Hello everybody! Sorry I haven't updated in a few days, I was camping again so I couldn't :( But I am back and ready to overload you with tons of new updates! I'm excited to announce that I'd like to finish this story by next week so be prepared for new stuff almost every day! Love you guys and thanks for always reading and reviewing, I seriously appreciate it so much!

"And, done!" Bea announced excitedly with a clap of her hands.

I took a look in the mirror to admire their work. I have to say, as much as I didn't enjoy it, I looked pretty good. Thank goodness for friends who care.

They had done my makeup, doing an excellent job of hiding my dark under eyes. Somehow they got my face back to its usual perky glow. My eyes went from droopy and tired to big and lively again, thanks to the help of my usual mascara and eyeliner. They took my hair out of its sloppy ponytail I had thrown it up into earlier and had given me some loose curls.

As for my outfit, they made me wear one that would definitely have Austin doing a double take, maybe even a triple take. I usually hate dressing like this for the mere purpose of making him drool but today I kind of liked it. I was currently in my favorite pair of high wasted shorts, which were a light denim color and distressed at the front, paired with a white lace crotched cropped tank top. I do admit that I feel kind of sexy and confident in this outfit.

"Damn you look good!" Megan exclaimed, admiring their work.

"Thanks I think." I couldn't help but laugh.

"Austin better appreciate this." Bea laughed but I sensed a hint of seriousness in her voice.

"Ok I better get going, it's almost ten thirty." I told them.

"Good luck!" They cheered together in synch.

"Thanks for everything!" I shouted gratefully as I hurried out of their cabin.

I made my way to the craft cabin, which is where the class we'd be teaching was going to be held. The closer I got the more nervous I became. I'm not sure why I was nervous really. Despite all the horrible things happening, he and I are still best friends. And the thought of that makes any trace of nerves disappear.

I walked inside to find Austin already in there, and I felt my heart rate go up. He turned around to see who was there, and smiled when he saw it was me.

"Oh, hey Ally." He smiled.

He went back to whatever he was doing before I walked in, but his attention quickly went back to me, this time with wide eyes and an open mouth. I assume this was the double take I had anticipated before coming here. A satisfactory smirk crept its way upon my face and I had to bite my bottom lip to hide it.

"Need any help?" I asked, teasing him a little as I walked towards him.

It took him a moment to comprehend what I said, his eyes not so discretely glued to me.

"S-sure." He stuttered nervously.

I hoped up onto the table, sitting to the side of him but close enough that we were face to face.

"Ally Dawson, at your service!" I joked, and proceeded to give him a salute.

We found ourselves laughing in perfect synch. And it made me wonder if hearts can beat in perfect synch like that too.

"Just fill these things up with paint please." He laughed and shook his head at my quirkiness.

He handed me five trays, one for each table I assumed. I stayed seated on the counter as I filled up each one with all the different colors of paint. The room grew silent; the only sounds were from our small movements. It wasn't an awkward silence though, it was actually quite comforting.

Just as we had finished setting up the last of everything the little kids started rolling in.

"Who's ready to paint some birdhouses?" Austin asked excitedly as they all sat down around the tables.

This resulted in every kid to raise their hands high in the air and shout things like "Me!" and "I am!" really loud. They seriously loved Austin.

"Austin I have a question." A little boy said with his arm raised high in the air.

"What is it bud?" He asked.

"Who's the pretty girl standing next to you?" the boy asked followed by a very flirtatious wink.

And then a bunch of the other little boys nodded and cheered in agreement to the question.

Oh gosh I think I was being hit on by nine year olds. I felt an embarrassing blush creep its way up my cheeks and my attempt to hide it failed miserably.

"The pretty girl is Ally." His loud laughter faded into a genuine smile.

"Well Ally, I'm Joey. What do you say to painting a birdhouse, together?" he asked with a raised eyebrow and smirk.

A rather loud snort followed by a large amount of laughter came from Austin. I sent death glares his way and hit him rather hard on his chest.

"Ow!" He said, still laughing though so it couldn't have hurt that bad.

I'd have to deal with Austin later.

"Sorry Joey. The offer is really sweet but I think I'm just a little too old for you." I said sympathetically.

"That's ok babe. There's plenty of fish in the sea for Joey." He shrugged as if this were no big deal.

What just happened?

"Alright then. Now let's get painting, we don't have all day!" I told them with much excitement.

The kids quickly got started on their birdhouses. A few little girls begged Austin and me to make one too, and soon the whole class thought it was a good idea. So we ended up being forced into doing the craft with them. I didn't mind though.

