Hey guys! So I finally got a new computer for my birthday this past Thursday and I've been meaning to upload a new chapter that is long over due. I really have no excuse other than the fact that I had no computer, I got a new job last November and I have been keeping busy watching Supernatural. So I hope I can stick with uploading chapters whenever I can. So far there will b two days a week that I actually have a day off from work and that is Thursday and Saturday. Once again, I really have no excuse other than those three reasons, mainly the fact that I didn't have a computer available for me to use. I'm planning to finish this story up before i continue any of my other stories. Well anyways, here's the continuation of this story.
With June
"Hi Bart!"
"June, I've been calling you all day! Where have you been?" Bart asked worriedly over the phone. June giggled; she told Bruce so.
"We had a family day out." She said, "It was boring. THEY PAINTED MY NAILS!"
"Aw, that sucks, June."
"AND IT'S PINK! I don't do pink!" June said. She could hear Bart laughing on the other end of the phone.
"It's not funny!"
"Sorry June, but it kind of is."
"Barrrt!" She complained. Bart smothered his laughter.
"Okay, okay. Are you coming on patrol tonight?"
"Yeah, I'll be there."
"Good. Sam and Len haven't done anything... I'm getting kind of concerned." He mumbled the last part, but June could still hear him.
"Who's-"
"Cold and Mirror."
"Oh.."
"So yeah...I'm getting pretty worried." Bart said, with a concerned tone in his voice.
"I don't blame you. They're somewhat family to you guys." June said.
"Yeah they kind of are. It's very weird that villains are like family in a way."
"I have to agree." June said as she got up from her seat. "I'm leaving now. I'll be there when I can."
"Alright, see you then." June hung up and walked down to the batcave. Once she got there, she changed into Phoenix and went straight to the zeta tubes. As soon as she stepped into Central City, something suddenly rushed at her. Then the world went black.
A couple hours later
"Ooh, she's waking up!"
"Stop poking her, James!"
"You were doing it too."
"I swear, if you touch me again, I'll break your arm!" Was the first thing that June said as she began to regain her consciousness. She sat up and looked at the people around her.
"Really? You guy again?" She said as he groaned and stood up. Around her was Captain Boomerang, Mirror Master, the Trickster, and Captain Cold.
"What do you guys want?"
"Well, we heard Baby Flash complaining that weren't doing anything." James stated cheerfully.
"He was pretty worried, and he was bored." June said.
"So we decided to kidnap you so Baby Flash can come and rescue you." James finished. June stared at them blankly.
"So...you only kidnaped me so that I could be rescued?"
"Yep! So you wanna play darts?" James asked with a smile. June stared at him blankly.
"Uh...sure." She agreed. James lead her over to a dart board and they began to play darts. After a few rounds, June turned to the rest of them.
"So was this really what you were up to?" She asked as she put her hands on her hips.
"Yeah pretty much." Len said as he looked up from the card game that he and the other men were playing.
"Hmm...why can't Gotham villains be this easy?" She asked herself, shrugging. There was then a soft ringing in the room.
"You guys took my phone?" June complained, "I just got it back!"
"Well, no proper kidnapper would let the hostage keep her phone." Len pointed out dryly.
"But still!" She complained.
"He has a point. It's like letting you have your belt or gloves. You'd be able to escape." Boomerang said.
"If I really wanted to leave, I'd be out of here by now." She told them simply, "I don't need my utility belt for everything, you know."
"Then what do you use it for?" Sam asked.
"Stuff."
"What kind of stuff?"
"Stuff that's none of your business." June sassed.
"Don't be sassy with me." Sam said. June childishly stuck out her tongue.
"Geez, kid. How old are you?" Cold muttered, "Nine? Ten?" June looked affronted.
"I'm fourteen thank you very much!" She glared at them, "I'm not THAT small..." She muttered the last part to herself, but everyone heard it. The villains couldn't help but chuckle.
"Whatever floats your boat kid." Sam said as he reshuffled the cards. Him and the others began a new round of poker.
"You want to play?" Len asked.
"Eh sure, why not." She said as she walked over to the table and sat down next to Sam. They then began the game.
"I wonder what's taking Bart so long. We were supposed to catch a movie after patrol." June thought out loud. The rouges shrugged. As if right on cue, Bart suddenly appeared in the room. He stared at them for a few seconds, a little taken aback at the scene. His girlfriend was playing a card game with his villains. Totally normal...
"What's up Baby Flash!" James yelled as he waved to Bart.
"Um...why are you playing cards with my villains?"
"Because there's nothing to do when your kidnapped." June said as she threw her cards down onto the table.
"All Ace! Pay up!" June said with huge smile on her face.
"I knew it was a bad idea to play poker with this kid." Len muttered as he and the others got out their wallets. Len and Sam each threw down twenty bucks. James pouted and handed her a ten. Digger groaned, "How on earth did you do that!?" He scowled while handing her thirty bucks. June collected her money.
"Trade secret." She smirked and winked, "I'm a Bat. You probably should have known better not to play poker with me."
"That's true." Sam said as he threw his cards down on to the table. Bart smiled and walked over to June, then took her hand.
"Now you guys stay out of trouble. Got it?" He said as he looked t the villains. They nodded and Bart walked out of the building with June, after she collected her things from Len. Once out of earshot, Bart sighed.
"They aren't going to listen, are they?"
"Not that I know of, no. Are you hurt?" Bart asked worriedly. June laughed and kissed his cheek.
"Thanks for the concern, Bart, but I'm fine." He smiled goofily.
"You'd think that after all those kisses you'd have stopped grinning so goofy after a single peck on the cheek." June teased.
"I never get tired of your kisses." Bart said as he kissed her forehead. June smiled and headed towards an ally. They turned the corner and grabbed their backpacks they kept hidden. They quick changed their costumes off, revealing their street clothes underneath and headed towards the movies.
"What movie?"
"I dunno. How about Grown Ups 2?" June suggested. "I heard it's hilarious." The guy at the ticket counter looked at the kids suspiciously.
"You don't look thirteen." He said. June bristled.
"I'M FOURTEEN FOR LORDS SAKE, IS IT THAT DIFFICULT TO REALIZE?!" She shrieked, throwing a hissy fit. Bart did his best to calm his girlfriend. People nearby began glancing at them nervously. The ticket guy gulped, leaning as far away as possible.
"E-enjoy the movie." He squeaked, handing them two tickets. She promptly took the tickets, shot him a final glare, and left to the popcorn stand as if nothing happened.
"Sorry about that." Bart said as he began to follow his girlfriend. Bart quickly caught up with June and they both entered the theater. Once they did, they sat down and waited for the movie to start.
