I gulped and took a deep breath. "What do you want me to do?" I asked her.
Shiori laughed high. "I knew you would be a good girl, Haru-chan." She said playful. "Then first answer my question: is there someone with you, right now?" she asked.
I glanced at Taka-niichan. "I'll answer your question if you'll answer mine." I replied.
"A game? Do you want you play, Haru-chan?" Shiori giggled. "Okay, I'm in but my question first!"
I glanced at Taka-niichan again. "I'm alone right now." I lied.
"Good! Now it's your turn!"
"For whom do you work?" I asked. It became silent at the other side of the phone. "Shiori?"
"Sorry, Haru-chan but I can't tell you that, if I tell then the madam will be mad at me." She suddenly sounded pitiful.
The madam… could it be Aunt Aneko?
"We'll have to end our little game here, it was fun playing with you, Haru-chan." She said. "But it's time to start a new game."
"A new game?" I got an uneasy feeling about it.
"In this game you have to find someone."
"Who?"
Shiori giggled again.
"It's a secret but there are some rules: you can't ask anyone for help, you can't give up the game and you can't harm the person you'll meet else… you'll never see Hikaru-kun ever again."
I shivered. "How… do I find that person?" my voice sounded a bit shaky. Taka-niichan looked at me, concerned. "What's wrong?" he whispered. I putted my finger against my mouth signing to him to be quite. Though he was curious, he didn't ask anything anymore.
"There will be a car waiting at the school gate, ride it and it will bring you to that person." Shiori answered. "How do I know that you won't harm Hikaru when I'm away?"
Taka-niichan made a sound, he frowned as he looked at me, getting more and more worried but he kept silent. "Oh right, I guess that's quite important." Shiori answered. "Let's see… Haru-chan, you have my word that I won't harm Hikaru-kun." She said. I doubted that her word had any worth but for now I just had to hope she really wouldn't hurt Hika-niichan.
"You should hurry up if I were you, Haru-chan, before the car leaves without you." Shiori warned me. "There's a time limit?!" I asked surprised.
"No." Shiori said giggling." But the chauffeur might get tired of waiting for you so you'd better hurry up." She replied.
"All right, I'll be on my way." I said and ended our conversation.
"What was that?" Taka-niichan asked concerned.
"Taka-niichan, I need your help." I said, ignoring his question. Taka-nii nodded.
"Please look around the school, start with the gym and see if you can find Hika-niichan, he might be in danger."
He nodded again. "What about you?"
"I have to go somewhere, I'll contact you if I need your help again." I said and turned around to run away but Taka-niichan grabbed my wrist.
"Haruhi…" He looked me straight in the eyes. "Be careful."
"Of course." I answered. He let go of my hand and I started to run to the school gate.
…
Just as Shiori had said there was a black car waiting at the school gate. Slowly I approached it. A man, that looked like a butler, was leaning against the car. He looked up when he saw me walking over to him. He opened the door without saying a word and signed that I had to step inside.
I glanced at him suspiciously before I stepped into the car. The man closed the door and took place at the driver's seat. "Please fasten your seatbelt." He said, his voice sounded emotionless. I did as he said and the butler-like man started the car.
"Where are we going?" I asked but didn't receive a reply. The man stayed focused on the road and I restrained from asking any other questions since he wouldn't answer them.
…
We stopped at a chic restaurant. The man stepped out and opened the door for me. I stepped out the car and took a deep breath.
Please let this go well. I followed the man into the restaurant. A waiter brought us to a separate room of the restaurant with a table with food and two chairs. Except for me there was no one else present. I heard the door close behind me and when I tried to open it, it didn't move an inch. I was being locked.
There was a second door but that one too was locked. I sighed and sat down in a chair. I looked at the food on the table. It wouldn't be poisoned, right?
I poured myself a glass of water and nipped from it. It didn't taste weird. I drank some more till I heard a click from the second door when it opened. In the doorway stood an elegant lady with black hair putted in a bun. She wore expensive looking clothes and beautiful jewels. Her high-heels tapped on the floor when she stepped inside.
"Hello, Haruhi, it's been a while." She greeted formal.
"Aunt Aneko…."
Sorry for the short chapter but I didn't have any inspiration for this chapter, I'll make the next one longer, promise ^_^
