(THE PAST! [BEFORE THEY MEET!])

" Can I please play in the park while you have your meeting?" I asked.

Me and my dad were in New York. He said it was a business trip.

" Annabeth it will only take a bit okay? After the meeting we can go to the park."

" But I may not want to go then! I'm 5. I can go by myself." I claimed.

He looked inside and his leg started to shake a bit.

" Okay. Here. Put this on your wrist okay?" He handed me a small watch and latched it across my wrist. " When the big needle hits the 12 you have to come inside okay. The park is just across the street. Now when you come in the building go to the big desk okay? That person will watch you while I'm in my meeting."

I nodded. I waited for the light to turn green and I ran across the street to the park. I ran straight to the slide. It had to be at least 500 feet tall.

I was in front of the slide when a boy ran into me. A BOY!

I fell on my butt and so did he.

" Watch where your going stupid!" I said. I brushed the wood chips off my shorts.

He had black hair and huge green eyes. And he really wasn't cute at all.

" It's not my fault you can't see!" He said.

" You need to apologize."

" I did."

I glared. " No you didn't!"

" Well I don't need to apologize."

" Susan says you always need to apologize if you hurt someone. Even if you didn't mean to. That's the only smart thing she's ever said. Besides chocolate is the best flavor ice cream." I declared.

" Superman ice cream is the best." He said.

" Superman?" I asked. Why would there be an ice cream named after Superman?

He looked shocked. " You've never heard of Superman ice cream? How are you living. It's ice cream that's blue and yellow and red and orange and it's delicious!"

I scrunched my nose. " That sounds gross."

" How are you even alive?"

I wasn't liking this boy. " You still need to apologize."

" I will not apologize!" He declared. I glanced at my watch and saw the big hand was almost at the 12.

" Fine. If you aren't going to apologize then I'm going on the slide." I said. I was climbing up when I heard him pounding up the stairs too.

I rolled my eyes. I contuied up the stairs till I got to the top of the stairs. Then I stopped.

" Why are you stopping?" He asked.

" No reason. I'm just looking at the slide. I like the color."

" Yellow?" He asked. " Just go please."

I stayed where I was. It was really high up. If I go to fast I'll fly off the slide and break a bone or maybe even die!

" Are you scared of going down?" He asked.

I turned around and glared at him. " I'm not scared!" I said.

" Well if you are, I could push you down. That way you won't know when you're going so you can't get scared." He suggested.

I thought for a minute. " Okay. But if you do anything I don't like then you will get punched!" I said.

I sat down on the slide and closed my eyes. I felt his hands on my back as he pushed me down. I opened them to find I was sitting at the edge. I quickly got up and watched him go down.

" Thank you for pushing me." I said. I looked at the watch again and saw the big needle hit the 12." I have to go. Bye!" I said. I ran off towards the building my dad was in. I walked in and saw he was waiting in a big chair next to the desk.

" About time. I was about to get worried." He walked me out of the building and back to the hotel.

Present day

" So where are we going?" I asked for what felt like the hundredth time.

Percy smiled and grabbed my hand. " I told you already."

I smirked. " All you said was that we were going on a date before school starts again and that I would really enjoy it. Can I please at least know the location of this date?"

" No! I shall never tell you the name because then it would ruin the whole fun of me knowing something you don't. So please. Just let me enjoy this moment."

I sighed. " Alright. But just this once Seaweed Brain."

We contuied to walk around until we got to a park. It was small compared to other parks in New York. Although I had to admit the play structure did beat out others. It had everything a park should have. Complete with a bright yellow slide.

" And here we are!" Percy declared.

I looked at him like he was crazy. And actually he was a bit. " And where is here exactly?"

His excitement seemed to drop a bit. " You don't remember?"

" Percy. I've blocked out most memories beginning with my dads trip in New York. I try not to dewl in the past too much."

" Well what I remember is that I was literally begging my mom like everyday to take me to a new park that opened just down the street from where we use to live, and I remember when she finally did I ran to the slide and, literally, ran into this girl." I remembered what he was talking about. But I wanted to see what he thought about younger me.

" She had this crazy thing of blonde hair on her head that looked like a rat's nest." Oh he's dead. " And she also had gray eyes that were so small it was like pins." Pushing him off the slide would only break his arm at least. Maybe off a tree...

" Anyways she was severely annoying. She kept on demanding that I apologize for running into her. And the worst part was she had no clue was Superman ice cream was. So after we finished fighting over me having to apologize we both went up the to the slide and she was like petrified of it! She almost went back down!"

Not a tree. It would take to long for me to get down.

" Anyways I told her that if she was scared I would push her down mainly because I really wanted to go down. And I was kinda hoping she would face plant into some wood chips. So I did and I never saw her again."

I smiled. " Well I remember an extremely annoying guy running into me too when I was younger. Yeah he was so ugly! I mean nothing about him was cute and honestly he looked like a rat a bit."

He laughed. " I knew you remembered. By the way I didn't think you were ugly. I actually thought you really pretty."

" Aww. That's so sweet Percy. But I actually did think you were ugly." I said.

" Well I guess then I will have to get you back for saying that he."

" If you can catch me."

I took off running I heard him run after me. I was making quick turns so he wouldn't be able to follow where I was very well. I got behind a tree and waited for him to run by. When he did I grabbed his shirt and quickly kissed his cheek.

" I still want an apology for you shoving me." I said.

A/N Hello everybody! I really hope you enjoy this. I thought this was a cute one. So you better like it or else! I'm going to keep this short so please be sure to post in a review a couple you want me to do. But I will say this. I kinda would prefer if it was couples that could actually happen and that aren't completely crazy and out there. Meaning NO PERTIMES! Seriously. I get way too many request for them.