I was pulled to a table of all girls and Austin was pulled to a table of all boys. Clearly they had their favorites.

"Ally you're so awesome!" One of the little girls, Brooke, at the table exclaimed.

"Yeah!" The rest nodded in agreement.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"You girls are pretty awesome too!" I told them.

"Ally, can we ask you something?!" Brooke asked, practically bouncing out of her seat.

"Sure." I said with a confused look.

"Is Austin you're boyfriend?!" Erika asked rather loud.

My first instinct was to nervously laugh the question off.

I'm pretty sure Austin heard that one. Oh god. Does anyone seriously think we aren't dating at this camp?! Like people have no respect for privacy here! Austin and I haven't even done any kind of flirting in front of them so I don't know where they get these kinds of ideas! I swear to god these kids are worse than Megan and Bea when it came to my love life.

"Ok first of all, let's not say those kinds of questions really loud anymore." I told them with warning.

"But no, Austin is just my friend." I assured them as we continued to paint.

"Really? Are you one hundred percent sure?" Brooke asked with a shocked look.

"Uh, I think I would know if we were dating." I laughed.

"Why wouldn't I be sure?" I asked.

"Because I think he likes you." Aubrey stated.

"Austin has a girlfriend so I don't think so." I added.

"But you guys would be so cute together!" Aubrey exclaimed.

"Story of my life kid." I sighed.

"But speaking of Austin I still have to give him trouble for earlier. So if you'll excuse me I'll be right back." I told them.

I made my way to the table of boys Austin was sitting at. He didn't notice me because his back was facing me. It wasn't until I was standing behind him and got really close to his ear before he finally noticed me. I placed my hands lightly on his shoulders as I leaned into him.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked in a low, calm voice.

I felt him immediately stiffen under my touch and he might have forgotten how to talk too. If only he knew I was actually going to give him trouble.

"Sure." He finally replied. His voice was rather breathy and a few octaves lower than usual, and I kind of liked it.

We went to a corner of the room which was about as far as we were going to get from the little kids.

"So what's up?" he asked.

Without warning I hit his arm out of anger.

"Ow! Will you stop doing that?!" he asked as he covered the area I hit with his arm.

"No! You are horrible!" I exclaimed.

"Sorry but it was pretty funny." He reminded me.

"That is not the point." I glared at him with crossed arms.

"What is the point then? That you've got major wheels?" he snickered.

I rolled my eyes, hitting him on the chest again.

"Ok I probably deserved that one." He admitted.

"You deserve all of them! It's not funny!" I groaned.

I didn't realize that during the heat of our discussion, we had gotten rather close.

"Are you kidding? That was the funniest thing I've ever seen!" He chuckled at the thought again.

"Stop laughing at me!" I pouted.

"Oh Ally, you know I'll never stop." He said.

I probably should have hit him again, but the tone in his voice was different when he said that last comment. He was being serious now, and the look in his eyes was proof.

"Well I'm still mad at you." I tried really hard to be but judging by the tone in my voice I didn't sound to mad. The look he was giving me was making me melt so really it's not my fault.

"I'm sorry." He said.

"It's going to take more than that Moon." I whispered back.

"Alright, but just remember you asked for it." he smirked, followed by a wink.

Oh god.

"Kids, I'm going to demonstrate here on Ally what not to do when painting your birdhouses." He seemed a little too excited about it and that really scared me.

"Austin." I warned but he just ignored me.

I watched him grab a paint brush of the nearest table to him. I had a funny suspicion that he was going to use the brush on me.

He walked anticipating slow towards me, forcing me to back away just as slow. My back hit the edge of the counter top faster than I thought. I was trapped now because there was really nowhere else to go.

"Austin." I said again.

"What?" he asked innocently.

The paint brush was hovering over my nose, just an inch away from my skin.

"You know how much I hate messes." My words were breathy and barely audible but the warning was still evident.

And that's when he dragged the brush down my nose, finally making contact with me. A loud gasp escaped my mouth and a very big smirk grew across his face. The wet paint was thick and dripped down the bridge of my nose, leaving a trail of bright pink to dry on my skin. It felt goopy and gross and I was so going to kill him.

"Oh yeah, that's right. I must of forgot." He said innocently.

"AUSTIN!" I shouted angrily.

"ALLY!" He mocked.

I growled in frustration, pushing him as far away from me as I could. I grabbed the closest brush near me and gave it a small flick in his direction. Little globs of blue landed in his hair and on his left cheek.

"Oops!" I mocked him not so innocently.

