Episode 15: Game of Woes

Finalists

Ai vs. Leroy

The cameras begin showing a night sky, with fireworks going off. "Welcome to the season finale of Total Drama: The Mentorship!" Chris said, as the camera panned down to him. "It's been an epic season, with more drama than even this show can handle! It's come down to this: the average guy Leroy, who won the heart of psycho powered Vivian versus revenge-bent Ai, who got her heart broken by Ben. It's a battle of true love and ideal circumstances on TOTAL. DRAMA. THE MENTORSHIP." After a moment's pause, Chris looked down. "Hey, you missed a spot!" The camera panned down revealing Justin was still scrubbing the dock with the toothbrush from last episode. He groaned and scrubbed at it harder.

The next morning, Chris blared off the air horn. "Finalists! Meet me at the amp theater in ten minutes!" He called out.

Ai and Leroy were already wide awake. Ai hadn't washed the purple out of her hair, but once again her hair was silver. She tied it up into a ponytail, and put on a sweatband for her head. "No distractions! I have to focus on winning this game!" She said. She then picked up Tomato, but had a look of mild surprise when she realized she had to bend a bit more than usual to pick him up. "Right... No distractions."

In the Rome cabin, Leroy was hugging his picture of Vivian. "Don't worry Vivian! I'm going to win today! I am going to win for us! No mutant is going to get past me!"

At the amp theater, Ai and Leroy got up onto the stage, as Chris walked between them. "Welcome Ai and Leroy to your final challenge. You both had to work extra hard to get here, and I'm sure you could use some motivation from your friends."

As he said this, Chef put a flag with Ai's face by one section of the bleachers, and one of Leroy by the other. When he finished, the other eleven eliminated campers walked in from backstage. By Leroy's flag, Primrose, Stella, Crystal, Patrick, Riley, Ben and Vivian sat down. By Ai's flag, Phillip, Jennifer, Hana and Raymond sat.

"Quite the divide we got in terms of support. It's hardly a surprise, since Ai went out of her way on many occasions to be nasty..." Chris said with a snigger, as Vivian and Ben glared at her. Ai gulped. "But then again, Leroy is a guy of many secrets."

"What does that mean?" Leroy asked nervously.

"All in good time. And now, let's see who our mentors plan to support." Chris said. Owen and Gwen went up on stage. Heather, Katie, Sadie, Harold, Dawn, Justin, Noah, Ezekiel, Trent, Cody and Sierra went over to Leroy's side. Only Eva went to Ai's side.

"Uh, Ai, when did you get taller?" Gwen asked, now having to look up at her pupil.

"I was just going to ask when you got smaller..." Ai said quietly. "It must be more side effects from the nuclear waste."

Eva glared as she sat down next to Jenn. Jenn raised an eyebrow at her. "I don't like either. But I don't support love-sick wimps." Eva growled at her. Jenn shrugged.

Jenn: I honestly don't care about how many support Leroy or not. Ai has my support, and that can count for a whole million, if not more.

Ai: I'm actually surprised at the amount of support I have right now. Its way more than I thought it would be.

Leroy: Ai is so screwed with her amount of supporters. I guess it goes to show bad attitudes really don't take you far.

"Now, I don't think I have to remind anyone of what Ai has done this season. You know, insulting her whole team claiming they were below standards, trying to enforce these 120 standards..." As Chris said this, he took out her old and worn-out scroll.

Ai gasped. "How did you get that?"

"It's amazing how things have a wonderful way of ending up in my hands. Shall I start reading a few of these standards?" Chris said, despite Ai shaking her head no vigorously. "Standard number thirty-five: in order to prove trust and loyalty, the potential guy has to agree to let me apply a tracker and hidden cameras. If they have nothing to hide, there should be no reason to object."

Ai immediately tried to protest. "But if you read my newer standards, which I decided not to use anymore, you'd see that I got rid of that particular old one and many other bad ones like it!"

Ben: The only reason I can't bring myself to support Ai is because it just doesn't feel right. I mean, I wasn't exactly nice to her... -he shudders- guilt is a terrible feeling.

Chris shrugged. "Hey, makes no difference to me if you use these or new ones, or none at all."

