It was the second time in a short period that I found myself at a party. This time it was held in the palace itself, the room was twice as big as the one Akito had used for his 'party' and there were thrice as many guests as at the previous party.

There were several students from Ouran High School and their parents, one of the most enjoyable moments of the party had been their various reactions when they had come to greet me. I think the shock to discover that I was a girl had been bigger than the shock that I'm actually a princess. I sighed deeply and looked at the glass with champagne in my manicured hands.

The party was way more fun than Akito's had been but still… I wasn't cut out for such sociable events with tight dresses and painful high heels. I wished I could just sneak out, change into something comfortable and read a book or something. Even the presence of my niichans couldn't really cheer me up. Don't mistake me, having them around me was always fun but I yearned for some time for myself.

Ever since the trial there had been press conferences, interviews, meetings with important people, the paparazzi was always around,… I felt like I didn't have a moment of peace. Aunt Aneko had convinced me the whole thing would calm down after a couple of days but I needed my rest now and not in a couple of days. Aneko and Kazuma-sama had been a great help to me the past several days, they were very supporting but a bit too demanding.

Not that I don't understand why but I wished they would just treat me more normally and not expect me to be, well yeah… a princess. The only people whose attitude around me hadn't changed were the hosts. Something I was very grateful for.

"Haruhi-sama, are you feeling unwell?" Kazuma-sama approached me, a concerned look in his eyes.

"No, I was just lost in thoughts."

He smiled knowingly. "It's very tiring, isn't it." I nodded and sipped from my drink.

"Your friends look like they're amusing themselves." He smiled and we both looked at the six boys who were entertaining the female guests and stuffing themselves with the food on the tables. I looked at them fondly. "You should praise yourself lucky with such good friends."

I smiled. "Oh, I do, believe me."

We both stayed silent for a while until Kazuma-sama broke the silence again. "Aneko-sama told me you'll keep attending Ouran High?"

I nodded. "Yes, I hope to complete my studies there." I sighed. "I can no longer become a lawyer but I still think Ouran is the best for me."

"Do you regret that you won't be able to become a lawyer?"

"A little… When I was a child, I always told myself I would fight for justice as a lawyer and punish the evil."

Kazuma-sama laughed. "But when you become Queen you will be able to fight evil on a whole new level."

"I hadn't thought about that yet." I admitted and thought about it, if I looked it from that way, becoming Queen might not be that bad at all. "Thank you." I said to Kazuma-sama.

He smiled friendly. "You're welcome." We talked a little longer before Kazuma-sama excused himself and joined his wife. I looked over at my niichans and noticed one of the boys was missing. Maybe he was dancing with some girl or to the bathroom.

I put my glass away and grimaced at the pain in my feet because of my high heels. I really wished I could just go around on bare feet. It was getting a bit too hot in the party room so I decided to sneak away to one of the balconies. The sof evening breeze cooled my face and played with some hair strands.

I stepped out to the middle of the balcony when I finally noticed I wasn't on my own. I met eyes with the person who was standing half in the shadows and smiled to him.

I forgot to announce I was going on holiday to Switzerland, so that's why I'm so late with updating... Sorry... And also sorry that it is so short, next chapters will probably not be any longer though...

I finally found some ideas for the chapters but they will probably be very short. There will be seven chapters with each guy ( The twins will have only one chapter and I'm going to include Arata - just because I can ^^ - )

My idea is that in each chapter Haruhi meets another host on the balcony (for example: she meets Tamaki first and the next chapter it's Kyoya but it's like the previous chapter never happened) so there is no real pairing and if you wish to skip a host or you're really set on only one pairing you can skip all other chapters since they will be titled with their names: first will be Tamaki, then Kyoya, the twins, Takashi, Mitsukuni and Arata for last.

I will end the story with a short prologue to give the fic a clean ending :)
