Chapter 34
Rain drenched down on the Impala as they pulled into the parking lot of the motel.
"Are you sure we can't keep driving?" Addy asked from the backseat, grabbing her stuff.
"Not in this weather princess," Dean replied from the driver's side, "Now come on. Let's make a break for it."
They all got out and ran for the entrance. By the time they got there they were all soaked through. Addy's hair dripped from her shoulders and she groaned in annoyance as she tried ringing it out.
"Well that was fun," she said sarcastically as she began looking around the weirdly nice looking lobby that was filled with its residents.
"Whew. Nice digs, for once," Dean said and her and Sam followed after him to the front desk, plopping their bags down, "Busy night."
"Any port in a storm, I guess," he said and Addy felt a chill as he met her eyes. She glanced at his name tag to see his name was Chad as he slid a form to Addy, "How many rooms?"
"Two," she replied, pushing her hair back from her face as she grabbed a pen and Dean slid him the credit card.
"Two king beds I assume," he said politely.
"Definitely," Sam said quickly and Dean shot him a smirk.
She slid the form back and he handed two keys to her. She handed one to Sam and the other to Dean as she noticed a bleeding spot on his neck.
"You're bleeding," she said with a frown.
"Here you are," Chad said and quickly handed him a tissue.
"Thanks," Dean replied, taking it, "Hey, you wouldn't happen to have a coffee shop, would you?"
"Buffet. All you can eat. Best pie in the tri-state area," he said and Dean's whole face lit up as Addy and Sam shared a knowing look.
"You don't say?"
SUPERNATURAL
Addy watched as Dean prowled the dessert section of the buffet. He looked absolutely happy and it made her smile. She turned back to Sam who hadn't taken a single bite of his food.
"I thought Sasquatches were known for their appetite," she teased.
He sighed," Don't you think we should keep driving? We've got a lot of ground to cover and a short time to cover it."
"Yeah I think we should keep going but this storm is ridiculous," she replied, taking a bite of her food, "and we can't save the world if we get ourselves killed in a car accident."
"I guess," he replied and glanced at Dean, "So how much crap did you give him for almost going Michael on us?"
She mulled it over, "There was screaming and yelling and smacking so I'd say a lot less than I should have given him."
"But you don't think he'll-"
"No, he won't do it again. I didn't give him a lot of crap because he's got the message. He's not going on the Michael train again."
"Good," he said just as Dean took a seat next to her and slid his arm over her shoulder.
"So much pie," he said, a dug into a piece that was no doubt apple, "Sam, unpucker, man. Eat something."
"We should hit the road, Dean," he suggested again.
"In this storm?" Dean countered, "It's-"
"It's biblical. Exactly. It's friggin' Noah's ark out there, and we're eating pie," he said, obviously frustrated.
"How many hours of sleep did you get this week? What? Three? Four? Bobby's got his feelers out, okay? We have talked with every hoodoo man and root woman in 12 states," he said.
"Yeah, well, I'm not giving up."
"No one's giving up, Sam," Addy said with a small smile, "We're just taking a little breather. We need it. We're no help if we're burned out."
"Addy's right. We're gonna find a way to beat the devil, okay? Soon. I can feel it. And we will find Cas, we'll find Adam."
"Yeah," Sam agreed, finally listening to them, "Yeah, okay. "
"Come on, we've actually got the night off for once. Let's try to enjoy it," he said and then shoved another bite into his mouth and added, "Chill out. Get some sleep. Eat a piece of pie. Watch some paper view porn. I think they have Casa Erotica."
Addy shot him a disgusted look but he just winked at her.
"I think I'll just go for the pie," Sam replied, getting up and rolling his eyes at his brother as he walked away.
"Did you seriously just suggest your brother watch porn to unwind?"
"Hey it works," he replied and then added with a grin, "but I've got you now so it's unnecessary. What do you say we go back to our room and make our own Casa Erotica?"
