(Battle Music Cue: L'Eminenza Oscura I – DDD)
The First Sister, now standing as a towering White Dragoness, glared down at her three opponents. She proceeded to fall backwards with her wings folded in, falling towards the ground before opening her wings, taking flight with a monstrous roar. Sora, Riku, and Namine looked at each other for a moment before quickly running towards the opposite edge of the Brink, throwing their Keyblades into the air, causing them to transform into their Keyblade Gliders. Namine's Keyblade Glider resembled a decorative white chariot pulled by a pair of blazing white comets, attached to the chariot by a set of chains.
"So why do the bad guys always have a dragon form?! I mean seriously! How many dragons is this now?!" Riku yelled as they chased after First.
"I've lost count!" Sora replied, watching as First glided around out of sight behind the Palace. The trio were hot on her tail but as they rounded a corner, they suddenly saw First, attached to the side of the palace, lunging out with her maw open.
"WATCH OUT!" Namine exclaimed, the three quickly veering out of the way, narrowly escaping First's attempt to crush them in her jaws. She noticed their escape and started flying after them. Riku glanced over his shoulder at the pursuing dragon, quickly pulling a vertical U-turn, flying straight towards First, veering up just in time to avoid her jaws and land in a fast slide down her back. His Glider reverted to its Keyblade form, allowing him to stab his Keyblade into her hide, using his momentum to leave a long and painful scar down her side, causing her to roar in pain as he slid down towards her tail, grabbing onto a back fin near the tip. First roared in anger and flew in close to the Palace, flipping her tail towards the Palace, attempting to smack Riku off of her but he jumped off in the nick of time, summoning his Keyblade Glider and resuming the chase.
At the same time, First had Namine in her sights, opening her maw and allowing a massive sphere of darkness energy to start forming for a devastating attack, suddenly beginning to hover as she lined Namine up in her shot. Namine quickly took hold of the reigns on her Glider.
"OH PERFECT LIGHT!" she yelled as she entered her Virtue Form. She then turned and conjured a large shield made of light around her just as First fired off a huge beam of Darkness Energy, the beam missing her initially but First quickly started to sweep the beam after her. Namine started to lose ground as she tried to evade the beam but wouldn't have to for long as Sora rounded the Palace.
"Namine, hang on!" Sora called, summoning Oblivion to one hand and aiming it at First. He suddenly fired off his Ragnarok Ultima Shot-Lock, the massive beams of light flying in and striking First in the side of the head, causing her to lose control of the beam which quickly fizzled out. She snapped at Sora as she flew towards him but he veered downward just in time, summoning Oathkeeper to his off-hand before raising both Keyblades straight up as he flew beneath her, the Keyblades cutting into First's underbelly from below.
"CURSED BRATS!" First boomed as she came back around towards the two only for Riku to fly across her path, dismissing his glider and summoning his Keyblade while pointing it at First, the Keyblade glowing with dark energy before he reared it back and threw it at First in his Dragon Slayer Shot Lock, the Keyblade striking her in numerous locations as it rapidly teleported around before reappearing in its Glider form beneath Riku. Suddenly First spun around towards them and opened her talons, creating a sudden mass of bramble-like black tendrils, the tendrils rushing towards them, causing the trio to scatter.
"Whoa boy!" Sora yelped as the tendrils started to overtake him and the others, forming a dense almost tunnel-like maze of tendrils, weaving and banking in strange directions. Namine quickly reverted her powers back to her normal form, and grabbed hold of the reigns just in time as First smashed through the tendrils ahead of her, Namine escaping the tendrils only to wind up in First's direct line of fire as she prepped another Wrath Beam in her maw.
"ROXAS!" Namine yelled as she quickly reverted her glider to its Keyblade form in her hand just as the beam fired off, enveloping her within it. Sora heard her cry out, his eyes widening.