I watched him wipe the paint off his face with a rather unimpressed look.

"You know two can play this game right?" I teased.

"Oh you're so going to get it!" he assured me.

"Wouldn't have it any other way!" I challenged back, smearing some green on his arm when he least expected it. And that's when I started running for dear life in the other direction.

"ALLY!" he shouted angrily, chasing after me.

"AUSTIN!" I mocked with a laugh.

Oh how I love it when the tables turn.

The kids started to cheer loudly for either Austin or I. I laughed at some of the things they were saying, and I knew this little paint fight would just fuel the little girls with more ideas that he and I were a couple. But I was not going to lose a fight to him for that reason!

Somehow he had caught up to me a lot faster than I would have liked him to, and somehow he had also managed to get a bunch of wet paint in to the palm of his hand. I bet the sneaky little boys had something to do with that, no surprise really.

He grabbed a hold of my wrist, forcing me to stop in place and make sure I couldn't run away again.

"Do you know how long it takes to get my hair looking this good? You've ruined all my hard work!" he informed me and he smeared his palm all over my face.

I scrunched up my face in a grimacing kind of look. I suffered through the torture quite uncomfortably. The feeling of wet paint all over my face was awful and I could already feel it starting to dry in some places. Ugh he was horrible!

"Well do you know how much this orange color clashes with my skin tone?" I asked slightly appalled at him.

I took the brush I had in my hands and brought it across his bottom lip and chin, giving him green lips.

"At least I make you look good." I argued back, admiring my most recent work on him.

I ran to grab a bottle of paint from the counter. This little brush wasn't going to cut it anymore. And it was time to really get even.

"Ally, don't even think about it!" he said chasing after me.

"Too late!" I shouted behind me.

I made it with just enough time, opening the cap in record time. I turned around to find him just a foot away so I reacted on instinct, squirting red all over his shirt. He put his hands out in front to try and block some of the paint but I was just too good for him. I stopped once I thought his shirt looked good enough. He stood still for a second looking back and forth between his shirt and me. A rather familiar smirk crept its way up his face and I gulped nervously at his rather intense stare on me.

"I could really go for a BIG hug right now, what about you Ally?" he asked as he started his walk towards me.

I both shrieked and laughed as I started my run away from him. At this point it felt like I could run a marathon. But curse his long legs and impeccable athletic skills because he caught up to me within seconds.

He grabbed my wrist, pulling me back around to face him and bringing me in for our tightest of embraces.

"Ah!" I half screamed and half laughed as he squished me into his chest.

I felt the red paint from his shirt stick onto my whole upper body. I also felt the paint sneak its way into my nicely curled strands of hair.

He let me go, laughing really hard at my appearance. He may have gotten a kick out of me but just wait till I'm finished with him.

Letting me go was a stupid idea on his part because I quickly grabbed another bottle and just dumped it straight over top of his head. I watched the purple pour out on him like he was standing in a shower of paint. It was streaming thick into his blond locks and down his back.

But he had fast reflexes, and soon the bottle was above my head, pouring its contents out on me instead. Half my hair was red and the other half was now purple thanks to him. Now I may not have fast reflexes like him but I am smart. And I was smart enough to run out from under the bottle and grab another brush.

He set the practically empty bottle down and watched me with a puzzled look as he anticipated my next move. I found an untouched area on his face and quickly brought the brush up to it. I definitely had zero artistic skills when it came to drawing and such but I was pretty good at doodling hearts. So I gave him a little pink heart on his right cheek just off to the side of his lips. What surprised me though is that he didn't try to stop me.

"Sorry, I missed a spot." I smiled and winked at him.

"Well in that case I definitely missed some spots on you." he whispered back.

He took his thumb and dragged it across my lips, leaving behind a streak of purple on them. He then put his hands on my shoulders, rubbing purple into my exposed skin. The tingling sensation was back and I didn't want it to stop. His hands on me just felt so right despite that it was so wrong. When he brought his hands back down to his sides the sensation immediately stopped and I almost whimpered at the loss. It's like I craved the feeling of his touch. I needed it to survive.

He opened his mouth to say something but a loud shriek interrupted him.

"Ms. Dawson and Mr. Moon! What is going on here!" Carol, the most uptight of camp leaders, shrieked at up.

Austin and I backed away from each other, standing up straight and fixing ourselves although it was no use considering our situation.

"We were just showing the kids what not to do, right Ally?" He said to me.

"Yeah." I nodded in agreement.

"I expected a lot more out of two of our most prized camper's here." she scolded.

"We are so sorry Carol. We promise this won't ever happen again." I assured.