She smirked and was about to answer when she caught a brunette woman in a skimpy, red skin tight dress and dramatic makeup staring at her. She winked and then went back to her salad.
"What's wrong?" Dean asked, recapturing her attention.
"Nothing," she said quickly, shaking her head and giving him a light kiss, "Just wondering how you ever got laid with lines like making our own Casa Erotica."
He snorted a laugh," And what about you? How did you pick 'em up before I came along and ruined you for all other men?"
She smirked and put her hand on his thigh as she leaned in close, "I'd lean in close and maybe look at you like this."
She looked at him through her lashes and glanced down at her lips, "Then I'd probably whisper something to you."
He gulped loudly, "What would you, uh, say?"
She pressed her lips to his ear and as she rubbed his thigh, whispered something that made his eyes grow wider before practically running with her out of the buffet while giving Sam a salute goodbye.
SUPERNATURAL
Addy's body hit the door to their hotel room with a thud. Dean held her against it, his lips on her neck as he fumbled with the key.
The couple next door to them in the honeymoon suite paid them no mind as they made out and giggled loudly. Dean laughed and she rolled her eyes.
"What are you twelve?" she asked with an eye roll.
"Would a twelve year old do this?" he asked, unlocked the door, picked her up with her legs around his waist and carried her inside, kicking the door shut with his foot.
"Most definitely not," she replied and kissed him as her carried her over to the bed. They fell down into the pillows and as Dean pulled away he actually looked at the room for the first time.
"Wow. This place is nice."
Addy briefly looked around and then felt something under her head. She reached back and grabbed it to see it was chocolate.
"This place is really nice," Addy said with a frown, "Dean this is kind of-"
"Why don't we talk later?" he asked with a smirk and settled himself between her legs, "I can think of a hundred more things more interesting to do right now."
"A hundred is a bit over your limit, don't you think?" she asked, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"I've got the whole night off princess," he said with a smirk, his fingers traveling beneath her shirt.
She moaned softly, "That's a lot of time. I think we'll get bored."
"Oh trust me," he replied, attaching his lips to her neck, "No way we'll get bored in this bed."
"Or in the shower. On the sink. Against the wall. Me bent over the-"
She didn't get to finish because he attached his lips to hers with a growl in the back of his throat as they began tearing their clothes off each other.
"Someone's got a dirty mouth," he said against her lips as she began pulling at his shirt.
She flipped herself on top of him and said with a grin, "You want me to show you what my dirty mouth can do?"
"Someone's a dirty girl too," he said against her lips.
She began kissing down his neck, unbuttoning his shirt but abruptly she sat up with a confused look.
"This place is seriously weird," she said, looking around, "It's a freaking four star hotel in the middle of nowhere."
"Can we worry about that later," Dean said in a somewhat strained voice.
"Yeah you're right," she replied, shaking her head and leaning back down to him, "Now what were we saying about being dirty?"
"You were saying how you're my dirty girl," he replied with a smile.
"I am your dirty girl," she said with a mischievous smile.
"God you're sexy," he said as she unbuttoned his shirt halfway and kissed his neck.
"And don't you forget it."
Suddenly, the sounds of the giggling couple from next door and the woman's loud moans drifted into their room.
"Guess we'll just have to be louder," Dean said and she grinned down at him and just as they were about to go back to what they'd been doing a loud crash and the bricks behind the television shifting out made them both stop.
"What the hell?" Addy asked, rolling off him and fixing her clothes.
"Wonderful timing," Dean mumbled under his breath as he got up from the bed, "Yeah we should go see what just completely ruined our mood."
"Keep it in your pants until we check it out and then I'll be your dirty girl all night long," she said with an eye roll and then pulled him along.
When they entered the now empty honeymoon suite Sam was already there holding up an abandoned engagement ring.
"What the hell?" Addy asked under her breath.
