Author's note! Hey guys, long time no write… like literally. Sorry about that. I'll finish I promise. Enjoy! And If you do read this, thanks for coming back!
The next day was the last one before the kids left the condo to go back home. Everyone was still tired from the night before. The boys slept in while the girls headed down to the beach.
"It's nice to come down here without the guys." Sora said, "So how did the dance go?"
"It was wonderful. Tk and I danced all night." Kari beamed.
"Ken was amazing on the dance floor too." Yolei said while the girls sat out on the beach.
"Tai and Matt didn't really want to dance." Mimi chimed in. "But it was still great. I miss being with everyone like this. It's so hard being in America away from all my friends. But this week has made me so happy."
A cool breeze blew across the beach as the girls sat thinking about this trip and smiling. Things had certainly changed, but they've had a good time. Kari was the first to stand up.
"I'm gonna go back to the condo. TK just sent me a text. I want to go say good morning." The rest of the girls followed her. She went up to their room while the rest stayed downstairs. As they were walking in, Izzy was coming downstairs texting on his phone, which was a rare occurrence for him.
"Hey Izzy," Yolei said. "Who are you texting?"
"That girl from last night. She emailed me her phone number. She wants to meet for breakfast."
"Izzy has a date!" All the girls yelled. "So what's her name?"
"Naomi." Izzy answered fixing his hair.
"Go get em tiger." Sora joked.

Kari arrived in her and TK's room. TK was sitting on the bed, finishing tying his shoes when she walked in.
"Good morning, Tk." She said sitting down next to him. Tk turned towards Kari and kissed her.
"No, now it's a good morning." Tk smiled. Kari smiled back. "Man, sure going to miss that first thing in the morning."
"We can walk to school together. It wouldn't be first thing in the morning, but pretty close." Kari said.
"True. So, where did you go?"
"Out to the beach with the girls. It was nice. I knew you were tired, so I didn't want to wake you up."
"I wouldn't have minded though. I'm glad it was nice. So, what is the plan for today?"
"I don't really know. Tai has the list of events. How about we go down to breakfast and find out what everyone else is doing?"
TK nodded in agreement. They stood up and walked to the door as TK grabbed ahold of Kari's hand and smiled. Everyone else had already come downstairs when TK and Kari arrived.
"Great, first he takes my girl, now he makes us wait for them!" Davis yelled as Tk and Kari joined the group.
"Sorry we're late." Kari apologized.
"It's cool," Tai said. "It looks like they are setting up some kind of carnival. Let's go get breakfast while they finish."
The group set off for breakfast. When they got there, they noticed Izzy sitting with a girl with long dark brown hair at their normal breakfast spot. Izzy noticed them walking up and waved them over.
"Hey guys, I want you to meet someone. This is Naomi." She turned to greet the other. Naomi was beautiful. Her long brown locks bordered her face and brought out the crystal blue color in her eyes and beautiful smile. "Naomi, these are my friends I was telling you about."
"Hello, you all." She said
"The best part is, Naomi is actually a Digi Destined!" Izzy exclaimed.
"Yes, my Digimon pal is Andromon!" The kids all sat down with Izzy and Naomi to talk about their adventures in the digital world and to make Izzy seem a little cooler than he was acting.
After breakfast was over the carnival was ready to open. It took place in the parking lot of the condo and stretched across the street and down the road. It was packed with games, toys, rides, and food.
"Come on let's go!" Ken said excited. They walked to the carnival and decided to go have their fun and meet later to ride the Ferris wheel together as a great way to end the vacation. Kari and Tk walked around the games section first looking at all the games and prizes.
"See anything you want?" TK asked her. She looked around and spotted a purple teddy bear hanging at a game.
"Aw, that teddy bear is so cute." She said.
"Hey Kari, I bet I could win you that teddy bear." Tk responded. It was hanging at the game where you had to throw the ball at the milk bottles and knock them down to win a prize.
"Everyone knows that this game is rigged! No one can win it." Davis said walking behind them. "But you know, if you want to make yourself look like a loser in front of Kari, go for it. I'm not going to stop you."