Austin nodded his head in agreement.

"Well I sure hope so because when this class is over you two aren't leaving until you scrub this place spotless! And if I find one spec of paint left over you two will be cleaning more than just this room for the rest of camp. Do I make myself clear?" she asked.

"Yes ma'am." Austin said.

"Good." she smiled before slamming the door shut behind her.

I let out the breath I had been holding since she walked in. Austin and I looked at each other before bursting into laughter.

"You know this is your fault, just saying." I giggled.

"My fault? You're the one who couldn't just accept my apology!" he exclaimed.

"Well I'm not the one who gave a crappy apology." I argued back.

"You are so stubborn." He laughed, shaking his head.

"Tell me something I don't know." I teased.

"Alright, well do you know that you look terrible right now, because it seriously looks like a unicorn threw up all over you." he laughed.

"You don't look so attractive right now either Mr. Moon." I said.

"Please! I can pull off any look!" He joked, pretending to pop his color all though his shirt was collarless.

All I could do was roll my eyes at him.

"How can one person be so shallow?" I teased.

"Shallow? No I'm definitely deep, like ocean deep." He played along.

"Saying that definitely makes you shallow." I challenged.

"Not even." He smiled.

We were really close again, and despite the fact that he was covered in a rainbow mess from head to toe, he had never looked so good.

A loud clearing of someone's throat is what pulled us away from each other again.

"Shouldn't you guys be supervising us or something?" Joey asked.

"Right." I said, trying to hide the blush on my face.

"Well it actually looks like class is over. Your birdhouses look really awesome!" Austin told them.

"Awe, I don't want to go! You guys are fun!" one of the little girls cheered.

"Yeah!" everyone else said in agreement.

"Sorry guys, you better go to your next class ok." I smiled.

"Ok." They replied a little sad.

They were so cute it actually hurt.

Austin made it a rule that everyone had to give him a high five in order to leave and watching him with them was both funny and adorable. Soon it was just us and the paint splattered room left.

"I guess we better get cleaning." I sighed.

"You know you actually don't look half bad with that hair color." He joked as he and I grabbed the cleaning stuff from the closet.

"Ha, ha, very funny. But it's actually going to take me forever to get all of this out of my hair so thanks a lot!" I stuck my tongue out at him as if we were ten again.

"Did you forget you did my hair too?!" he asked gesturing to the mop of purple on his head.

"You're the one who said you could pull anything off." I defended.

"Curse my good looks." He teased.

He and I fell into laughter again as we started to clean the counter top.

"Ally?" he asked.

"Yeah Austin?" I replied as I continued to scrub the counter.

"After we're done here we should go to the lake." He suggested.

I immediately stopped scrubbing. I didn't want to ruin a perfectly good moment but I had to.

"Sorry but I can't." I told him quietly.

"Why not? Because you're busy?! Invite Megan and Bea to come and I'll invite the guys!" he exclaimed.

I had a strange feeling he wasn't going to take no for an answer.

"I don't know." I pondered.

"C'mon! You keep avoiding me or blowing me off so you definitely owe me." His words were like a bandage being ripped off my own skin, they hurt.

"Please?" he tone softened to a mere whisper. His eyes were big and full of hope and he was giving me that stupid look that always makes my heart melt and he knows I can't ever say no when he does that.

"Ok." I said.

"Just stop looking at me like that!" I warned.

"Ok." He laughed.

"But I'm definitely going to have to wash this paint off before we go anywhere." I said in all seriousness.

"Good because I don't think I can be seen in public with a deformed rainbow skittle." He teased.

"Uh!" I scoffed, hitting his chest.

"At this rate, if you keep hitting me I'm going to have so many bruises." He said, rubbing the area I had hit a second ago.

But despite my efforts to be mad at his comments, we both couldn't hold in our laughs and giggles. God his laugh was music to my ears. And his smile actually hurt my heart to look at. It's funny how my attempt at trying to stay away from him has just made me fall for him even more. Cassidy is going to kill me for agreeing to this but right now I really don't care. I'm just so happy I finally get time with Austin again because he was right, I have been avoiding him and it kills me that I have to do it. Either way I'm dead meat so I might as well die happy, right? I've come to the conclusion that the world is either working against me or for me, and I'm not sure which is worse.

Alright so there is your super cute fluffy Auslly filed chapter! There's probably going to be more Auslly in the next one but just not as much! This update actually turned out longer than I expect though so that makes me happy! Hope you enjoyed this and please tell me your favorite parts in the reviews! I love you guys so much and thanks for reading!