SUPERNATURAL
"So how are we going to play this?" Dean asked, staring at the front desk in the lobby, "For all we know this whole place is in on whatever weirdness is going on."
"We can just ask," Sam suggested.
"Give me the ring," Addy said and Sam handed it to her.
She grabbed Dean's hand, "Follow my lead."
She flounced over to the front desk with a wide smile and batted lashes, "Hi. My husband and I… we're on our honeymoon."
She gave Dean a sappy look and turned back to Chad, "We met another couple and they kind of just disappeared on us. They were really nice too. We're so worried about them. Right pumpkin?"
"Right…honey," Dean said awkwardly.
"Mr. and Mrs. Logan? They checked out. Is something the matter?" Chad asked innocently.
"They left," Dean said with a raised brow, "They were kind of in the middle of something."
Addy elbowed him in the ribs and held up the ring, "Plus they left this."
"Oh, dear. I'll just put that right in the lost and found. Don't you worry. Is there anything else I can help you with?"
Dean and Addy exchanged a brief look and he said, "No, we're good."
They walked back over to Sam and she said, "Apparently the lip locked lovers just checked out. Sound legit to you?"
"I mean, one night off. Is that too much to ask?" Dean mumbled, "So what do we do now?"
"Sam you keep an eye on Chad," she said with a shudder, "Something ain't right about him. Dean and I will split up and search the place with EMF. We'll meet back here in an hour."
SUPERNATURAL
Discreetly, Addy pulled out her EMF detector and began walking through the halls keeping herself alert.
"One night off," she mumbled, "Just one."
"Whatcha got there?"
Addy quickly shut off the EMF and turned, shoving it in back pocket. The red dress woman from earlier was staring at her with a white toothed smile.
"Trying to get signal," she replied with a chuckle, "The storm's messing with my phone."
"And your hair," she added with a sugar sweet smile, "The wild look is nice on you though."
"Uh…thanks," she replied and then a sharp pain was on her neck. She put her fingers to the area and pulled back to see blood on them, "What the hell?"
"Are you okay?" the woman asked, pulling a handkerchief from her small clutch, "That came out of nowhere."
"Yeah it did," she said, taking the handkerchief from her and pressing it to her neck, "Thank you. I think I should go find my-"
"Boyfriend, right?" she finished for her and Addy couldn't hide her suspicious look, "I'm sorry I just saw you two earlier and you look so much in love. I love love."
"Oh well that's…nice," she said, looking over her shoulder for an exit, "I should really go find him though. He gets so worried. He's probably looking for me right now."
She wasn't sure what was going on but this woman rubbed her the wrong way. She didn't think she could hurt her but she'd thought that enough times to know you could never be too careful.
"I'm sure he is," she said with a smile but still it sounded almost like a threat, "You know if you wore a skirt every once in a while he'd really appreciate it."
"Right," she said with a raised brow and handed her back her handkerchief, "I should get going."
"He's got a thing for your legs," she said, giving her a slow once over, "Although I can see why."
"Uh huh," Addy said, slowly stepping back, "What's your name again?"
"I didn't tell you my name but I'll see you around," she said and turned, her hips swaying as she sauntered off.
"Addy," she turned to see Dean walking towards her. When she turned back she was gone.
"You'll never believe what I just saw. Well knowing you you probably will but-"
"Do you have a thing for my legs?" she asked abruptly.
"What?" he asked with a scoff, "I mean they're nice. Really nice and yeah I like them but I mean…how'd you know that?"
"Some random woman just told me."
"Weird but I think mine's weirder. I just saw an elephant."
"An elephant?" she repeated with a raised brow.
"An elephant," he confirmed, "I was passing by this room. I swear I hear an elephant. Double back. It's just a fat guy in a towel."
"So you've got a thing for my legs and fat guys?" she asked in an amused voice.
"Don't be a smart ass."
"And here I was thinking you loved that about me," she said with a smile.