"Looks like you really dug yourself into a very deep hole this time Ai. No getting out of this one." Leroy said in triumph.

"Ah, Leroy. I didn't forget about you." Chris said, taking out a remote and pushing a button. A large flat screen came down. "I know in the promos you were labeled as being the "normal" guy, much like former contestant Dave. But I think that it's time for you to come out if the closet, my fur-obsessed friend."

"What? No! I gave no indications of what my private life involved! Not even my parents know!" Leroy cried out.

"Actually, it was your parents who gave it away. Remember when I let you guys in the final four get some messages from home? Why don't we show everyone what you had mail ordered to your house."

Leroy's parents are sitting on a sofa. They looked a generic family in a generic house. "Hello son. It's your parents!" Said his father, waving at the camera.

"Leroy sweetie, we are so proud of you for getting this far in Total Drama. We know you will win!" His mother added.

"Also, nice job winning the girl! You take right after your old man! Although I do wonder why this came in the mail?" His father then bent down and pulled up a costume of a fox. "Don't you think you're a bit old now to go trick-or-treating, son?"

"Or this comic that came in the mail about some sort of 'furry' adventures."

"Wonder if it has to do with that Pretty Little Pony stuff... Either way, we're rooting for you son!" His father said, as his mother blew him a kiss.

Everyone cringed when the video finished. "Seriously? You're one of... Them?" Ben asked.

Ben: As a brony, I can safely tell you that those furry lovers are creeps! I mean really, who willingly wants to dress up in those fur suit costumes and draw comics and write stories I can't even safely talk about on television!

"And you're a brony! You guys are infamous for enjoying that "clopping" stuff." Leroy accused.

"What's clopping?" Katie whispered to Sadie.

"I think it's the sound a horse makes when it walks!" Sadie said with triumph.

Harold then leaned over to them and whispered what it was. They both then gave blank looks. "Sorry I asked." Katie said.

"Not all of the bronies enjoy that! Only a few do, and they gave the rest of us bad names." Ben said. He then got up and walked over to Ai's side. "You being a furry is enough to make me change sides."

Ai smiled for a moment, until she realized that he only swapped sides because of an Internet faction, not because she had redeemed herself.

Ai: I kind of hoped to avoid Ben... I mean, after all I did, I don't deserve his kindness. Even if he got what he -she then slaps her forehead- no, I can't say that...

Riley then stood up. "But furries are awesome! I mean, you bronies just limit yourselves to horses. Furries have access to all manner of creature! Hehe… Like sharks!"

"Besides," Leroy added, "I may be trying out a fursuit when I go home, but not all furries enjoy them. And some furries are very artistic and make detailed art that's not naughty!"

By this point, Chris had had enough and blared off his air horn. "Enough! All eyes and attention on me!" He said. "Now that I did all of my dirty laundry, it's time to start off our final challenge!" At this moment, Chef walked in carrying a large number cube. "Because a large demographic of the Internet consists of bronies and we want to reach out to our Internet viewers, today's challenge is a classic board game! Pretty Little Total Drama Pony style! Patent pending."

Ai shrugged, not impressed. Leroy made a gagging sound. "That's the best you could do? A board game?" Leroy grumbled.

"Oh, this is not just any board game. The island is marked up into different thirteen squares. After you build your own custom robot pony, which you can keep as a consolation prize, the mentors will roll our giant number cube. After each roll, a former competitor will decide what kind of torture to subject you to. You will be allowed to move for your first turn and then take your challenge. But after that, if you fail to accept or complete a challenge, you face a penalty of forfeiting your turn and allowing your rival to move twice." Chris said. "The winner and/or survivor of the challenges not only gets to keep their robot pony also wins the million dollar prize and their mentor not only gets one million dollars, but will become host of the next season of Total Drama!"

Ai and Leroy locked eyes and glared. The hype was up, the prizes worthy, the challenge accepted.

Chris then blared off the air horn. "Your robot parts are by the cabins! When both are ready, we'll start the board game! Challenge start!"

At the cabins, Ai arrived first, and started digging around for black metal parts.