"Namine!" he exclaimed, bringing Oathkeeper and Oblivion around and creating a powerful double-Firaga explosion, destroying the tendrils around him. Riku did the same only with a Dark Firaga, both of them escaping in time to see First's Wrath Beam start to fizzle out, First chuckling with dark satisfaction, turning her attention towards them. The two hovering in midair as she took a deep breath, dark flames starting to form around her maw in preparation for another attack. Before she could attack however, she was ensnared by numerous long lengths of chains that wrapped around her maw and forced it shut.
"WHAT IS THIS?!" First grunted as she struggled to break free. Sora and Riku were both surprised by the development, especially as they saw each of the chains emerging from small grey portals along the walls of the Palace.
"What the-." Riku yelped in surprise.
"It's Namine!" Sora exclaimed, motioning towards a large metal sphere made entirely of chains, the sphere floating exactly where Namine had been standing mere seconds ago. The chains on the sphere started to shift and move, the chains rattling off in all directions and vanishing into thin air to reveal Namine hovering in midair. Her coat had turned grey and black with a series of X decals similar to Roxas's zipper chain. The lining of her coat, especially at the sleeves and inside the hood were now a black and white checked pattern.
"Hey, Sora, is it me or does that remind you of your old Final Drive Form?" Riku asked as Sora grinned.
"That's because it is!" he said.
"We are not going out so easily! We will fight you with everything we have!" Namine yelled, earning an angered glare from First. First didn't respond as her eyes glowed red with fury, suddenly beginning to open her maw, the chains resisting until they started to break, entire lengths shattering until they all shattered, First lunging between them with increased speed, her size and speed as she flew past causing them to lose control of their gliders.
"WHOA!" Sora yelped as they struggled to regain control. Riku saw First coming back around for another attack, aimed directly towards the Keyblade Master.
"Sora! MOVE!" Riku yelled, rushing towards him, slamming his glider into Sora's, knocking him out of the way just as First launched her attack, flying towards him with a talon. Riku quickly raised a Guard Wall but it wasn't enough as she effortlessly smashed through the wall, batting Riku towards the Palace of Eternity, sending him crashing into the burnt out ballroom.
"RIKU!" Sora exclaimed as he and Namine raced towards the ballroom, Namine summoning a flurry of chain attacks to harass First and keep her diverted long enough for the two to fly onto the ballroom balcony, dismissing their gliders and rushing to the large hole in the wall where Riku lay armored but unconscious. His armor was smoking and dented, broken in a few places even.
"Riku! Are you alright! Speak to me!" Sora exclaimed as he rushed to his friend's side. Riku let out a groan, his armor vanishing as Sora picked him up under the arm.
"We can't keep doing this. People will start to talk." Riku mumbled, a hand to his head as Sora chuckled.
"I can't help it if you keep getting your butt kicked." Sora teased, Riku smiling back towards him as they limped towards the balcony. Before they could reach the balcony, the darkened and burnt out ballroom was illuminated by one of First's glowing red eyes peering inside.
"THERE YOU ARE!" she boomed as she held onto the side of the Palace.
"We're trapped!" Sora exclaimed but Namine wasn't deterred.
"Oh no we're not!" she argued, pointing her Keyblade towards First, just as First started to prepare another Wrath Beam. Before the beam could fire though, numerous chains wrapped around her throat and pulled her backwards, causing the beam to fire harmlessly into the sky.
"Sora! Riku! Come on!" Namine called, the two reaching her just as a chain burst up from the balcony, flying straight up towards the Brink. Namine grabbed onto the chain, the chain yanking her up into the air as it moved. Sora and Riku quickly did the same, riding the chain towards the Brink as First broke free, flying up after them. The trio reached the top and quickly leapt off the chain, Sora and Namine landing safely but Riku tumbling across the ground, slamming against the railing near the steps, falling unconscious from the impact (End Battle Music).
"Riku!" Xenix exclaimed, rushing out of the barrier to Riku's side.
"Xenix, wait!" Aqua called just as they heard a monstrous roar. They turned in time to see a black and white blur fly up past the brink but when they looked, they saw First, back in her human form. Her clothes were different however. She still had on the black coat but now her coat had strange white markings all over it (A/N: Think the inverse of Xemnas's Final Form). Sora and Namine quickly turned towards her, raising their weapons defensively.
