I was currently in a state of being half awake and half asleep. I forcefully opened my eyes, stretching my legs from their bent position they'd been in all night to straight out. I felt an arm around me, an arm that definitely wasn't mine. Memories of last night slowly came back. Austin and I did fall asleep together but we definitely didn't fall cuddling. Oddly I didn't mind that his fairly muscular arm is currently wrapped around my middle, pulling me closer to his chest. The feeling of his cotton shirt against my bare shoulder was something else. He kept me warm and made me feel protected. He must still be asleep otherwise he wouldn't have kept his arm there in consciousness. But now that I'm awake I shouldn't let this continue. It's wrong of me to technically cuddle with him like this when he is still with Cassidy. Why does everything that's so wrong have to feel so right?

I carefully removed his arm from my body, making sure to be gentle as he was asleep. He started to move his body, probably almost awake now just as I set his arm by his side. I turned onto my other side so I could face him again. Just as I suspected he was starting to awaken. I watched as he brought his hand up to a tired eye and rubbed away the sleep. His hair was a bit messy and out of place from his sleep but I quite liked it. It was probably the cutest thing I'd ever seen. I watched as his eyes opened, his long lashes fluttered and familiar brown eyes met with mine.

"Good morning." I smiled.

"Morning." He smiled back.

Even at the earliest of hours his smile made my heart melt.

But then I realized it wasn't the earliest of hours.

"Austin what time is it?" I asked, panic rising in my voice.

I watched him roll over to check his phone for the time.

"Nine twelve." He groaned.

Great. We are exactly twenty seven minutes late for breakfast.

As if on cue or something a loud knocking was at the door.

"Ally? Do you have any idea what time it is?" yelled Megan from the other side of the door.

Sadly, yes.

Oh god. She can't see Austin in here!

"Uh." was all Austin could say.

"You need to hide!" I whispered.

"ALLY!" she shouted again.

"Uh, coming." I frantically shouted back.

I pushed Austin to get up, but I accidentally pushed a little too hard because he fell out of the bed and onto the floor with a loud thump.

"Um, ow." He grimaced.

"Sorry." I whispered.

"Ally, are you ok?" she asked, talking about the loud thump.

"Where am I supposed to hide?" he asked.

"Get under the bed!" I told him.

Wasn't my best idea, but it was the first. And in case you hadn't noticed we were on a time crunch right now.

"Hurry!" I exclaimed as he made his way under the bed.

He just barely fit under there. I put some blankets on the floor in front of him just in case. The last thing we needed was for us to get caught.

"OK you have three seconds to open this door or I'm breaking it down myself." She threatened slightly annoyed.

When I say quickly I'm talking two seconds, and I quickly skimmed the room before going to open the door.

"Hello." I greeted, trying to be as casual as possible but failed miserably.

"Um, hi. Do you realize breakfast was thirty minutes ago? It's basically over now." she talked to me as if I were ten years old right now.

"Yeah, I kind of slept in." I replied.

"I can see that." She said, gesturing to my pajamas.

And what was that loud noise?" she asked.

"Oh that? I uh, just fell out of bed by accident." I lied.

"Are you ok?" she asked with wide eyes.

"Totally fine!" I quickly answered.

"And have you seen Austin at all?" she asked.

Oh god.

"No, why?" I asked trying to be as calm as possible.

"He wasn't at breakfast either so I had to listen to annoying Cassidy-"

"Yep. Nope. Haven't seen him."

I interjected before she could say something a lot worse. Austin had no idea that Megan absolutely hated her.

"Ally, are you really ok? You're acting really strange. Are you getting sick or something?" she worried.

She put the back of her hand against my forehead to feel for a fever or something. I'm definitely love sick, but other than that I should be clear.

"Yes, I'm completely healthy so stop worrying." I said as I removed her hand from my head.

"You better hurry or you're going to get in trouble." She reminded.

"I know. I'll meet you and Bea at classes ok." I told her.

"Ok. See you soon then." She said hesitantly before walking away.

I waved at her for a maybe ten seconds before quickly shutting the door. I leaned my back against it and let out a huge breath of relief.

"That was so close." I said aloud.

"Can I come out now?" he asked.

"Yes." I laughed.

"This is not a laughing matter." He scolded as he wiggled his way out.

"It kind of is." I laughed again.

I flopped on to my bed, back first.

"Do you think she suspected anything?" he asked, joining me on the bed.

"I don't think so." I answered.

"Well that's one way to start the morning." He said lightly.

"I'll say." I giggled.

I turned my head to the side to look at him. Gosh he is so cute. Oh what I'd give for him to be mine.

I noticed a few red marks on his fore arm and just above his elbow. It looked like the beginning stages of bruises.

"Did I do this to you?" I asked, referring to his little (or rather big) fall.

I reached out to touch one of them with my finger tips and he winced in slight pain, sucking in a sharp breath.

"Yeah it's nothing. They'll go away in a few days." He tried to reassure.

"I'm sorry." I told him, sincerity filling my voice.

"Ally, I'm ok. Really." He said.