Ai: My favorite character in Pretty Little Pony was Queen Insectzoid. She appeared in the Unification Arc, trying to impersonate the Crystal Empress during the royal wedding. Unfortunately, she was defeated by the the Empress and her love-based magic.

As she worked, Jenn came up from behind. "So, you volunteered yourself to become a science experiment huh?"

Ai looked up and smiled. "Oh Jenn! I... I didn't expect you to help me. I want to properly apologize about..."

Jenn put a finger on Ai's lips to silence her. "The past is in the past. I forgave you a long time ago. But for now, tell me what you're trying to do and I'll make it better."

By now, Leroy, Vivian and Patrick arrived and went digging through their pile of parts. Leroy felt a little awkward around Vivian now. "Vivi, I hope that this morning doesn't..."

"It doesn't change a thing." Vivian said with a smile. It was then that Leroy noticed that she had a small mechanical device on her forehead. "Oh, you're looking at my new accessory?" Leroy nodded, pulling out a part that could pass for a leg. "I went to a scientist who specializes in ESP control and manipulation. He gave me this to help me focus my energy when I feel a sudden surge in power. So, for example..."

Vivian looked at the long metal rod Ai and Jenn were trying to bend into the shape of a wing. Vivian's eyes glowed blue and then her headpiece also started glowing blue. Then the metal piece exploded, causing the two girls to be covered in soot.

"I deserved that..." Ai muttered.

"No, no you didn't!" Jenn said. "Just wait until the real challenge begins. I have something extra special planned for Leroy."

Ai didn't bother to ask what exactly. She had a hunch she didn't want to know.

About an hour later, Leroy and Ai had finished up their robot ponies. Ai grinned. Hers looked almost identical to the evil pony queen, but instead of having blue hair, Ai gave her purple hair.

"Alright, one last adjustment to your 'reins' here, and you're all set." Jenn said as she finished putting in her jet pack into the robot's wings. The handle bars were flipped over so Ai could use them as a grip or control them as necessary.

"This is awesome! I can't thank you enough Jenn!" Ai said. "I don't know how I could ever repay you..."

"Oh, we'll discuss the subject of payment later." Jenn said, fluffing at Ai's silver hair. "Hmm... You know, silver really is your color."

Leroy, Vivian and Patrick stared in awe at Ai's ride. Leroy had given his robot a unicorn horn and wings, and didn't bother with color coordination at all. "I hate to say it, Leroy, but compared to the one Ai made, yours looks atrocious." Patrick commented.

"Who cares? I remember from my short viewing of Pretty Little Pony that the ones with wings and horns are the strongest and have the fewest issues." Leroy said.

"You mean it's a Mary Sue." Patrick retorted teasingly.

Leroy: See this is another reason the furries are better. There are fewer opportunities for an OP Mary Sue.

Ai: I may not be the greatest "brony" or "pegasister" but even I know to respect the unspoken rules of making an OC. -she shakes her head-

Leroy rolled his eyes as Chris came forth. "Alright finalists, head on over to the starting line. The rest of you, back to the amp theater! Although the finalists need all the help they can get, you aren't providing it."

At the starting line, Leroy struggled to wheel his pony. It was heavy and couldn't be pushed by any other means. Ai's robot was, thanks to Jenn, operated by a control panel on the back of the robot's head. Ai could easily ride her robot to victory.

Chef stood with a flag, and from the speakers, they could hear what was going on at the amp theater. "Alright Heather, since your pupil got kicked off first, you get to roll the cube first... And Heather rolls a four for Ai."

Ai pushed a button and her robot pony trotted off. She walked through the forest, which had been colored blue to represent the first square. Then they passed the bat cave, which was yellow. Then the bottom of the Sasquatch mountain, which was green. Ai finally had the robot stop as they entered the squirrel grove, which was colored purple.

"And the competitor to decide Ai's torture is..." The sound of a wheel spinning is heard at this, "Riley!"

"I got the perfect one for you, Wonder Woman!" Riley said, sounding over eager. "Trivia question, and if you're wrong, you get skunk sprayed! Wonder Woman lost her super powers in which era?"

Ai: -sigh- I have read all sorts if books, but comic books aren't my usual choice.

Ai groaned. "I don't know! The 1960s?"