"The lot of you have officially worn out my patience. You haven't been able to stop me yet! You should've listened to your friend, the former Superior, when he warned you of my power! Now you and your friends, especially Nixe's beloved Riku, are doomed to the Darkness." First said as her swords appeared in the air behind her.
"Wrong!" a voice yelled. This voice caused First's eyes to widen in alarm. She looked and saw Xenix standing between her and Riku's unconscious form, her standing defensively with her arms straight out to the sides, her Keyblade in hand, her hood down.
"As long as we've still got a fight left in us, we'll never allow ourselves to give in to the Darkness!" Xenix declared as First glared at her.
"That voice…that face…you can't be-…" First stammered before convulsing slightly, a look of pain on her face as she clutched her chest as a loud heartbeat echoed from within her.
"Did you see that?" Namine asked, she and the others having noticed First's reactions, another heartbeat sounding out, causing First to convulse in pain once again.
"Nixe." Sora gasped. None of them noticed the sound of footsteps approaching from nearby.
"No! Her body! I cannot allow this! I will not allow this!" First yelled, raising both hands towards Xenix, her swords all pointed towards her, the young Nobody widening her eyes in fear.
"Huh?!" she gasped.
"Return to Darkness, you little WRETCH!" First screeched, her swords rocketing towards Xenix.
"Xenix! Look out!" Namine exclaimed, she and Sora attempting to block but the swords moved too fast for them and blew past them. Xenix raised her Keyblade defensively and clinched her eyes shut but was startled when she felt something shove her hard in the right side, sending her to the floor as the sound of the swords striking flesh could be heard.
"What?!" "Huh?!" "No way!" she the others exclaim in surprise. Xenix cracked open an eye and saw that First was stood in midair with a look of alarm on her face, everyone else looking at where Xenix had been standing. She looked and what she saw, surprised her as well.
"What's up?" Prishe asked with a smug grin, standing tall and defiant in spite of the seven swords impaled through her body. She no longer wore the white clothes of the Sisterhood and was now wearing a purple variation, the same clothes she had worn eight years ago, prior to her being turned immortal (A/N: her usual Final Fantasy XI attire).
"Prishe?!" Namine exclaimed as Prishe shot her a two fingered salute.
"Hey Sev, hope you don't mind my bailing on you guys earlier. Thought a change of clothes was needed for the change of allegiances." Prishe said as First recoiled in alarm.
"You?! You dare betray me?! You realize I'm the only one who can free you from your curse!" First yelled but Prishe merely grinned challengingly up towards her.
"Yeah, I know that all too well but you know what, you can take your spell breaker and shove it up your steaming old skank of a keister! I'm not going to help you destroy all that I care about anymore! I'm not going to stand idly by and let you do it either! So you better just kill me now because I'm about to unload eight years of a much overdue and dually vigorous ass whoopin' on you for what you've done to me, my friends, and most importantly for what you've done to Nixe!" Prishe yelled as Namine looked towards First who seemed to be visibly unnerved by Prishe's betrayal. A quick look at her memories made her realize why and this caused Namine to smirk.
"You up for one last mission, Prishe?" Namine asked, dropping into a fighting stance. Prishe responded by punching her fists together, the Destroyers firmly on her hands, the Destroyers making a loud metallic clanging sound upon impact.
"You know it, Sev!" Prishe replied as First snarled.
"Abhorrent brat! You will pay for-ngh!" First grunted as another heartbeat echoed from her chest, something which Sora noticed, causing him to narrow his gaze towards First with a determined glare, a white light starting to appear around him (Battle Music Cue: Dismiss – BBS).
"NIXE!" Sora shouted, catching everyone's attention as the glow around him intensified. Riku even began to come around as Sora glared up at First.
"Nixe! I know you can hear us! We're here! We're here to get you back! We're not going down until you're free! So give her everything you've got in there! Fight back because we're going to fight for YOU!" Sora yelled as all four of his Keyblades appeared floating in the air around him, his armor forming around him again along with a flowing royal blue cape as he literally shined with light.
