With the girls
"Ok spill!" Jen said as her and Avery cornered June.
"Yeah, are you two back together or what?" Avery asked.
"Ok! Ok! Yes, we are back together." June said as she tried to get away from her girlfriends. Jen and Avery couldn't help but squeal and break out into giggles.
"Ooh! What about Hunter?"
"He was a jerk." June said as she crossed her arms across her chest. Avery and Jen looked at her with confused looks.
"How so?" Jen asked.
"He would stand me up on a couple dates and would cancel a date a few minutes before the date." June lied. She couldn't risk having the fact that Hunter is Professor Zoom to her best friends. It wasn't that she didn't trust them; she did. She just couldn't risk them finding out about Phoenix. She loved her friends and knew she'd only be putting them in danger by telling them. Even worse, what would happen if they were like Barbra or Bette? Find out that their friend is Robin and then ask to join the hero community?
Avery and Jen looked at June sadly.
"I'm sorry June." Jen said. Avery then gave her a big smile and put her hand on June's shoulder.
"But at least you have Bart!" Avery said. June gave her friends a big smile.
"That's true. Now let's get back to the dance."
With Bart
"So…" Zack narrowed his eyes at Bart.
"You're the guy who June is with?" Bart nodded hesitantly.
"Nice man. But watch what you say to her." Zack said as he patted Bart's back. Bart nodded at him.
"Yeah but if you hurt her, we will come after you in a heartbeat." Jake said.
"You won't have to. Besides, even if I do, you'll have to get in line." Bart laughed.
"Yeah her brothers, and dad, would kill you before you could blink." Jake said as he shuddered.
"Don't forget her cousin." Bart added.
"Oh yeah, and her cousin." Jake said. Bart started to feel a little more on the safe side with the two boys.
"June has a lot of people to protect her." Bart noted.
"She's the type of person you either love or you hate. Most of the people who hate her are jealous of her. But she's just someone who you'd be lucky to have as your friend, but unfortunate to have as your enemy." Jake explained. Bart smiled.
"Yeah. That makes sense."
"Here come the girls." Zack said as he looked over and saw the girls come towards them. The girls walked over to them and took hold of their boys.
"Come on, let's go dance." Avery said. Jen and June nodded then took hold of their boyfriends and dragged them towards the dance floor. Slow music then turned on. June shyly took Bart's hand, who grinned and gently wrapped his arms around her waist.
"I never knew Mr. Fleet-feet could dance." June whispered, giggling to Bart. He flashed her a grin and twirled her.
"I didn't. Caitlin and Jaime taught me." He admitted sheepishly.
"When did they do that?"
"Before they left." Bart said as he twirled her again. They continued to slow dance through the slow song. After the song ended, a fast song began and Bart lead June off the dance floor, and they sat down on a bench.
"So..." June trailed off.
"Yeah?"
"I'm bored." She groaned. Bart breathed a sigh of relief.
"Oh thank god. Want to go?"
"You read my mind." She admitted. She, Jen, and Avery dragged the three boys to the nearest ice cream place. June licked her chocolate ice cream and grinned at her boyfriend, who had already eaten at least three cones.
"Damn, how much can you eat?" Jake asked, looking impressed.
"A lot, I have a very fast metabolism." Bart explained. Jake and Zack looked at each other and looked back at Bart.
"Man I wish I had a fast metabolism." Jake said while Zack nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, I'd be able to eat so much ice cream." Zack added. Bart decided not to tell them that most food tasted the same to him. Food was basically just a fuel for him, he really couldn't slow down and taste things.
"We should get going." Jen glanced at her watch.
"See you Bart. June I'll see you at balle-" She faltered as she saw June rapidly shake her head wildly.
"WELL! I'm really tired. Good night all!" June grabbed Bart's hand and ran. In the middle of the sidewalk, Bart stopped her.
"June! What was she going to say?" June looked embarrassed.
"Uhhhh….Nothing."
"June…"
"Okay…She said ballet." She mumbled. Bart cocked an eyebrow at her.
"YOU do ballet?" June shoved him slightly.
"Yes." Bart tried to picture June in tights and a tutu. Needless to say, he started to crack up.