"Don't be cute," he said as they began walking towards the elevator to meet Sam.
"Can't help it," she replied, "So elephants and a woman who predicts fetishes."
"It's not a fetish," he said defensively, "Man's not allowed to like his woman's legs."
She chuckled as they stepped inside, "Focus, Dean. What the hell is going on here?"
"Beats me," he said with a sigh, "Either way I'm pissed. One night. Is that so much to ask?"
"Apparently," she said with a sigh, "I say we figure this out and then get the hell out."
SUPERNATURAL
"An elephant?" Sam asked as they made their way back to the lobby.
"An elephant," both Dean and Addy said at the same time.
"Like, full-on Babar," Dean added.
"So what the hell is... Where is everybody?" Sam asked as they finally got to the now empty lobby which not too long ago was filled with guest.
With a bad feeling Addy walked towards the entrance doors. She tugged and pushed at them but they didn't budge. Dean and Sam came to her sides and they began pushing together but still nothing.
"Locked," Dean said with a groan, "Great this is just great."
Addy stepped back, "Move out of the way."
With a focused look, she let out a burst of power towards the door but it ricochet back into her sending her flying back.
"Addy!" Dean called, running to her side with Sam as she sat back up," What the hell just happened?"
"I got thrown on my ass," she said sarcastically and groaned as they pulled her up, "I'm okay."
"By what?" Sam asked, looking between the doors and her.
"Whatever the hell is fucking with my magic," she answered, shoving them both away, "Not only is this officially our type of thing but we are officially screwed."
"So what the roaches check in, they don't check out? " Dean asked.
"Think about how we got here. That detour on I-90? The friggin' hurricane?" Sam yelled.
"You saying we were led here?" Dean asked.
"Like rats in a maze."
"Very morbid, Sam," Addy said with a sigh.
SUPERNATURAL
They'd checked the everywhere and so far no employees and no guest besides them. They made their way into the kitchen where there were still pots on the stove. One was boiling and Addy pinched her nose.
"That smells disgusting."
Dean went over to it slowly chanting, "Please be tomato soup. Please be tomato soup."
He pulled the ladle up from the pot and two eyeballs floated to the top. Addy jumped back with wide eyes.
"Fucking motel hell," Dean said as Sam moved towards the freezer.
"Help us! Get us out!" a man called out from inside.
Frantically Sam took his lock picking tools from his pocket.
"Just hold on," Addy said to them, "We're going to get you out."
"Hurry up!" Dean said.
"I'm going as fast as I…" Sam turned back to look at them straightened with an alarmed looks, "can."
"There's somebody behind us, isn't there?" Dean asked.
Addy slowly turned to see three large men with menacing looks, "Shit."
SUPERNATURAL
Sam and Dean were dragged into the grand ballroom by one of the men for each of them.
"Hey, hey," Dean yelled, fighting them furiously as they pushed them down into chairs, "Where's the girl?"
Two seconds later, two men came in dragging a struggling Addy by her legs and shoulder bound by her hands and ankles with tape over her mouth. She kicked and punched at them, giving them a hard time keeping her under control.
"Damn it would you just…"one of them said and trailed off as she kicked him in the stomach. She continued beating at them and it took two other men to restrain her down until she sat down and glared at them with murder in her eyes.
"Little bitch," one of them mumbled and she lurched towards him and he flinched back as she smirked beneath the tape.
"Addy are you okay?" Dean asked and she nodded as she looked around the room at all the men and woman. Her eyes landed on their name tags which were various god names.
She looked to Dean with wide eyes who said, "Something tells me this isn't a Shriner convention."
"Chad" came in rolling through the doors, Mercury on his name tag and pushing a cart with a metal platter on it, "Dinner is served."
He lifted the lid to reveal a cooked human head and if it weren't for the duct tape Addy was sure she would've barfed. The gods applauded and the one named Baldur stood up and gestured to the trio.