"What is this?!" First asked, confused. Namine suddenly thrust her Keyblade towards First, causing countless chains to burst from the ground via the small grey portals, the chains all converging on First. Sora knelt down before making a mighty leap, launching himself into the air, Keyblades spinning around him as Namine grabbed onto one of the chains, riding it towards First. Prishe merely grinned as First quickly recalled her swords but ended up dragging Prishe straight towards her, the sight of the incoming Abhorrent One making her recoil in alarm.
"Pucker up, you old hag!" Prishe yelled, delivering a vicious blow to First's stomach before being slung free of the blades, freefalling for a moment before grabbing onto one of Namine's chains. At the same time, Namine flew past First on her chain, letting go and letting gravity give her the necessary speed for an overhead attack. First narrowly deflected the attack with her single blade, shield, and fairy wing combo, a look of alarm in her eyes, something Namine noticed.
"I know why you fear her! I see it in your memories!" Namine said before First quickly launched her back, Namine grappling onto another chain. First then had to defend against Sora as he literally flew at her, Keyblades spinning around him as he flew. When he reached her, he started unleashing a flurry of fast and powerful attacks, grabbing Keyblades from out of the air, attacking, then releasing them to grab another, each Keyblade leaving a streak of light with every swing.
"Fight, Nixe! Fight! We're not giving up on you!" Sora yelled as First struggled to keep up her defense. Sora then grabbed two Keyblades in one hand, holding them parallel to each other, before swinging at First, the two Keyblades hitting her shield just below the arm. First's eyes widened in shock and disbelief as one of the two blades making up the shield, sword number 7, was shattered by the attack, the sword breaking into shimmering shards of white light which vanished in black wisps.
"What?!" First yelped, trying to put some distance between her and Sora but when she turned to flee, Prishe came flying in on a chain and delivered a devastating kick across the face, sending First flying across the sky. Prishe was grinning as she leapt to another chain.
"I think I just found my new favorite pastime! Kick the can!" Prishe chortled as First regained control, her face scuffed up from the attack.
"Impudent little br-ARGH!" She groaned as another heartbeat, one that was much louder this time, echoed from within her chest. She looked down to see a faint white light appearing.
"No! I will never set you free! This is my Heart!" First yelled defiantly. On the Brink, Xenix, heard this and her eyes widened.
"Nixe…my heart." She whispered to no one in particular before turning and grabbing onto one of the chains, her Keyblade in hand as she rode the chain towards First. Namine arrived first however, the two Nobodies locking blades together. First was using two single blades now, Namine with the chains helping to give her a little extra push to keep First at bay.
"That's not your heart! It never was! And now it's fighting back!" Namine yelled as First snarled back in defiance.
"I will not allow myself to fade! I'll send you back first before I allow that to happen!" First argued, one of her fairy wing blades, sword number 6, suddenly flipping up to aim itself at Namine. Namine noticed this and quickly fell back just as the sword launched towards her but was intercepted by Sora who came barreling in with Oathkeeper and Oblivion in hand, catching the sword between his Keyblades before proceeding to shatter the sword. First was in a state of shock.
"No! This is impossible!" she cried out, turning to flee but quickly had to raise another defense as Xenix came flying in with her Keyblade raised.
"That's my heart! Give me my heart!" Xenix yelled, her Keyblade impacting against First's single blade with a loud ringing sound.
"DIE!" First yelled with fury as she tried to bring around another blade, sword number 5, but the sword was caught from behind in the tooth of the Kingdom Key. First whirled around just as Sora pulled back on the Keyblade, the force of this alone being enough to shatter the fifth blade. First quickly teleported clear, attempting to open a Corridor of Darkness and escape but another heartbeat echoed from within her, causing the corridor to collapse.
"NO!" she grunted as a chain flew up past her. She looked down in time for Prishe to come flying up, rolling her right arm around like a windmill.
"Light's! OUT!" Prishe shouted, delivering a powerful uppercut to First's jaw, sending her flying higher into the air. First managed to regain control in midair. First snarled at Prishe as she came flying towards her, the Abhorrent One's arm reared back for another attack but this time First was ready, batting her away with a quick reconfiguration to a single sword made of her four remaining blades.
