cross over her mind. She walked toward Phillip and whispered in his ear, "I'll give you one million gold if you get rid of that girl for me."

The boy searched into her blue eyes with his gaze. She wasn't joking around. He smiled at her and shook his head.

"Nah…That's a little bit too low. Can you go any higher?" Phillip asked.

Laney glared at him with disgust. She let out a sigh and nodded.

"Fine. I'll double it."

Yet, Phillip shook his head again and replied, "Times that by fifty then I might consider it."

"What? You are such a greedy beggar!" Laney barked. She stomped her feet on the ground and glared at Lillian.

Without any notice, she was pushed against the wall by the boy and he smiled at her. He grasped her arms tight to restrict any chance of her escaping.

"Money can't always be the prize, you know?" Phillip whispered.

"Then what do you want?"

"If you give yourself to me, I'll get rid of her for you."

Laney widened her eyes. Her heart was pounding so fast she couldn't control her breathing. Offering herself to some strange beggar? No way she would do that if he was the last person on earth.

"Get away from me! I'm married!" Laney shouted.

Phillip puffed up his cheeks as if he was trying to hold in his laugh. It didn't matter anyways since he burst out laughing in the room. He wiped his tears and stared at the blonde girl.

"Who on earth is out of their right mind to marry you?" Phillip said. "I wouldn't even date you if someone paid me billions of gold."

"That's rude coming from a beggar like you!" Laney glowered at the boy.

He stopped laughing and looked at Laney with his dead serious eyes. The atmosphere became so much heavier than before.

"So tell me, Blondy. Why did you want to get rid of my sister?"

Laney crossed her arms and avoided his gaze. Half of her felt terrified that all this time, this so called a beggar was Lillian's brother. The other half was too shock to say anything. Then again, why was her heart pounding so much? She had never been so nervous and embarrassed in her whole life. He was the first to make her felt that way.

"Earth to Blondy! Hello?" Phillip yelled.

"What?" Laney snapped.

"Don't you 'what?' me! Answer my question."

"Fine. I hated her. She ruined my life! She stole something from me!"

"Lillian would never do that," Phillip replied.

"She stole Cam away from me!"

Phillip studied the blonde carefully. He noticed how much make-up she applied on her face. Her long and fake eye lashes, her pink eye shadows, her red lip stick, and her eye liner; those things bothered him.

"Oh? You know Cam, too? He came here every day to visit my sister," Phillip said.

"That's all he ever does! He was supposed to be my fiancé!" Laney replied.

Phillip exhaled. He shook his head softly and pulled out a sealed plastic bag in a rectangle shape. He gently opened it and pulled out a wet towel.

"Lillian can't steal Cam away from you. He was not a part of your possession in the first place," He murmured.

Laney felt speechless as the boy reached the wet towel to her lip and began wiping off her lipstick.

"But I had not walked in your shoe to know how you felt. I guess I will be in despair as well." Phillip continued. "Then again, you have to think about this; getting rid of someone you hate will never be your answer. If you love someone but he does not love you back no matter how much you tried. You two were not meant to be. Move on from him."

Laney pushed Phillip's hand away and spoke, "Don't talk like it's an easy thing to do."

"Looking at your face, I think I can move on pretty quick." He put the towel back to the girl's face and began wiping off the foundation. Suddenly, the blonde slapped his hand away.

She shouted, "Stop it! What are you trying to do?!"

"Wipe off those make-ups! I hate girls who wear them! They're seriously terrifying."

"You are the worst person I have ever met!"

"Hey! Please remain quiet. We are in the hospital. Thank you," A nurse alerted.

'S-sorry," Phillip and Laney apologized.

For a moment, Phillip saw Lillian's finger twitching from the corner of his eyes. He threw the towel to Laney and ran to his sister. He observed the patient carefully. Her fingers twitched several more times. Her eyes were slowly blinking as she tried to get use to the light.

"Lillian..?" Phillip murmured. He watched her pushing herself to sit up.

Millions of words could not explain how happy he was. For the past four years, his sister was finally awaked from her long coma.

"Lillian! You're awake! I am so happy!"

Lillian wiped her eyes and tilted her head. She replied, "What is Lillian? What do 'happy' means?"