"And you are... Correct?" Riley sounded shocked. "Huh. Guess no skunk spray for you."

"And now it's Trent's turn to roll the cube... Leroy gets a five!" Chris said. Leroy began the long arduous hike of pushing his robot. After about five minutes, he finally made his way to the fifth square, a blue one. "Bout time you showed up... Anyway, the contestant to torture you is... Primrose!"

"Do I have to?" Primerose complained. "Well, if I must decide something, then I say Leroy has been tortured enough and should go on."

Leroy: Primrose, you are so awesome!

Ai: -she just raises her eyebrow, completely not surprised-

"Well, alright then..." Chris said hesitantly. "Harold, you're up."

"At least this cube should be a lot lighter than it looks... Ugh! Too... Heavy..."

"And lucky you, Ai, he dropped a two." Chris said. Ai sighed, knowing she would have to take the challenge before she moved ahead. "And the contestant to torture you is... Patrick!"

Patrick: Ai and I are on shaky territory. I never did get her fully involved in my alliance, but then again I never wronged her either. I wonder what she expects me to do...

"Alright Ai. To pass my square you have to get shocked by electric eels." Patrick said.

"You're kidding!" Ai cried out. "Haven't I been through enough these past few weeks?"

"Not really. Now take the charge or you lose your turn." Patrick said with a snigger. Ai groaned as Chef walked up to her wearing rubber gloves and holding a long, wriggling eel. She got off her robot and stepped away from it. No point in shorting it out. He put the eel on her, and it shocked her enough to cause everyone to see her slightly mutant skeleton.

Jenn: Awesome!

Patrick: So she's got an evil streak, sexy silver hair, and the endurance and strength of an ox. I like it.

Ai looked frizzled and scorched after the eel was removed. She could only hope to catch a break from the others. She pushed the button on her control panel and went off towards the sixth square.

The camera then flashed back to the amp theater, focusing back on Chris, Owen and Gwen. Chris then pushed them aside so he was the sole focus. "Will Ai survive? Will Leroy ever get a challenge? Will I reveal more secrets? Find out, after this!"

After finishing Patrick's challenge, a montage of the next few moves on the board game was shown. Ai was subjected to eating raw and uncleaned fish (Crystal's challenge), having to sit through the ending of Naruto and not complain about it (Stella's challenge), take an ice bath, which had little water and mostly ice for ten minutes (Vivian's challenge), and then kiss Phillip and act like she enjoyed it (Jenn's challenge, but Ai was seen freaking out when Phillip got too close and instead, she chose to take a penalty on that and miss a turn). Leroy had an easier time. Riley, Patrick and Stella let him off without doing anything. Raymond had him lift seventy pound weights for two minutes. Leroy didn't make it and had to accept a penalty and skip his turn. By now Ai was able to have a turn again and luckily got Hana on her spin. Hana didn't make Ai do anything, much to Ai's relief, and Ai made her way to the eleventh square. Leroy was now at the ninth square, with a roll of a two now. If he could complete this challenge, he'd be tie with Ai. He heard Chris spin the wheel and Chris announced that Ben was going to make the challenge. Leroy's eyes narrowed. This was the challenge he was hoping to get.

"Bring it on, brony! I can handle it!" Leroy shouted.

"Heh... Let's see how you feel after..." Ben started but never had the chance to finish. At that moment, a spider's web suddenly landed on the ground in front of Leroy.

"No...! It can't be!" Leroy cried out, recognizing the pattern at once. At that, Izzy landed onto the webbing. "Spider Izzy!"

"You actually remembered me? Aww that's sweet! Hehehe!" Izzy gave a laugh and cleaned off the web from her clothing. "Wow, nice robo pony you got there."

"Um... Thanks?" Leroy replied nervous.

Izzy made a hissing noise as she stroked the robot face.

Leroy: So, for a moment, I thought everything was cool. I kinda got used to dealing with wild animals, if Izzy counts as one...

"So, uh, Izzy, where have you been hanging out since the hotel incident?" Leroy asked, rubbing the back of his head. "We haven't seen you in so long."