"Prishe!" Namine exclaimed as Prishe sailed towards the ground. Prishe merely grinned, resting her hands behind her head as she plummeted.
"I'm cool, yo! I've done this like a zillion times! See ya at the botto~om!" Prishe called cheerily. Namine couldn't help but smile a little at Prishe's attitude. She then turned and saw Xenix get repelled by an attack from First and quickly swung over towards her.
"I've got'cha!" Namine exclaimed as she caught Xenix out of midair, swinging the both of them towards the Brink where they landed safely. First watched this with a snarl of frustration and was about to make a move when another heartbeat echoed from within her chest, causing her to convulse in pain again.
"How is this happening?! How am I losing this?!" she exclaimed, clutching her chest.
"NIXE!" she heard Sora call out from behind. She whirled around and saw him rocketing towards her, his helmet gone and Two Become One and Oathkeeper in hand while Oblivion and Kingdom Key floated behind him. First quickly reconfigured her four remaining blades into two shields that floated between him and her.
"I won't let you take my heart!" First declared, as Sora let go of all four Keyblades, the Keyblades all pointing themselves at the shields on their own before converging forward, thrusting themselves forward into the shields as light streamed off of them, a vapor cone of light forming around Sora as he used all his power against the shields.
"Nixe! We're not going to abandon you! Fight her! You can do it! None of us are giving up on you! NONE OF US ARE!" Sora yelled, ignoring First completely and appealing directly to Nixe's heart. First's eyes widened in fear as she saw a crack forming in the first shield, the third and fourth swords. There was another heartbeat that caused First to grimace in pain, but at the same time, the shield shattered, both blades vanishing in an instant, causing her to gasp in fear.
"NO!" First cried out as Sora brought his full might against her final shield. She then saw a light starting to glow in her chest, a glow that was getting brighter and brighter.
"Nixe! Take my hand! I won't let you go! I promise I will never let you go!" Sora yelled as First grabbed hold of the two swords' handles, trying to push resist. Suddenly sword number two shattered, leaving only one sword remaining. Sora then reached out a hand towards the light in First's chest.
"NIXE!" Sora yelled. First struggled against his power, fighting with all her might as her lone remaining sword, sword number 1, rattled in her hand, a crack appearing on it. She then felt another heartbeat only this time it remained steady.
"SORA!" an ethereal voice echoed from within her chest. She looked down and gasped in shock as a glowing hand made of light reached out from within the light in her chest, grabbing hold of Sora's hand. Sora grinned with joy as he started to pull.
"NIXE! I WON'T! LET! GO!" Sora yelled, just as the last sword shattered, releasing a blinding light that lit up the sky (End Battle Music). Across the battlefield below, the Guardians were still fighting off Heartless when the light appeared, the light forcing the Heartless back into the shadows. The Guardians all turned to look up at the light, each of them awestruck at the heavenly light.
"What is that?" Fang asked.
"It's beautiful." Cissnei said. Isa, Reno, Medy, Ludro, Laaurim, Arlene, Mickey, Yen Sid, Donald, Goofy, Oswald, and Vincent however all knew what the light was and each smiled at it.
"It's Sora." Reno remarked. Back up on the Brink, the others looked up in awe at the light, Terra and Riku shielding themselves as the light started to fade, revealing a sky full of stars, the moon overhead although slightly hidden as the morning sun started to crest over the horizon, the clouds having been forced away. They also saw Sora falling towards the ground in the fetal position, still armored and still slightly glowing although his Keyblades had vanished. They all watched him fall towards the Brink before his speed dramatically decreased and he gently touched down on his own two feet on the top, revealing a glowing pink heart clutched in his hands.
"I'm here Nixe, I'm not letting go." He whispered, to the heart which seemed to shimmer slightly in response, almost acknowledging his presence. Everyone was smiling at the sight, that is until they heard a labored breathing from nearby. They looked and saw First, her clothes having reverted to their usual white, her right eye back to its solid black, looking haggard as she staggered forward, the handle of her broken sword still clutched in her hand with only a jagged fragment of the blade itself still in hand.
