The twins grinned back at me. "Are you running from your own party?" Hika-niichan teased.

"That's not very nice." Kao-niichan berated me playfully.

I rolled my eyes. "What about you? Also running from the party?"

They grinned devilishly. "Running from Tono actually – " Hika-niichan replied.

" – I don't think he appreciated our prank." Kao-niichan ended.

I snorted and the brothers raised their eyebrows in mock surprise.

"Haruhi! That wasn't very princess-like!" they mocked me.

"Oh shut up." I muttered. They grinned again and slung their arms around my shoulders.

"You wouldn't forsake us after you ascend the throne, right?" Hika-niichan teased, but I was sure there was some honest concern in his voice.

I smiled reassuring. "Of course not, you two will always be my friends."

"But you like me better than Hikaru, don't you?"

"No, no!" His brother protested. "She likes me better, right Haruhi?!"

"In your dreams, brother." The two held a staring contest as I laughed.

"I like you two equally." I told them. They viewed me with a strange look in their eyes before they exchanged a glance with each other – which I recognized as one of their 'Twin-moment' – and smiled at me somewhat rueful.

"That's the problem." Hika-niichan muttered under his breath, but I might have imagined it. Their arms slipped from my shoulders to my waist, before I knew they were hugging me – sandwiching me. I hugged them back and they nuzzled their noses in my neck.

"You won't leave us again, will you?" I felt Kao-niichan's lips move against my skin as he spoke.

"Of course I won't." I weaved my fingers through their hair.

"You'll stay with us?" Hika-niichan asked, is breath warm against my shoulder.

"I will, until you get tired of me."

Their chuckles tickled my skin. "We love you, Haruhi." They whispered at the same time.

"I love you too guys." The gripped me tighter as we stood under the starry night sky.