"Oh, that's easy; I've been in hiding from the Green Goblin. Yeah, apparently he was able to track me down and wanted to interrogate me as to what kind of radiation I was exposed to. So I had to hide in the underground and..." As Izzy went on and on about her grand escapade, Leroy and the other contestants had a combination of blank, shocked, and horrified expressions. Riley muttered about his disappointment in not being able to meet a real Spiderwoman in person. Eventually, Leroy cut in.

"Um, you realize the Green Goblin is just from comic books right?" There was an awkward silence, as Izzy's eyes went wide. Then when Leroy began to realize his mistake in saying that, he started to nervously laugh. "Well, it is the truth..."

Vivian: -facepalms- oh, my lovable idiot. Ai is supposed to have the big mouth, not you!

Ai: Ah, the tables have turned at last!

One minute, Leroy was nervously laughing. The next, Izzy was pouncing on him and they were soon surrounded by a dust cloud. "Izzy...!" Leroy whimpered out. When the cloud settled, Leroy was covered in spider webbing and had a black eye.

"That was AWESOME." Chris said, laughing rudely. "Audiences always love an unplanned Izzy encounter. Especially when someone gets hurt. No need for Leroy to do Ben's challenge!"

"Aren't you going to set Leroy free?" Vivian asked, sounding upset.

"Mmm, nah! It makes things more interesting. We'll allow Owen to push him though for the rest of the challenge."

Leroy had a look of shock and tried to shake his head no to protest, but the webbing was too strong. When Owen finally got there, he groaned loudly.

"Isn't this fantastic, Leo? We get to spend the last few minutes together! Cause after you win, the whole season is over!" Owen said, picking up Leroy and roughly tossing him onto the robot pony.

"Nnnmmmgaaaahhhh..." Leroy mumbled. On the bottom if the screen, captions appeared, translating for him. No, not really. And it's Leroy!

Jenn: I had initially intended to plant some land mines for Leroy, but that plan backfired royally. I was on the island since dawn this morning and Izzy found me and attacked me. -she holds up her skirt, revealing bruises- Luckily, she still has a sense of reason. So in exchange for my sword and pocket-size bombs, she would maul him good. Hey, at least no one suspects my involvement. -she gives an evil laugh-

By this point, Katie and Sadie went up to roll for Ai.

"We need to get her a one!" Sadie said.

"I know right? We have to make sure Leroy wins!" Katie added.

"Um, why are you two up here?" Chris asked, looking annoyed.

"You called Heather up twice!" Sadie replied, putting her hands on her hips.

"Yeah, and like, we were Patrick's mentors. We need a turn!" Katie protested.

"Well, Patrick didn't exactly use you guys at all. He went to Heather for everything, so I thought you guys didn't work together anymore." Chris said. The two girls turned towards Patrick with fire in their eyes. He gulped and Sadie whipped out a pillow, Katie a dodgeball. Patrick ran off screaming as the dodgeball was flung at him and Sadie charged with her pillow.

Chris winced. "Oh, that's not gonna end well." He then shrugged. "Gwen, go roll for your pupil."

"Alright. Let's get this over with and get her a two or more..."

"Oh, yeah, minor rule change: by this point Ai and Leroy can only progress if they get either a one or a two. If you get more than two, they can't move and will have to take a challenge if they want to stay alive in this game." Chris said as everyone else gasped. He laughed. "I'm going to miss all this absolute power."

Gwen nervously took the cube and tossed it. She landed a one. Gwen sighed. "Better than a useless challenge."

Ai looked over at Owen and Leroy. Owen gave a wave and Ai gave a small wave back. She then went off to the next square. The amp theater was now in view, the finish line awaiting. She could see Cody come up now to toss the number cube for Leroy. "Come on, get him a three!" She whispered. Cody ended up landing a six, and Chris spun the wheel.

"And Jenn will decide what kind of torture Leroy will be subjected to." Chris said. "And no passes! He has to do something!"

"Oh don't you worry, I got this covered. Leroy, I want you to kiss Hana and act like you enjoy it!" Jenn said.

"What?!" Cried Hana, Raymond, and Vivian.

"That's not right! I wanted to be Hana's first proper kiss." Raymond said.

"And I wanted Raymond to be my first kiss!" Hana added. Ai squinted and could see the muscle jock holding Hana protectively in his arms.

