Hey guys! Thanks for all of the amazing feedback. Their are not many chapters i had planned after this one unfortunately but if you guys would like more i am more than happy to put down a few ideas to make more so let me know if this is something you would like. Hope you enjoy the chapter.
Rachel made her way back into her flat as Noah and Brody decided to wait downstairs.
"Send out Jessie." Brody shouted. "I'm sure he would do anything to get out of that flat." He added while Noah agreed laughing.
Rachel nodded before taking a deep breath before walking in. She knew shouting and being childish wouldn't help. She had to put the future of their child first and that's all that mattered.
"Hey." She said shyly walking into the living room seeing both Jessie and Finn sitting uncomfortably looking at each other.
Finn stood up as Jessie jumped out of his seat.
"Well, I've got to-" Jessie said looking at his watch. "I need to erm." He continued.
Rachel couldn't help but smile, she knew he was uncomfortable. "You don't need a excuse Jessie." She said laughing. "There are people waiting downstairs."
"Okay." Jessie said rushing out planting a kiss on her forehead.
As soon as the door was closed Finn and Rachel looked at each other for a minute.
"I'm sorry." They both said at the same time.
"Sorry?" Finn asked surprised. "What would you be sorry for?" He asked. "I'm the one that's sorry, being the source of all this situation." He added shaking his head.
"I.." Rachel sat and invited him to do the same. "I'm to blame too i mean." She said rubbing her belly. "I should have told you about the baby straight away and listened to what you had to say. And yesterday, well yesterday i was too stubborn recognise that i was to blame too." She shook her head. "I was childish and for that i'm sorry. I guess i still have some pretty good teenage protest gene in me."
Finn looked at her and smiled. "I missed that." He said with emotion. "You've no idea." He added keeping his eyes on Rachel, which made her blush even more.
"What did you miss?" She asked curiously.
"Your blushing of course." He said smirking. "It''s gives your face the most beautiful colour in the world."
Rachel looked down and started to play with her ring. "Thanks."
"Still have a problem with accepting compliments huh?"Finn asked in a lighter tone. "We have time to work on that."
Rachel nodded still looking down. "What do you want to do?" She asked.
"What do i want to do?" He asked surprised by the question.
Rachel looked up and shrugged.
"Well i intend to be there." He said still confused by her question. "Be in your life as much as you want me to be. I want to be here for our baby. As US is concerned well i love you, always have and-" He said clearing his throat. "Whatever happens nothing will change how i feel about you."
Rachel frowned in confusion.
"You never answered my question." Finn said taking a deep breath, he was so scared to ask the question but he needed to know, the answer to this would change everything about them. "It seems that you and Brody are more then... I mean are you two together?" He finally asked.
Rachel looked at Finn from the corner of her eyes. "There is a reason why i told Brody about the baby Finn. He was there for me when i needed someone." She said looking down. "But as strongly as i tried to fight it, i always knew my heart was yours so the answer to your question is no." She said taking his hand. "I'm not with Brody, but he was very good to me." She smiled. "He's a good friend, a good person."
Finn brought her hand to his lips. "You don't regret out kiss do you? Please tell me what i have to do to make everything okay." He asked in a begging tone.
"I don't regret the kiss and as for making things right, time can do that."She smiled kindly. "Let's take our time okay? And i will appreciate your help in the next few days when we go and tell me mam and Quinn that we are going to be parents soon."
Finn flashed a smile. "I like the sound of that." He said kissing her forehead. "And of course i will be there when you tell them. I'm here now and i'm never leaving you again.
Rachel nodded.
"So." Finn started wanting to change the subject. "Who do we have to announce the big news to? I know Jessie and Brody know, but is that it?"
"Not exactly." She said giggling. "Noah knows he's here. Oh and Lea Michele knows." She added seriously.
"Wait Puck?" Finn asked before hearing about Lea Michele. "Yeah and i bet shakira knows too." He added thinking Rachel was joking.