"Ladies and Gentleman, our guests of honor have arrived," he clinked his glass with a fork, "Thank you for coming. Although in all my centuries, I never thought I'd see this. This many gods under one roof."
"Gods?" Sam repeated.
"Now, before we get down to brass tacks, some ground rules. No slaughtering each other. Curb your wrath. Oh, and uh, keep your hands off the local virgins. We're, trying to keep a low profile here."
"Oh, we are so... so screwed," Sam whispered.
"Now we all know why we're here. The Judeo-Christian apocalypse looms over us. I know we've all had our little disagreements in the past. The time has come to put those aside and look toward the future. Because if we don't, we won't have one," he walked over to the hunters, "Now we do have three very valuable bargaining chips. Michael, and Lucifer's vessels and his queen. Speaking of which why is the little one bound like an animal."
He was obviously referring to Addy and she glared at him.
"Curb the fire brown eyes," he said, stroking finger down her cheek.
"I demand she be unbound."
Everyone in the room turned to the voice and Addy's eyes widened at the sight of the red dress woman from earlier.
"I wouldn't do that boss," one of the men from earlier who'd captured them said, "She puts up one hell of a fight."
"I like her and I said," red dress snapped and the duct tape disappeared, "She should be unbound."
"Aphrodite you can't just-" Baldur began but she crossed her arms with narrowed eyes, "She looks like Lilith and Lilith was my friend before her down fall. I want her free and what I want I get."
"Let her have her way, Baldur," a woman at the head of the table said, her name reading Kali.
"Fine," Baldur said and winked at Addy, "Now the question is, what do we do now? Anybody have any bright ideas? Speak up. This is a safe room. "
A large Asian man spoke up in what they guessed was his foreign tongue.
"Kill 'em? What, so the angels can bring the back again?" another god chimed and they exchanged an alarmed look.
"I don't know what everybody's getting so worked up about! 'Cause it's just a couple of angels having a slap fight! There's no Armageddon. Everybody knows, when the world comes to an end, the Great Serpent Jormungandr rises up, and I myself will be eaten by a big wolf!"
Addy slapped Dean's arm, "Holy crap that's Odin."
He shot her a look, "Are you really fangirling right now?"
Odin and the Asian god began to argue furiously and the trio exchanged a look. Slowly, they got up from their seat and moved towards the doors. They got close before a chandelier crashed from the ceiling and they turned back with almost guilty looks.
"Stay," Kali said with a glare.
"Look we'd love to partake in this little debate you guys got going on but we really have to get going," Addy said with a smile.
"Lilith and I had a bit of a falling out," Kali said in a menacing tone, "Don't make me take my anger out on you."
Addy gulped and Dean moved her into his side.
Kali turned back to the gods, "We have to fight. The archangels, the only thing they understand is violence. This ends in blood. There is no other way, it's them, or us."
"With all due respect, ma'am," Mercury said, speaking up," We haven't even tried talking to them."
Kali glared at the man and he began choking on his own blood.
"Kali!" Baldur yelled at her, probably stopping her from killing him all together.
"No one asked you, Mercury," she said with a deceptive smile.
The doors burst open and in walked Gabriel with a cocky smirk, "Can't we all just get along!"
"Gab-" Dean begins but the angel waves his hands and he begins choking on the word, his voice gone.
"Sam, Dean, Addy... It's always wrong place, worst time with you muttonheads, huh?" he teased.
"Loki," Baldur said in disgust.
"Baldur. Good seeing you too. I guess my invitation got lost in the mail."
"Why are you here?"
"To talk about the elephant in the room," one of the gods began to stand in offense," Not you. The Apocalypse. We can't stop it, gang. But first things first. "
Gabriel turned to them with a smirk, "The adults need to have a little conversation. Check you later. "
He snapped his fingers and they were transported to Sam's motel room.
"What just happened?" Addy asked in confusion.