"And how dare you force Leroy to do this! He's my boyfriend! Mine! Not Hana's! Not Ai's! He's mine!" Vivian said, her eyes glowing bright red in anger.

"Oh crap! Jenn, run!" Ai called out. But too late, Vivian's headpiece broke and her eyes went from red to pure glowing white, and she started blowing up the various support beams and poles of the amp theater, causing everything to start collapsing. The losers, mentors, Chris and Chef all ran when Vivian turned towards the bleachers.

Dawn paused and turned back. "This is wonderful!" She said sweetly.

"How is this wonderful? She's destroying everything!" Heather snapped.

"But her aura... It suddenly is calm and stable, meaning her overload of ESP is gone now." Dawn said, sounding pleased.

"You know what, who cares? You're as big a freak as she is!" Heather said, running again.

Vivian then closed her eyes and as she reopened them, the bleachers exploded, creating a massive shockwave. The camera then went out with static...

After a long pause, the camera is restored, showing the amp theater in pieces. The wreckage ended up covering the last few squares of the board game, so Ai, Leroy and Owen were not seen. Chris and Chef walked back up to the wreck. "My amp theater!" Chris said, tears in his eyes. "My precious amp theater!"

"It wasn't going to be yours after tonight. Our producers' contract takes effect at 11:59 tonight." Chef said. "It's the new host's issue."

The losers and mentors gasped. "But I thought you said you were retiring!" Jenn said.

"I am retiring." Chris said with a pause. Then he held up his new contract. "From hosting! From now on, Chef and I producing the future seasons of Total Drama!"

"So that means..." Riley started, gulping at this thought.

"That means I have control over what goes on. Total control!" Chris said, rubbing his hands together. "That's where Chef and I went for so long. We had to work out the lawyer talk and assert our command."

"Well, you guys won't get to do anything if you don't declare a winner." Stella noted.

Chris and Chef gasped, realizing they forgotten about the finalists. Dawn was already pulling out Vivian from the wreck. "What happened? Why do I feel so... Good?"

"You finally managed to dispose of your excessive ESP. From what your aura tells me, you won't be able to access it anymore." Dawn said, dusting her off.

"You mean, Leroy won't be in danger from me anymore?" Vivian asked weakly.

"That's right. All that ESP you pent up within you from childhood has been released and now you won't harm anyone with it." Dawn said. The two girls hugged.

"And we have a winner!" Chris suddenly cried out, as Chef pulled out someone from the wreckage. He turned around, with Ai in his arms, coughing and gagging on the dirt. "Congratulations to Ai! She has just won Total Drama: The Mentorship!"

Everyone cheered, Jenn the loudest of the bunch. She hugged Ai tightly. "You won! I knew you would!"

Owen then popped up out of the rubble, holding Leroy in his arms. Vivian ran over to him and freed him from the webbing. "I'm sorry Vivi. I guess I just made a jerk of myself today... I couldn't even win..."

Vivian giggled. "But my ESP is gone! We can totally not worry anymore!" She then kissed him.

Owen then started crying. "And I really wanted to host the show too... Oh well. Guess I wasn't a very good mentor."

"Actually Owen..." Gwen said as she came up next to him, smiling, "...you will host the show."

Owen gasped. "You mean...?"

"Yup! I only came back to help Ai. I'll take my million, and you can host the show." Gwen said. Owen then picked her up and gave her a bear hug.

"This is so awesome! I am so psyched! Woohoo!" Owen cried out.

Ai smiled and got a small poke on the shoulder. "Hey... I wanted to apologize about... Well, everything." Ben said. "I shouldn't have been so hard on you."

"And I'm sorry too, for pushing you into the Whirlpool. I totally got what was coming to me too..." Ai said, fluffing at her silver hair.

"Hmm... Silver really is your color though." Ben said, and both laughed. "Anyway, let's just go home."

The camera then flashed to everyone on a boat, with all of their belongings. "And that's a wrap for this season! Tune in next time for even more drama and extreme challenges next season with your new host Owen, in Total Drama Generations. I'm Chris McLean, signing off for the last time for TOTAL. DRAMA. THE MENTORSHIP!"