"No i'm serious." Rachel said biting her lip. "It's a long story but apart from me and you their are four people that know."
"Okay." Finn said thinking of what to say.
"Well." Rachel said feeling uncomfortable. "I have an appointment tomorrow with the doctor if you want to come, it's for an ultrasound." Finn nodded which brought a smile to Rachel's face. She stood up as Finn did the same. "Well, i think we did pretty well didn't we." She asked. She was really happy about how they were acting.
"Well i think we are more mature, that's for sure." He said laughing.
Rachel had a quick before laughing her belly.
Finn watched her. He really wanted to do that, he wanted to be close.
Rachel cleared her throat. "I don't want you to think your unwelcome and all that but i really need to take a shower then need to pop out."
"Oh okay." Finn said as Rachel turned around to walk to the front door, but Finn didn't move.
"Marry me Rachel." He blurted out, his eyes froze in horror as he watched her freeze her back still turned to him.
"What?" Rachel asked. Her eyes still fixed on the door.
"Marry me." He asked again.
Rachel cleared her throat. "Okay, i'm going to pretend like i didn't hear that and like you didn't say a word." She said calmly looking at the door. "It's just the emotions talking."
Finn shook his head. "I mean it Rachel, you said you still loved me like you did before." He took a deep breathe. "Please. Be my wife."
"I." Rachel said turning around to look at him. "Were not in the 50's anymore Finn." She said calmly. "I don't need you to make me a honest women." She said with sarcasm. "I can't believe your insulting me like that." She said shaking her head.
Finn smirked, he couldn't believe it. She thought he only asked her because of the baby.
Rachel pointed her finger at him. "Put away that smirk now! Or god help me i will hurt you."
Finn did his best to hide his smile. "Do you really think i would ask you to marry me because your pregnant? Really?" He asked.
"Yeah." Rachel answered like it was a fact.
Finn shook his head. "Aww, aren't you silly."
He saw her eyes light with anger but quickly interrupted her before she could speak.
"When you told Puck why we spilt did you never wonder why he believed you so fast?" He asked. "I mean really?" He said crossing his arms across his chest. "I mean sure you have some good lying skills."
Rachel opened her mouth but quickly shut it again.
"He believed you because Puck thought i would never leave you because." He said reaching into his pocked taking a little velvet box from it.
Rachel's eyes flew to the box and stayed glued on it, as shock ran through her body she quickly sat on the chair where she was standing.
Finn walked to Rachel and looked down to look into her eyes. "Your brother came with me, i bought this ring before everything happened." He said playing with the box. "I have always wanted you to be my wife Rachel, baby or no baby." He added laughing kneeling in front of her.
"Finn." She whispered. "I." She started rubbing her hand across his cheek. She locked eyes with the little box once more making sure it was all real.
Finn cleared his throat. "I'm going to propose to you now." He said smiling.
Rachel's head snapped up as she looked at him in the eyes.
"I was giving you the heads up." He said laughing. "I." He started taking his hand in hers. "I know it's not the perfect moment." he grimaced. "And it's not how i planned it, but i love you, i love you so much." He added watching as tears began to form in Rachel's eyes. "I know i hurt you pretty bad and i promise i will do everything i can to make up for this dark time even if it takes me years." He said choking. "But i need you to know that my love for you will never fade Rachel ." He said kissing her hand.
Rachel opened her mouth to speak but was stopped when Finn shook his head.
"I will understand if you say no Rach." Finn said closing his eyes. "I don't deserve much more right now, but i will keep asking you until the day you can trust me again." Finn cleared his throat and opened the box revealing the ring to Rachel. She looked down. It was beautiful. "Rachel Puckerman. Will you marry me?" He asked as he seen Rachel look back up to him.
Rachel opened her mouth and let her answer come out in a whisper. "Yes."
So that just happened! Anther chapter will be up soon but like i said i only have about 2 more left but if you guys want me to do more and want more of a story i can do that for you guys because the love and support i receive is amazing!
