Chapter 7: Rolling back the clock
For a month the six warriors trained hard with each other. However it was not intense training every day. After a week Goku and Vegeta Jr. had to go back to the other world to finish learning the techniques that King Kai was going to show them. Zan and his group decided to stay behind incase Tenchou decided to come back earlier. Vegeta while at first was not very trusting of the new group of people, after training with them has begun to soften around them. So before leaving Vegeta Jr toke them all to the Capsule Corporation building where he and Goku Jr lives. "Your free to stay here, my mother is at a board meeting and won't be back for the next couple of weeks. Plus ill make sure to contact her and let her know what's going on in case she comes back early. I'll give you all money so you can check out to the city to your heart's content." Zandra's eyes were practically beaming when Vegeta mention money. "Are there any places you that you could suggest that we check out?" Ichi asked. "Ohm, What about some amazing food places?" Zan quickly said. Vegeta Jr smiled and just recommended they walk around West City. He also told them to check out East City, South City, North City, Central City, and Satan City if they want to check out some more stuff. After that Vegeta left them to head back to the lookout.
"So what should we do first?" Ichi again asked. "We should head back to the lookout and continue our training." Torus said before flying back to the lookout. Zandra gives little pout "We've done nothing but train for 3 months and a week straight. We all need to take a rest from time to time." Zan was about to head off and go with Torus, but now his little afraid of what Zandra might do if he does head off. From the Capsule Corporation they head straight into West City. It's quite possibly the busiest city that they've ever seen throughout their travels. Sticking in a group they walk through the streets checking out all of the shops there are. Zan made a quick stop at almost every restaurant they based. Ichi stopped a lot of the electronic stores to see what kind of technology that earth had. Finally Zandra did a lot of window shopping. As they walk their all carrying something, Zan carrying a lot of boxes of food, Ichi carrying some bags of different electronic equipment, however Zandra was only carrying a pen and notepad (making notes of different shops she was going to re-visit). Ichi then stopped with a shock look on his face "Aw crap, I forgot that I promised Mr. Popo that I would water the plants today." Ichi said quickly, he turned around and head back to the lookout. Zan and Zandra decided to take a set at a bench so Zan could eat all the food that he has been getting. Zandra sat down next to him biting her pen, staring intently at her notepad.
Tenchou had made it back to the lookout just a few minutes after leaving west city. As he heads straight to the space pad, Dende walks out of the lookout "Ahh, I see your already back." Tenchou stops and turns to face him "of course, why would I waste my time resting when I should be training. I only need to rest when I'm asleep." Dende walks toward him and smiles. "Yes I understand, but you need to learn that it is okay to take a break every once and awhile." Dende then rests both of his hands on his cane. "I remember a long time ago when the earth was threatened to be destroyed by a creature called Cell. He gave the world 9 days, and on the 9th day he would throw a tournament to decide the earth's fate. A great person by the name of Goku, Goku Jr's ancestor, had trained with his son Gohan. They had trained more many months straight in the hyperbolic time chamber. When they got out, there was still 9 more days until the tournament. Do you know how many days they trained? Barley even three, and do you know why? It is because Goku believed in his son, knowing that he had the power to defeat Cell, and in the end thats exactly what Gohan did. So what was the point of me telling you this story?" Tenchou looked down at the titles for a few seconds before finally looking Dende in the face. "To believe in the powers of those around me." Dende smiled "You got it, now you can go back to your ship if you want, or you could join me in my walk around the lookout." Tenchou looked at his ship, then looked towards Dende and began walking with him.
Zan had finally finished off all the boxes of food he had gotten. As he stood up to stretch "Now that your finished with your food, you can help me with my shopping." Zandra said. "Aww but I wanted to go take a nap." Zan complained. Zandra quickly stood up and began pulling Zan by his ear. Zan began to beg for Zandra to let go of his ear. They easily visited around 7 different clothing stores. As Zan carried 10 boxes out of a store he just had to ask "why do you need to get so many different clothes?" "Because Earth has different styles of clothing that I might not find anywhere else. Plus I did get you and the others some clothes as well, always good to have different sets of clothing." Zandra said. Zan could only sigh. Just then they hear gunfire coming from the jewelry store across the street. Three robbers bust out of the store guns a blazing, one of them with a young female hostage, who couldn't of been any older than 8. Zan then puts the bags of clothing down quickly and gently (know Zandra would slap him hard if he were to drop them even slightly) and zips across the street snatching the young girl into his arm, and with his other hand snatches the gun and then crushes it. In shock the robber backs up a few with the two other robbers then turn to point their guns at him. Just before they're about to shoot, Zandra comes from behind them knocking them both out with one chop to their necks. The final robber just drops to the floor and crawls to the wall and fear of the two. Zan leans down to him and knocks him out with two fingers.
The police arrive thanking the two for stopping the robbers. Zan remember that he still has the girl in his arms lets her down. She looks up at him giving him a big smile and hugging him around his legs before running off back into her mother's arms. At the sight Zan and Zandra can't help but get a big smile on their faces as well. "Well that was fun; I guess we should head back to the Capsule House to rest." Zandra said to Zan. With just a nod they begin their walk back to the house as word spreads around the city about two heroes.
[Writer's Note, This was more or less filler and somewhat (but not very well I know) setting up the characters that I've introduced]