I took his arm in my hands and slowly brought it close to me. He didn't pull away but he did look confused. I couldn't tell him, so I'd show him. I placed my lips lightly just above his wrist where the first of the red marks started, hoping to sooth his tender skin with a soft kiss. His arm was so close to me that my lashes brushed against his skin, slightly tickling the hairs on him. I slowly worked my way up, making sure to give lots of tender love and care to each mark. I could hear his breath grow heavy and I felt his body tense more and more with each kiss I placed on him. I finished at his tricep, slowly removing my lips from the last red area and looked back up at him.

"Better?" I asked.

"Better." He smiled.

"I should probably get going. We're already in enough trouble." He said.

"Right. I suppose so." I replied a little sad.

We both got up from the bed and I helped Austin collect his things from last night. That boy sure could carry a lot in just his arms.

"I think that's everything." I said.

"Yeah it is." He replied as we walked to the door.

We stepped outside for the first time that day.

"Yesterday was really amazing. Thank you." I gushed.

"No need to thank me. And yesterday was probably the most fun I've had since we've gotten here." he smiled.

I pulled him in for a hug. His big hands instinctively fell to waist, holding me safely in his arms. I had to stand on my tippy toes just to reach my arms around him. I swear he grows an inch taller every day!

"I don't know what I'd do without you." I said into his chest.

"I don't know what I'd do without you either." he smiled.

I pulled away sooner than I would have liked.

"I'll see you later ok." He told me.

"Definitely." I nodded.

I waved him goodbye as he started the walk back to his cabin. But he probably only made it a couple feet before turning back around. I was just about to shut the door when he yelled my name.

"Ally!" he shouted as reproached me.

"Yeah?" I asked in my door way.

He waited till he was right in front of me before saying what he needed to say.

"I forgot something." He said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"This."

Without warning he leaned in awfully close and placed a quick kiss on my cheek.

Austin Moon just kissed me.

AUSTIN MOON JUST KISSED ME!

Well not on the lips, but on a place that's pretty close.

Boy his lips were something else. They were soft on my skin, gentle and caressing and so smooth. They were warm like everywhere else on him and were everything I've ever possibly imagined them to be. I could only imagine what they'd feel like against my own. My cheeks lit up in a major blush like fire to a match stick. My skin suddenly felt hot and my heart probably combusted from beating so fast. I stood there dumbfounded, unable to move. I had this extremely giddy smile creep its way onto my face and I was speechless.

He didn't say anything else. He just gave me a wink and flashed one of his classic Austin Moon smiles then went on his way again. I stood in the doorway for a few minutes, frozen in shock. All I could do was stand there and smiled like an idot as he walked away. I didn't tell myself to move until he was long gone.

I stepped back inside and forced myself to get ready for the day. Oh god I thought as I got dressed. That just actually happened. I brought my hand up to touch where his lips had once been not too long ago and just as I had hoped, the presence of his lips did in fact still linger. Every time I replayed the scene in my head it created a rush bigger than the one before. There is no trying to deny it anymore. He has to like me back at least a little bit. He wouldn't have come back just to give me a kiss on the cheek if he didn't.

A knock at the door interrupted my thoughts.

Who could it be this time? Oh let's face it, it's probably Austin because knowing him he actually did forget something. I went to open the door expecting it to be him. I mean who else would be knocking at this time of day?

"Seriously Austin you ought to keep better track of your- Cassidy?"

I stopped midsentence realizing that it was not Austin at the door, but it was in fact Cassidy.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

We were barely friends so I'm not sure as to why she would be knocking at my door.

"Listen Ally I want to make this fast." She said in a bitter tone, one that wasn't her usual self.

"Oh kay?" I said confused.

What was she talking about.

"I want you to listen carefully and closely because I'm only going to say this once. You need to stay away from Austin." she warned hastily.

"May I ask why?" I'm really confused right now.

"Oh don't play dumb with me. You may be able to fool Austin and everyone else but you can't fool me. I tried to be nice, really, but sadly it's come to this. I have eyes and ears all over this camp, Ally. I know all about your little flirting game with him at the beach night, I know about your almost kiss at the lake, how you two snuck out last night, that he slept over, and I know all about that pathetic kiss he gave you that happened ten minutes ago. Enough is enough, Ally." She spat those last words.

"Cassidy, we are JUST FRIENDS. Seriously. I don't know how much clearer I can be. You are getting worked up over nothing and have the wrong idea." I tried to explain.

"Sure doesn't look that way to me. So this is your final warning. Stay away from Austin or else." She threatened.

"Or what?" I laughed like it was some sick joke.

"I'm sorry but when did this become an episode of today's hottest tween drama show. Last I checked we aren't twelve so stop acting like it. Austin is a person not some toy. I can hang out with him if I want. And who are you to tell me what I can and can't do?" I defended.

"You stay away or I'll make the rest of your time here a living hell and I'll make sure Austin and this whole camp knows about your pathetic and obsessive little crush on him. Those aren't even the worst of what I can do to you. Do I make myself clear?" she asked.

"Yeah, you do. Now can you please get out of my face before I slap your cheap nose job right off?" i threatened back.