"My heart…you little punk." She hissed as she limped towards him, holding her side, a look of pure and unbridled fury in her eyes. Sora only scowled at her, holding Nixe's Heart close to his own, defensively. First then raised her broken sword like a dagger.
"Give it to me! Give me back my-…" She yelled before gasping with pain, convulsing forward. Everyone's eyes widened at this, especially as First looked down to see the tip of the Bright Crest Keyblade bursting out from within her chest.
"Eye for an eye, First." Si'Lea said to her old foe as she stood behind her, having run First through from behind, looking First in the eye from over the Nobody's left shoulder. Darkness started to rise from around First as Si'Lea pulled her Keyblade free from First's back. First staggered backwards slightly, a look of shock on her face, the remnants of her sword vanishing as the First Sister started to fade into Darkness.
"So…this is how it ends…" First mused as she looked the Warriors of Light over. She then smiled, almost contently so, looking at Si'Lea as the Darkness intensified around her.
"…and yet…I don't feel angry…I feel strangely…at peace." First said before fading away completely, leaving nothing behind. There was an awkward silence, reality beginning to sink in. Si'Lea allowed a tear to run down her face, finally feeling relieved for the first time in eleven years as she collapsed onto her hands and knees.
"Master…I've done it." She whispered. She then noticed a pair of sandal covered feet approach her, a warm and caring hand placed on her back (A/N: It helps if you cue up "Transformation" from the Beauty and the Beast Soundtrack here for ambiance).
"Hey, don't be upset." Xenix said, Si'Lea looking up at her, uncertain of what to think or to say, a look of uncertainty on her face. Xenix was smiling at her. Xenix then turned towards Sora who still held Nixe's Heart in hand. Sora smiled as he approached her, Xenix turning towards him. Si'Lea sat up as the two came face to face. Sora held out the heart towards her, Xenix reaching forward and gently taking the heart in her hands. The minute heart and body touched, the heart started to shine with a radiant light. Sora let go and backed away as Xenix smiled at the heart, the winds starting to pick up around them.
"Whoa, fancy light show." Axel commented before gently being shushed by a smiling Namine. Ribbons of light started to swirl around both Xenix and the heart, lifting her up into the air. Xenix looked to Riku with a smile, Riku smiling back with a nod. Xenix and the heart suddenly transformed into pure luminance, Xenix's entire body becoming nothing but light, her clothes vanishing as the heart proceeded to move into Xenix's chest, the two merging together, ribbons of light swirling around them, moving faster and faster as Xenix curled into the fetal position for a moment before throwing her arms and legs straight out, releasing a shockwave of light. Suddenly her body began to materialize again but this time clad in a familiar apprentice's clothes, right down to the white strips of cloth binding her hair in a wolf's tail hairstyle. A familiar shoulder guard of Keyblade Armor appeared on her shoulder as the reformed Nixe floated gently down to the ground, seemingly unconscious as the light faded. A stunned Si'Lea scrambled over to Nixe's side, trying to shake her awake.
"Nixe? Nixe! Speak to me!" Si'Lea pleaded. After a second, Nixe winced with a tired moan, opening a tired eye. (Music Cue: Sanctuary – KH2)
"Mom?" she whispered as Si'Lea smiled, tears running down her face.
"Nixe! Oh my little girl!" Si'Lea cried, pulling Nixe into a warm and loving hug. Nixe was confused for a moment before she remembered everything and put her arms around her master with a similarly relieved smile.
"Mom!" Nixe cried.

"I'm so sorry." Nixe sobbed, but Si'Lea merely smiled.
"Oh, Nixe." She chuckled, helping the young Apprentice to her feet.

Master and Apprentice then turned towards their assembled friends with a smile.
"Come on, let's go home." Si'Lea said as they started for the stairs.

On Nomanisan, the Incredibles were in their civilian guises, leaving a track meet in town, when there was an explosion from a nearby bank. The four looked at each other with knowing smirks before donning their masks, Mr. Incredible ripping open his shirt to reveal his super suit underneath.