TK walked up to the game. "I'd like to win this teddy bear for my girlfriend." He said to the carnival worker." He handed TK 3 balls.
"You get it in 3 balls you get a small prize. 2 and you get a medium prize. 1 and you it's your choice." He said.
TK took the first ball bounced it in his hand to get the feel of it weight. Calculated the force to knock over the ball. Aimed his arm, took a deep breath and threw it. CRASH. In the first throw the milk bottles had been knocked down. The carnival worker took the bear down and handed it to Tk. Tk turned to Kari.
"For you, my darling." And held the bear out to Kari. Kari smiled and hugged TK excited.
"Thank you, TK!" He smiled knowing he made Kari happy and Davis totally jealous. Davis stood in disbelief as Kari and TK walked away, one teddy bear richer.
The rest of the afternoon was spent on rides and eating the fried foods. The kids loved having this carnival here. Especially since it's not something that happened often back home. Even Joe let loose and got on some of the scary dangerous looking rides. When he wasn't throwing up from the last ride he was on he was having a good time. This was a time they wished didn't have to end. The sights, sounds, and smells of the carnival were sensations that they wouldn't forget.
As the sun started to set the kids all gathered together to ride the Ferris Wheel before the fair closed. The wheel was huge and certainly was going to show them the view for miles.
"Are we all here?" The leader Tai asked.
"All present and accounted for." Matt joked. The kids walked up to the wheel and paired off to get in the gondolas. Tk, Kari Yolei and Ken, Matt, Tai, Sora and Mimi, Davis, Joe, Cody, Izzy and Naomi. One group at a time the kids were seated in their gondolas.
"Have fun everyone." Tai yelled from his gondola as the wheel started to move.
"What a great trip." Kari said to her friends.
"I agree." Ken said, "This is the first fun trip like this I've taken."
"Well then we'll have to take more of these trips." Yolei responded.
"Maybe the four of us could go on some trips, so we won't have to deal with Davis." TK said.
"He's really been on you guys the whole trip, huh?" Ken asked.
"Yes," Tk sighed. "I can't shake him."
"I'm sorry about that, TK." Kari said.
"It's not your fault, Kari, we'll just have to sit him down and talk to him, and make him realize that you aren't into him the way he is into you." Ken responded. They all nodded in agreement.
In the other gondolas, the others were all in their own conversations. Izzy was telling the story of getting Tai out of the pyramid during their first trip to the digital world. Matt was talking about his upcoming tour with his band "The Teenage Wolves."
Once the wheel got to the top all the kids looked out on the view. It was miraculous. The sun setting over the beach, the colors in the sky, the water, and the white beach as far as the eye could see.
"I've got to get some pictures of this." Kari said holding up her camera and taking some pictures. "Ken, Yolei, scoot over here. I want to get a picture for you, in front of the sun set." They carefully maneuvered in the direction Kari said for the picture. Ken put his arm around Yolei.
"3…2…1… say cheese." Kari said snapping the photo. "That was a nice shot."
"Do you want a picture of you and Tk?" Ken asked. Kari nodded handing the Camera to Ken. They switched places and Ken snapped the picture.
"Thanks, Ken." Kari smiled.
The ride continued a little bit longer, the kids enjoying every second of it and taking in the end of their vacation. Once they disembarked the ride it was time to get back to the condo and pack their things. The next morning was an early departure.
7 am came early. The kids all packed their bags into the vans and headed home in the same vehicle that they arrived in. The three-hour trip went by in the blink of an eye. Before they knew it, they arrived at the Kamiya household. All their parents were waiting to pick them up from the trip and to hear all about it. The last four left were Kari, Tai, Tk and Matt.
"So I'll see you tonight for dinner?" Kari asked Tk while they were standing outside Matt's vehicle.
"Absolutely." Tk responded. He put his arms around Kari's waist and pulled her close. "Until then…" He slowly kissed her and smiled. Matt and TK loaded into Matt's car and drove off.
"I saw that." Tai said after Matt and TK left. Kari blushed and walked inside to tell their parents about the wonderful vacation that they sent them on. The kids couldn't wait to do it again.