"Whatever. Just know where the line is, and don't you even dare try to cross it or you'll get what's coming to you. Tell anyone about this and you won't make to the end of these two weeks."

Those were her last words before walking away to who knows where.

What just happened? Did Cassidy, the girl I thought who was so nice and friendly and genuine, actually just threaten me? Wow. I can't believe I'm saying this but Megan was right. She was right all along. I fell for her phony personality like everyone else, including Austin.

Oh my god, Austin!

What would he say if he knew? Oh who am I even kidding he likes her way too much, he'd never believe me. And it's not like I can tell him anyways because I just agreed to stay away from him! What have I gotten myself into?

So what do I do now? Megan and Bea are expecting me and I can't tell any about this. You heard what she said. God. I'm actually screwed. How could today go from being the best possible day to the worst in a matter of minutes? I have no clue what I'm going to do but I do know I can't let her win.

I headed to my first activity of the day where Megan and Bea were waiting for me. I arrived within a few minutes and took my seat next to them.

"Hey." I greeted.

"Hey." Bea greeted back.

It felt like ages since I'd talked to them, but it'd really only been two days.

"So what are we making?" I asked.

"Shadow boxes. Now are you going to tell us about your date with Austin or what?" Megan asked.

Well at least she was straight up and to the point.

"It was not a date. Just simply a hangout day between friends." I corrected.

"Just spill already!" Bea exclaimed.

"Keep it down!" I warned in a hushed voice.

"Anyways yesterday was amazing! It started with him bringing me breakfast in bed, which was really good. We stayed in my bed all morning long until afternoon hit." I started.

"You and Austin, in bed, TOGETHER?" Megan gasped.

"Ew, gross! Not like that. We just talked while be in the comfort of a bed. You guys are sick." I mumbled that last part to myself.

"What else happened?" Bea asked.

"I did something that I really shouldn't have, but did it anyways. Probably the most sinful teasing I've ever done." I admitted.

"Oh god." Megan blurted out.

"Ikindoflethimseemewithoutmyshirton." I said really fast and super quiet.

"Oh my god, Ally!" They gasped in unison.

"I know!" I groaned in agreement.

"But did it work?" Bea asked out of curiosity.

"Totally. He practically drooled his mouth dry and broke his jaw because it hung so low. As bad as it sounds it felt really empowering to see him like that." I admitted.

"But anyways it gets better. We went down to the lake in the afternoon and I got playful again. I pushed him into the water, but he threw me in too so he was just as playful." I continued.

"And get this!" I started.

"When we were both in the water, he leaned in to kiss me. Like on the lips. And the only reason we didn't was because I stopped it by dunking him under." I whispered.

"OH MY GOD!" they screamed together.

That caused all heads to turn our way.

"They're just really excited to make shadow boxes." I said to the thirty eyes looking at us.

I waited for the class to continue before talking again.

"Ally he totally likes you!" Megan exclaimed.

"I know. But that's not even all of it. So later we snuck out of the night activity. And when we were coming back he put his arm around me!" I exclaimed in a hushed voice.

"Wow your guy's love story is something else." Megan teased.

"Stop it! Despite all that he still has a girlfriend." I told them.

"He won't for very much longer." Megan nudged me with her shoulder.

"Anyways, so I thought that was the end of an awesome day but then he told me don't fall asleep early tonight and I was really confused. So I went and got ready for lights out and then he showed up at my door. Basically he snuck out, risking so much trouble if he got caught, just to have a sleepover party with me!" I finished.

"Wait, hold up. There is two kinds of sleepovers, so which one did you guys have?" Bea asked.

"Seriously why do you guys think I'm that kind of girl?! All we did was paint our nails and yes I did paint his, had a pillow fight, sadly he won, watched a movie and fell asleep. That's it." I explained.

"Was he still there when I showed up this morning?" Megan asked.

"Uh, maybe." I half lied.

"Oh my god!" She squealed.

"He hid under the bed. I thought you were a camp leader or something." I grimaced.

"So you lied when you said you hadn't see Austin! No wonder you were acting so weird!" she said.

"But there's still one more thing." I cautioned.

"What is it? What is it? What is it?" Bea asked repeatedly.

"So Austin left, but then came back and said he had forgotten something. I asked what it was but then he just went and kissed me on the cheek and then walked away. He came back to kiss me." I told them, chewing my lip nervously.

This caused them to erupt in their loudest screams yet. Everyone else figured it was just best to ignore us now. I guess it was kind of a good thing.

"Ally!" They screamed.

"I know." was all I could say.

"So what does this mean between you and him now?" Bea asked.

I've decided to not tell them about Cassidy. At least not yet. There are way too many people around for me to say anything.

"I don't know. Everything with him is so confusing." I admitted.

And I don't think I've ever said something so true.

So I really wanted to give you something until I get back so sorry if this seemed short! I'm leaving really soon so I had to cut it short. I hope you guys have a good weekend and I'll hopefully see you Monday, if not Tuesday! I love you guys, thank you for reading and please continue to write lovely reviews. Until next time!
